06/01/2026: I often go to this historic venue for aperitivo. They serve both hot and cold dishes in good quantities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There's also an outdoor seating area, but in winter it's a bit drafty.

18/02/2026: It was nice, but there were a few things I didn't like. 1) There were often people yelling, screaming, and swearing in the hotel. 2) The hotel staff were often rude and impolite. 3) The rooms often became dirty within a few hours. etc.

15/10/2025: Hotel in an excellent beachfront location. The staff was very helpful with our needs and the issues related to not finding a restaurant available. They made the space available and accommodated our requests with great availability. The structure is not new, but it is still well-maintained. Breakfast offers a wide selection. The lack of an on-site restaurant doesn't justify giving it a 5-star rating for a 4-star hotel.

12/04/2026: Old-fashioned trattoria... as soon as I entered I remembered being there as a kid.. (or about 45 years ago... 🤭🙄) and nothing seems to have changed. Kind, good and plentiful food (the spaghetti al nero with mussels was excellent). Not à la carte but with various choices between 1, 2 and dessert. Honest!

15/05/2026: The food was very modest. The mussels had a strange taste. Unfortunately, the other dishes were also nothing special. The waiter didn't know the food and confused it.

14/05/2026: The staff were very friendly and efficient. We ordered pizzas and meat dishes: nothing special, so it's difficult to give it more than 3 stars. It's just another restaurant among many others on the Alassio seafront.

28/08/2025: The restaurant is located inside a campsite, and although there's often music and entertainment, dinner is a relaxed affair. The menu features seafood and pizza. For seafood lovers, this restaurant is addictive, not to mention the desserts. We tried practically the entire menu, including the pizza (we dined there 7 or 8 times in 15 days). The prices are low for the quality and abundance of the dishes. Michele and Rosa are super nice and friendly people, as is all the other staff. We haven't eaten this well in a long time!!!! How lucky we were to meet them at the beginning of our vacation! Top 🔝

24/04/2026: Today my daughter and I took a short break in Savona and stopped at this place. We had two very well-made salads. The staff was very attentive and friendly and they were also prepared to serve gluten-free dishes. We will return. Highly recommended.

19/04/2026: One small plate for five people enjoying an aperitif. When we asked the waiter if it was possible to have a second small plate, since there weren't even one piece of each dish each, we were told that because there were so many people, they were giving the same dish to every table (regardless of the number of people). Aside from the issue with the cocktail, it was good, and the location, right in the center, is very nice.

11/04/2026: We ate the pizza, I must say, good wholemeal pasta, very digestible, the only flaw is the price, dear gentlemen, don't take anything for granted, don't think that you are right regardless, if a customer points out something to you, he doesn't do it just to harm you, apart from this, my wife and I also had the impression that it was a bit excessive, but I will try again and see if I'm wrong.

03/05/2026: Ten of us, including a little girl, went to this restaurant. It wasn't my choice, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a truly negative experience. I'll start with the most serious aspect: we found hair in the fritto misto. There was one in the first dish, which was already disgusting. We reported it, and to prevent it from simply being put back into circulation, I squeezed lemon juice over it. I was also told not to do that, which I found absurd. In the second fritto misto, two hairs were even found hidden under the food. At that point, we decided not to send it back and everyone stopped eating. Regarding the service, part of the group had arrived about 20 minutes earlier and had already ordered. Once we were seated outside, we waited over 20 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. In the end, we were forced to get up and go inside to order. It can happen, but it's certainly not a good start. The food was awful. We ordered three appetizers, including two seafood salads. They had an unpleasant smell, like dishwasher-cleaned plastic, and tasted completely bland. We then each ordered a dish: a first course, pizza, and two mixed fried dishes. We sat down at 12:30, and the first course didn't arrive until 2:35: a truly unacceptable wait. The pasta sauce was sour and dry. In conclusion: terrible organization and, above all, poor hygiene. I absolutely do not recommend it.

03/05/2026: I updated my review after dining here on both May 1st and 2nd, 2026, and unfortunately, the experience was decidedly disappointing. I'll start by saying that the quality of the food is beyond question: what we ate was good. But everything else leaves much to be desired. The place was packed (even though it's not yet the height of summer season), but that doesn't justify such disorganized service. Slow service, forgetful and inattentive waiters: confusing orders, wrong dishes, and completely out of control timing. Of the four entrees ordered, two arrived after an hour and the other two after another 15 minutes... the result? Everyone ate on their own. Unacceptable. Also on May 1st, they brought us two portions of fries while we were still waiting for our entrees... completely nonsense. As for desserts: we ordered profiteroles on the first night and they were served with three cream puffs. The next night, the exact same dessert... but with two cream puffs, at the same price. Zero consistency. Details that make the difference: for fries, you always have to ask for mayonnaise and ketchup; nothing is brought spontaneously. The waiters' uniforms are practically nonexistent, so much so that they blend in with the customers. But the worst comes at the end: it's unacceptable to start clearing the table while we're still seated just to make room for other customers. If at 10:30 PM we were still waiting for four coffees that never arrived, it's only due to your disorganization. One waitress completely forgot to tell them, as well as a tiramisu that never arrived. More attention, more organization, and above all, more passion for this job is needed. Because if this is the service during a long weekend at the beginning of the season, I can't imagine what could happen in August. There's so much room for improvement. Review August 2025 One of the most popular pizzerias/restaurants in Ceriale, I've dined there in previous years, and it didn't disappoint. Excellent service with top-quality products. Hospitality and courtesy are the hallmarks. Prices are average compared to other competing establishments. Excellent cleanliness. The photos show the high quality of the food, even the entrees are plentiful and excellent. I always recommend making a reservation, especially in the summer, as it's always busy. The restaurant is located on the seafront promenade, with tables right on the street, which can be a bit annoying when people walk by and look at your food. There's little privacy. All in all, it's worth at least one dinner during your stay in Ceriale (Savona).

The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm and inviting, making it easy to unwind. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with quality ingredients and plenty of choice to start the day right. The location was also ideal—convenient yet peaceful, perfect for both exploring and relaxing. Overall, Hotel Gabbiano delivered a truly memorable experience with excellent service and comfort throughout. Highly recommended, and we would happily stay here again.

28/01/2026: For lunch, for us outsiders (from Imperia), there was only a first course and a second course of seared tuna, stew, or game. At the other tables, it's hard to imagine there was more to choose from, so much so that someone was served a plate of raw ham with buffalo mozzarella. I don't like to review colleagues, but this review is terrible. P.S. octopus ragù is a must.
