13/10/2025: I had a very good lunch, with little wait and a generous, excellent dish. The staff was very polite and friendly. There's even a charming little bird in a cage near the bar, which further brightens up the already pleasant atmosphere.

20/12/2025: I stayed in Savona from December 9th to 14th for work. The bar is very nice from the outside, located in one of Savona's most beautiful squares. Unfortunately, I'm giving it 2 stars for the service and the cappuccino I had for breakfast one morning: UNDRINKABLE. I asked for a cappuccino at the counter from a young man with short hair, who was probably his first job given his agitation, and he made me a scalding cappuccino, without foam. I left it and paid for it without returning in the following days. A bar this well-kept should probably pay more attention to what they serve to their customers.

02/03/2026: The owner IS NOT A KIND OR WELCOMING PERSON, even in difficult situations, such as with a very elderly customer in a wheelchair. And this DISQUALIFYS everything else. The food is good, with a few flaws: the friscioei (fried fish) were too large and therefore undercooked, and the anglerfish had too many flavors that didn't quite match on the serving plate. The breaded anchovies and fish soup were truly delicious. In response to the owner's response: so it was my mistake to not report the lack of courtesy, to put it mildly, to the right person, and my disappointment? There was a gentleman who looked like the owner or the manager, and I complained to him that he was the one who was rude. It was New Year's Eve at lunch, with all the traffic and parking difficulties that come with it, especially if you're in a wheelchair. He scolded us like we were at school for being 15/20 minutes late (we had a reservation, having made clear our disability), telling us that our table was already taken. He then huffed, rolling his eyes, and, as a concession, placed us at a very uncomfortable table behind the entrance door of the restaurant, opposite the main one, with the door constantly opening without closing, causing cold drafts on the backs of the frail person. And then, to access the bathroom entrance far from the table, kind people from a nearby table helped us. A very kind young waitress, on the other hand, treated us very well with the service.

16/02/2026: I booked for Saturday the 21st, so I booked well in advance. The reservation was initially accepted after four hours. That same day, they called me to cancel, saying they were closed on Saturday. When I asked for an explanation, as everything was fine four hours earlier, the person (obviously not the same person who had accepted the reservation) stammered, offering excuses and false arguments. Dear Sirs, doing catering with a capital R is not in your DNA. How sad.

07/01/2026: We were there yesterday. The staff were very polite, the food was excellent and plentiful. The only flaw was the two-seater table placed in front of a pellet stove, less than a meter away, and it was excessively hot... something to fix. We'll be back.

28/12/2025: Everything was excellent for Christmas this year. We had lunch at the restaurant. Everything was good. Excellent service and friendly, helpful staff.

08/02/2026: Nice place. Welcoming staff. I asked for their fish dish, and it was supposed to include octopus. A plate of octopus and four tufts arrived. Sorry. I paid 15 euros for a plate of potatoes.

26/01/2026: A welcoming restaurant in the historic center of Spotorno, well-established in the village. A typical Ligurian menu with carefully prepared and flavorful dishes. The marinated anchovies with sweet and sour red onion are excellent, and the trofie with mussels, broccoli, and saffron are a success, balanced and fragrant. Friendly service. A positive experience, highly recommended.

10/03/2026: My daughter's birthday was supposed to be a special day but unfortunately I had to ask several times for at least the drinks to be brought since I had been waiting for more than 40 minutes and I was told after an hour of waiting at the table that if I wanted I could also leave... really rude, friends of the owner who arrived after us were served first and immediately had the drinks and everything else... not even simple breadsticks on the table of 14 people. What a disgrace... never again... shame...

09/03/2026: An unforgettable evening at Uncle GianFester's Tavern! 😍 I ate delicious farinata: rarely do you find one so thin and delicate, truly excellent. In addition to the excellent food, my family and I had a blast with the quiz night organized for Women's Day. The engaging and cheerful atmosphere made everything special. Kudos to the entire staff; it's an experience I absolutely must repeat! I'll be back to enjoy the focaccia and Nutella as a prize! 👏✨

10/03/2026: Much more than a trattoria, it offers a wide selection of excellent dishes at a fair price. Surrounded by greenery and away from traffic. The wooden structure, like a mountain home, creates a warm and refined atmosphere, enhanced by wall heaters that keep the room nicely warm in the winter. There's also a veranda and ample parking in front. The food is good and the portions are generous. The dishes are traditional, from Piedmont and Liguria: raw meat with truffles, plin pasta with various sauces, tagliolini, stewed wild boar, jugged donkey, and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. The prices are fair and the quality-price ratio is excellent. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. A perfect place for dinners with family, friends, or groups. Recommended.
