05/03/2026: I just left this horrible place with great relief. Zero welcome, I think it was a mother and daughter. The place was deserted, the daily menu had very few options, and the appetizer consisted of supermarket-quality cured meats (the packaged ones). The roast was dry and tough, and if I hadn't insisted on polenta, I don't know how they would have served it. Hot sparkling water and rubbery bread. Not a smile or a word of kindness, a truly awful lunch. I think the view must have been pleasant, but with the thick fog, you couldn't see a thing. A day to forget.

24/09/2025: On Saturday, September 20, 2025, a friend and I went to the Gianpace Refuge. It's a beautiful refuge, a quiet, well-managed, and welcoming place, easily accessible to everyone with a simple walk. The trail is well-marked and not challenging. We ate and drank well. The Gianpace Refuge is featured in this year's Girarifugi della Lombardia (Lombardy Refuge Guide). It's a refuge I discovered this year, and it's worth a visit. The refuge is located in the Bergamo area, in the Orobie Park. You have to reach the village of Valgoglio, and then there's the trail. We visited the village and then took trail 232, which took us just over an hour to the Gianpace Refuge, stopping for photos and to admire the view. I've discovered other Bergamo valleys, as the Gianpace Refuge is located between Val Goglio and Val Sanguigno, in the Alta Val Seriana at an altitude of 1,331 meters above sea level. It was a pleasant trip that I recommend and we also found a beautiful sunny and warm day on our side.

16/08/2025: Private refuge. You arrive at the refuge after a hike on a sunny August day in a beautiful natural setting, but it has a sign saying it's private (only for friends of... and the association...). Another sign: bathrooms closed from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM (precisely during the time when people stop). I wonder what the point is... I'm writing this review so that anyone who hikes these trails can set out with no expectation of refreshments or use of the facilities. It would be nice if this were indicated on Google both at the start and along the trails, when the refuge sign is present several times.

01/10/2025: I went to Pastimbaldo for a business lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, the staff friendly and very quick with their service, a crucial quality when you're short on time during a lunch break. I started with the vegetarian meatballs with baked potatoes: a simple dish but prepared with great care. The meatballs were soft, flavorful, and well-seasoned, while the potatoes were cooked to perfection, golden on the outside and soft on the inside. For first courses, I tried two house specialties. The spaghetti cacio e pepe was creamy, with just the right balance between the saltiness of the pecorino and the bold note of the pepper, a traditional dish masterfully executed. The real surprise, however, was the pasta alla Pastimbaldo, an original and rich combination of ragù, cream, and pesto: three elements that together create a unique, enveloping, and surprisingly harmonious flavor. A dish that alone is worth the visit. Excellent value, generous portions, and fresh ingredients that truly make the difference. A perfect place for both a business lunch and a more relaxed break in good company. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well without sacrificing speedy service.

27/11/2025: I stopped by Bar Moon in Castel Rozzone for breakfast by chance, and it was a fantastic discovery! The atmosphere is very pleasant, well-kept, and welcoming; the service is excellent, and you can immediately sense the attention to the ingredients, which are truly top-quality. A special mention goes to Rachele, the barista: exceptional, friendly, and personable, she makes you feel like you're having breakfast at her home. A rare professionalism combined with a genuine smile that puts you in a good mood. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

05/01/2026: The terrace with a view is wow. Since the new staff member arrived, it's been a pleasure to go for breakfast here. Plus, the quality of the coffee seems to have improved. The friendliness has improved dramatically, something it lacked before. In fact, after hearing rumors, I returned and can confirm that I now always go there when I'm on vacation in Avitico.

01/03/2026: A quiet place where you can chat without having to shout. The service staff are very nice and friendly, and the owner puts his heart into it. The pizzas are large and well-spread, and they're delicious, with quality ingredients. I personally opted for the whole-grain base and was satisfied. The dessert (meringue) was also delicious and beautifully presented. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the prices are a bit high.

22/02/2026: Very nice, welcoming, and well-organized place. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. Boris is very kind, friendly, and helpful. The food is excellent; I would have added a little more ragù to the pasta, but overall, considering the other dishes and the relatively low prices, I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

23/12/2025: Ciro's pizza never disappoints me. It's a pleasure every time, the ingredients are top-quality, the portions are just right, and it's delicious. I find the dough excellent, even though I have a sensitive stomach and many pizzas are heavy, this one goes down wonderfully.

01/11/2025: This evening I stopped and ordered a ham and mushrooms. When it came out of the oven, it seemed a little burnt. The owner fixed it for a moment with his hand and boxed it. When I got home, I clearly saw that the pizza's crust was almost completely inedible because it was burned almost entirely. It's a shame because pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven is always the best, but if you work in a rush, you create a mess that the customer doesn't appreciate.

17/03/2026: I found it by chance but I have to say it was awful, the first course had no seasoning, just a bit of liquid cream, the second course was strips that you couldn't tell what kind of meat it was, drowned in cream that tasted like nothing, tap water, apart from the €13, I don't understand how they manage to go and eat, they are workers, not animals, never again, there are places where you can have a business lunch, much, much better, never again

14/10/2025: I always went there with my friends. A quiet place, ideal for a drink with friends, with ample space both indoors and out, low prices, and very simple but attentive service. A relaxed atmosphere, perfect for ending a lovely evening. I'm very fond of this place.
