05/01/2026: Had dinner here on December 31st with friends. Despite the busy evening, the selection of dishes and pizzas was excellent! The food was high-quality, tasty, and beautifully prepared. Friendly service and reasonable prices for the evening (only the wines and drinks were a bit higher than average).

31/12/2025: We had reserved a table for 9:30 pm and arrived at the restaurant around 10:00 pm. Although we were shown to our table upon arrival, we had to wait about half an hour before we could order drinks and food. By the time the food was finally served, it was already 11:00 pm, and of our group of nine, only four people received their meals. The ambiance and atmosphere were also disappointing, as the restaurant was very crowded, loud, and generally overrun. Furthermore, there was hardly any fresh air, which made the experience even more unpleasant. Overall, it was not a positive experience for us, and therefore we cannot recommend this restaurant.

21/12/2025: As always, excellent cuisine and a warm welcome from the owners. Recommended aperitif, with a wide selection of wines. A well-kept and unique venue. An experience to repeat!

19/01/2026: I'd describe this place as neither good nor bad: it doesn't excel in anything, except for its seafront location. One positive note is the bill, which, compared to other places on the promenade, leaves you with the pleasant feeling of having been ripped off a little less.

18/01/2026: Slow service, tables very close together, and the bread was clearly from the day before (which you wouldn't expect in a place where the cover charge is €3). It's a shame because the food was quite good.

14/10/2025: The atmosphere and view is stunning, with a beautiful peaceful beach near by, and the waiter was really kind, friendly and patient. The food was fresh with local additions, and the fish were fresh from the Mediterranean sea just next to it. So, if you are in Celle Ligure, give Ca du Ma a miss and go eat at A Battigia. Ignore the one star reviews.

30/09/2025: RUN AWAY! This place is to be avoided and very expensive! I'm from Celle Ligure, and unfortunately, I absolutely have to advise against coming to this place. A terrible experience. We sat down for an aperitif and were told it was no longer possible at 11:30 and that we could only be served chips. We sat down on the stools anyway, and after about twenty minutes, a couple sat down next to us and were served a small plate. Afterwards, I asked for an explanation, which was not given due to a "misunderstanding among the staff." In any case, the service was terrible and very expensive for what they offer. Avoid in Celle Ligure.

22/01/2026: We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astigiana over the Christmas holidays with our family. We immediately felt at home thanks to the warm, family atmosphere and the welcoming staff. The location is perfect, just steps from the sea, and the restaurant was a wonderful surprise: excellent cuisine and great attention to guests. It's an experience we'll cherish forever and highly recommend.

19/09/2025: I had the most wonderful stay here with my girlfriend! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with such warmth and genuine kindness that we immediately felt at home. Every single person we interacted with went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding. A generous spread with fresh, high-quality ingredients and plenty of delicious options to choose from. It was honestly one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had at a hotel and it gave us the perfect start to the day. Another huge plus was the secure parking garage. Knowing our car was safely tucked away gave us real peace of mind, especially while traveling. It’s such a thoughtful detail that really added to the overall comfort of our stay. All in all, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Friendly service, amazing food, and great attention to guest needs. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended!

05/09/2025: Truly a delicious pizza. I ordered one to try with the charcoal dough. It was amazing, super filling, and truly delicious. They also had classic dishes, including some truly top-notch ones. I hadn't heard of it, but I'd love to go back. I recommend it to everyone. Last but not least, the very clean bathroom.

13/12/2025: Unfortunately, the experience at this osteria was disappointing in every way. The seafood pasta arrived overcooked and completely flavorless, a dish that should have been the highlight but turned out to be bland and forgettable. The fritto misto, meanwhile, was neither good nor bad, verging on mediocre rather than good: plentiful, yes, but abundance can't make up for the total lack of flavor. The portions are generous, it's true, but it's natural to ask: what's the point of so much food if it doesn't excite and satisfy the palate? Quality should come before quantity. To make matters worse, the staff is cold and unwelcoming, making guests feel more like numbers than guests. No smiles, no special attention, no desire to make those at the table feel comfortable. A missed opportunity: an osteria should be synonymous with warmth, authentic flavors, and conviviality. Here, unfortunately, I found none of this.

01/02/2026: We thought we'd eat on the terrace, given the pleasant temperature, but instead lunch was served in the basement room. The atmosphere was rather sparse: rustic, with old-fashioned furnishings. Paper tablecloths. A few more touches would certainly make the welcome more pleasant. The cleanliness was good, however. Upon entering, you're greeted by a counter with a smiling and friendly lady, and then escorted to a small room that leads to the main dining room with more tables. Unfortunately, I don't know if we came on the wrong day, but the culinary experience was truly disappointing. • Spaghetti with clams: We weren't thrilled; they were flavorless and very bland. • Fritto misto: decidedly disappointing: very greasy, shrimp dry and without flesh, with the heads too dark, calamari soft and oily, lacking the crispiness you expect from good fried food. The price was unjustified. • First course with gurnard: good appearance and pleasant flavor, but the ravioli seemed to have been defrosted poorly; Some were overcooked, others tough to bite, and several were broken, as if they had been broken during preparation. • The meagre was good, although served in a small slice and with too much oil. • Side dishes: baked potatoes and mixed vegetables were excessively greasy and overcooked for my taste, so much so that I only tried a few potatoes. A positive note was the dark bread, which was good, while the turmeric one was raw inside. A real plus was the folded bread served at the right temperature and, above all, the kindness of the service, truly courteous and helpful. Overall, a bittersweet experience that, given the quality/price ratio, didn't convince us. The experience fell short of expectations, especially considering the prices. It's a shame, because there is potential.

06/01/2026: We chose this restaurant by chance on a winter's day, and it was a great experience. The dishes were top-quality and prepared with exceptional skill, and the service was excellent, knowledgeable, and courteous. The price was fair for the amount and quality of food we ate. Highly recommended!

22/08/2025: I didn't use the rooms, but I did use the restaurant. The raw materials were of questionable quality, and some of the preparations were unsavory. I would have served the fried shrimp with the intestines removed. The tempura didn't meet my expectations. The artisanal ice cream was very good.

22/09/2025: We received a warm welcome. They immediately helped me secure my bike downstairs. Good first impression. I ordered poke with salmon, tuna, and feta. I received a plate of dry rice (not sushi rice) without salmon, tuna, or feta. When I asked why, I was given a strange explanation. Very disappointing. In the end, I had to lug my own bike upstairs; the courtesy was gone...

21/09/2025: A measly one-star restaurant, with a menu displayed on the waterfront.... We booked a dinner menu, but had to order pizza! The kitchen was "sold out," with no food!!! They should have just let us know when we booked. Disrespectful!!!

02/05/2025: We went today for a drink, they asked us if we wanted a small plate but didn't say we had to pay. Surprise at the checkout: €2 more per drink for a saucer that was for one person. Never again
