20/02/2026: I hadn't been there since 2010. I was passing through La Spezia and wanted to go back with some old friends of mine even though there are many competitive places in the city now. Well, I have to say that it's still number one both for food (I ate panigacci and meat) but above all for prices. Top.

19/02/2026: We went to Vecchio Mulino in Sarzana and I have to say we had a truly wonderful time. We had a table of 28 people, a number that would overwhelm many restaurants, but everything went off without a hitch. The staff was absolutely top-notch: fast, well-coordinated, and very attentive, which is not a given when there are so many of you. Despite the large group, the dishes arrived hot and without endless waits (with dishes placed at the center of the table). There's not much to say about the food; the sgabei are excellent, as are the cured meats, and the first courses are fully in keeping with local tradition. As for the meat, it was possible to cook it more gently using a brazier that was brought to the table. The quality-price ratio was excellent, although the prices have increased slightly compared to a few years ago. If you're planning a group dinner in Sarzana and want to play it safe, this is the place. We'll definitely be back!

14/02/2026: I dined at this restaurant two nights in a row. The first night I had a mouth-watering pizza and a farinata appetizer—what can I say? Everything was excellent! The second night I wanted to try the meat, and I have to say it was fabulous, both the cooking and the way it was served, and it was excellent! Franco, the owner, is a wonderful and friendly chef! I'll be back!

28/02/2026: A little gem in the small square of Montemarcello, where time seems to have stood still and the relaxed, inviting atmosphere captivates. This small restaurant is run by three sisters who offer local Ligurian cuisine with a touch of Moroccan cuisine. Their excellent, smiling, welcoming, and friendly staff, along with the ambiance, are the real plus of this place. A must-try.

13/10/2025: I happened to be passing through town in the afternoon and spontaneously stopped for a tasting platter of mixed tarts and then some desserts because it was just so wonderfully cozy and friendly. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere of the square is magical, and the café owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating.

11/03/2026: Delicious dishes and appropriate portion sizes. The servers were smiling and welcoming. Good value for money.

25/01/2026: Evening of September 21, 25. We're about to go in and the waitress points to two tables to choose from. A guy, I assume the owner, interrupts, desperate for attention. He tells me everything is already full and booked (I see two out of three tables free). Then he starts making jokes about everyone's physical characteristics. I ask him: are you going to make us pizza in the end or not? With a smug air, he peremptorily points to a table that isn't one of the two the waitress indicated. Almost as if he were offering us charity! I signal to my wife for us to leave. The freak stammers that he was joking. "No, dear, learn to behave and then we'll see." For the record: just a few steps away we find another pizzeria where we were very happy. And since you're acting so much like Superman, comment on my review, because you must remember the episode well.

03/03/2026: From the historic center of La Spezia, I walk there with my mother and my partner, following the opening times listed on Google and the unpleasant surprise that at 7 pm, perhaps a few minutes earlier, the ice cream shop was actually closed.

13/02/2026: Servers lovely Vermontino, nice little bar, brightly lit, lots of Ice cream and cakes... I tried terribly to speak Italian to the chap behind the bar and he brought us a tapas of bread... Lovely experience...

23/11/2025: Very nice place, a little out of the center. Delicious pizza, as well as the tagliata and tartare. Excellent desserts, very friendly staff, fast service. Excellent value for money.

22/02/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance a long time ago. I had tagliatelle there with the best ragù I've ever had... If it's still there, I highly recommend it.

13/02/2026: Delicious pizza, very friendly staff. Yesterday, in addition to excellent pizza and farinata, I tried a traditional local rice cake. (The owner offered it to me for a taste.) What can I say? It was all delicious. CONGRATULATIONS

29/11/2025: Let's start with the peculiarities that some people might not like: don't expect a menu with a slew of pizza types. They serve Margherita and farinata pizzas, plus other deli specialties (savory pies, etc.). That said, the pizza is spectacular. The mozzarella is soft, whereas in practically every other pizzeria I find it rubbery. The pizza is pan-baked, and I really like it. It's both soft and crispy, and even the crust is a pleasure to eat. The farinata pizza is wow. When I'm in Sarzana, I'll tend to eat here 😁.

01/12/2025: I didn't stay overnight, but the restaurant offers excellent local dishes at very reasonable prices. The service is quick and courteous, and the atmosphere is family-friendly.

11/02/2026: One evening, some friends took us there by chance; they already knew the pizzeria. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in Naples, surrounded by the Naples flag and a photo painted on the wall overlooking the sea. Run by a husband and wife team, both Neapolitans, what can I say? The pizza is excellent, given that most pizzerias in La Spezia are used to making a standard crust, but they make a thick crust, and for those who are daring, they can fill it with ricotta. The ingredients are excellent, and the owner was very kind. The placemats with Neapolitan cabala are charming; at the end, the owner offered us a liqueur for anyone who wanted it. So, what can I say? I'll definitely be eating there again. The price is average because, considering the ingredients, it's fine. Go and try it, you won't be disappointed.

08/02/2026: Neapolitan pizza with good ingredients, well-crafted dough, and quality ingredients. The place is welcoming and has a pleasant atmosphere. Pizza prices are in line with the area. The only downside is the price of drinks, which are a bit high compared to the rest of the offerings. Overall, a good experience, but there's room for improvement in this area.
