22/12/2024: Conosco questo Ristorante da anni e purtroppo, da quando è cambiato l'ultimo gestore, pur avendo perso del tutto accoglienza e atmosfera, per qualche tempo il cibo è rimasto di buona qualità. Ora si è persa anche quella. Il risotto era un vero e proprio "pastone". Un vero peccato.

29/12/2024: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ HostariaOur Sunday visit to Hostaria El Camino was an unforgettable experience! We arrived from Milan around 2 PM without a reservation, and the restaurant was completely full. Despite this, the owner greeted us with genuine warmth and, in just 10 minutes, found us a table—such incredible hospitality! 🙏🏻 We started with a feast of flavors: brasato with polenta, a rich and tender delight; crespella, light and perfectly crafted; Milanese with French fries, crispy and golden; and gnocchi with ragu, comforting and packed with authentic Italian taste. Every dish was a masterpiece, prepared with love and care. For dessert, we indulged in their homemade specialties: tiramisu, semifreddo chocolate, and a pannacotta with saffron flavor that was truly unique. Each bite was heavenly and showcased the essence of Italian culinary tradition. We paired the meal with 50 cl of white wine and water, and the bill came to just $120 for everything—incredible value for such quality! To top it all off, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner’s 91-year-old mother, who was sitting nearby. Her warm smile and charm added an extra layer of authenticity and heart to the experience. If you’re near Lake Como, Hostaria El Camino is an absolute must-visit. Delicious food, amazing hospitality, and an atmosphere filled with genuine Italian soul. Can’t wait to return!

21/10/2024: Wonderful experience! The atmosphere is welcoming, you feel at home, the service is impeccable and the food is perfect. We started with the tuna tartar and octopus salad, my husband had meat with green pepper sauce and vegetables and I had sea bass with potatoes, very delicate and delicious, to finish we ordered a coffee semifreddo. The owner of the restaurant, very friendly, gave us limoncello to close. Food and friendliness to sum it up!

08/01/2025: Came at 11.01 and asked for coffee. No you are too late it’s lunch time we are only serving food! Now we might have stayed for a glass of wine and even lunch but of course we didn’t! A pity!! The reply questions whether it was them. Unfortunately it was as it was on the right as we walked into Piazza Mazzini. It looked very nice and we were disappointed. Maybe the young lady who spoke to us was having a bad day. “dopo le undici solo se mangi qui”!!

02/11/2024: Lugar acogedor donde el amor, el cuidado y la deliciosa comida están en el menú. Durante nuestro viaje a Como cenamos allí dos veces. Los propietarios eran los anfitriones más cariñosos y serviciales que conocimos. Su bodega y consejo de sumiller / chef hicieron nuestra experiencia aún más memorable. Uno de los platos que comimos fue ragout de ternera con polentas, un tipo de polenta que no conocíamos. También nos regalaron una bolsa de este delicioso grano y tuvimos un acuerdo de que yo (como chef holístico) haría mi propia versión de este plato, de la cual adjunté una foto.

12/09/2024: Este restaurante es único en su clase. Si pudiera darle más de 5 estrellas lo haría. Desde el momento en que intervinimos nos trataron como familia. La calidez y la hospitalidad nos hizo sentir como si fuéramos largos - parientes perdidos volviendo a casa para una comida. El ambiente es íntimo, con aromas de frescura llenando el aire. Cada plato que comimos fue hecho con amor y pasión. Lo que hizo esto realmente especial fue la forma en que fueron más allá para hacernos sentir como si fuéramos parte de su historia. Fue una experiencia única en la vida y siempre será recordada. Si usted está buscando algo más que una comida - - Si usted está anhelando una experiencia genuina que se quedará con usted mucho después de que se vaya - - este es el lugar. 16/04/2024: Small but nice shop, without any frills..reduced to the max..very clean, very simple. Friendly service, large selection and incredibly delicious piadina, I had bacon, brie and rocket...€6.50 An estimated 30 variations are offered on the menu (also vegan) but you can also put together the filling according to your own taste. Just outside the old town, about 500m from the lake shore in a side street.. Real insider tip for a little hunger in between...😋👍

15/01/2025: The place is nice, in a typical style, we ate well at a fair price, the place also offers several beers to choose from, it has a games corner with billiards and table football suitable for kids (and adults). Definitely a place I would return to.

We understand the prices for the Christmas Day, but taking note He quickly rushed to score the 4 dishes, also: seeing that there were 2 of us adults and 2 children. The second plate good, but in general to pay €175 It's absolute madness. Disappointment very big, The positive note was only the attention of one of the waiters who spoke Spanish, but he was not who took note of us.
