03/10/2025: This is hands down the best restaurant in Riomaggiore. It’s absolutely baffling to see a 4.2 star overall review. This is the only fine dining experience you’ll get in town and it is fantastic. Amazing gluten free options.

03/10/2025: The food was great, but the overall experience slightly underwhelming. One of the staff members eating and stuffing his mouth behind the main counter and then my pet hate - being served a few slices of bread and some olive oil being described as a local delicacy and then charged 6 Euro for it! Honestly! Charge for it upfront or increase the fees of your menu items - this truly leaves a bad taste in the mouth!

13/10/2025: We had dinner with friends. The pizza was excellent, with a mid-range/high price, as was the clam pasta dish. Very little wait after ordering, and excellent service.

12/10/2025: The seafood pizza was amazing! I've never had such a delicious and light seafood pizza with so much fish! Congratulations, well done!

18/07/2025: Sehr einfaches Restaurant, aber gute Ligurische Küche Vorspeisen sowie Hauptgericht und Dessert sehr gut die Mama Kocht und Papa macht die Pizza. Da es uns so gut gefiel waren wir öfters dort. Das Essen für 4 Erw. Personen mit Getränke unter 55 € oder weniger. "Gut und günstig" Halt auf dem Land Das Restaurant war immer sehr gut besucht.

20/09/2025: A €14 breakfast. Two croissants, a coffee, a cappuccino, and a small strawberry tart for €7.00!!!! €1 per strawberry, practically... Exorbitantly priced, as if we were by the sea or in a Venetian piazza, and the prices weren't displayed; when asked, the waiter told me the tart cost €5... For a basic breakfast (coffee and cappuccino are fine), but don't bother going into the pastry shop... The reviews greatly overrate this place; for half the price, you can easily get better breakfasts, even by the sea. A half-empty cream croissant, average coffee... Overall, value for money, highly not recommended.

01/09/2025: We arrived at 12:15 just to be told they open at 12:30, not being offered to look at the menu in the meantime or to sit down somewhere to wait (it was empty). The place is obviously charming, food was ok, very small portions for the price but ok given the location, however the coperto 5€ per person sounds like a scam for a simple trattoria without even proper tablecloths…not to mention there is lots of room for improvement in the service and the welcome.

24/08/2025: I'd like to give it 100 stars, but I can't! Last night I had dinner with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary, and thanks to the wonderful evening, the location, and the dinner, we had a wonderful evening! Excellent food and wine, very fresh fish, and friendly staff. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews that kept us from booking! Some people should do what they know how to do, not keyboard food critics, who probably don't know how to cook a hard-boiled egg! Thank you so much to the owner and our waiter for their kindness! 01/10/2025: Judging by the over-whelming review responses so far being combative rather than accepting, I did wonder if it were worth writing this. After all, isn’t one positive aspect of an honest review being that those responsible for the establishment can improve? I visited with my husband - one night stay. First things first, acknowledgment where it is due, the owners/people at this establishment are lovely and are intent on giving good service. All are very friendly and courteous -but other than this element, I’m afraid I’m at a loss as to why many other reviews are so at odds with our own recent experience. The views, of course, are absolutely stunning ….. but when that’s been said, nothing else is anywhere close to acceptable, let alone impressive. It’s obvious that the picture-book location is expected to deflect any and all expectations of comfort. There really is precious little. Please don’t expect that the photos were taken this side of the millennium, and at that fast-receding point in time, the decoration and facilities were more than likely passable - but having clearly had zero investment in the fabric since, it has become tired and massively past its sell-by date and in dire need of maintenance on a grand scale. It has to be said, however, that as some buildings fall into decrepitude, they become oddly iconic. Perhaps this is a case in point….. but be warned, don’t expect anything less than an authentic Adam’s Family mansion experience complete with incredible, breath-taking views.

21/09/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel La Riserva di Castel d'Appio. The place is full of charm, the view is magnificent, and the setting is very relaxing. The staff is charming and efficient, whether at reception, at breakfast, or in the restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and the food is of high quality. We will gladly return!

24/09/2025: I've never eaten at a beach restaurant, but the person inviting us had decided to do so... I have to say the basics were there: I would have perhaps avoided too much fried sage in the stuffed anchovies and would have preferred tagliolini instead of scialatielli. By the way, my grandmother, a Genoese woman, used to bake anchovies stuffed with chard and other ingredients, leaving them whole. Are the "cigar-shaped" and fried ones a local variation?

11/10/2025: Terrible service. With the dining room half empty, we waited forever both to order and for someone to come and collect our dishes. The main courses were never picked up, so we didn't even have a chance to order dessert unless we'd waited another hour.

03/09/2025: A place with authentic, home-made flavors and friendly service. Everything is delicious, a typical, simple trattoria from the Ligurian hinterland. The menu is always the same: ravioli and rabbit. The price is around €30 per person, perhaps not cheap and not suitable for a business lunch.

01/10/2025: Large shopping mall.Clean and well maintained. Large coop supermarket and some very nice shops. Surprisingly there is also a good bookstore

22/09/2025: We visited with friends and accompanied them on their shopping trips, where they had pleasantly furnished their garden with an outdoor set and a storage box for their tools.

30/08/2025: If I ask for a quarter of a liter of wine and I'm told that the minimum order is half a liter, something is already wrong. Note the exorbitant price of 8.50 for a semi-tavernello🤣. Nothing to say about the quality of the second course and side dish, but 2 euros for a coffee? 7.50 for a cup of tiramisu? 2.50 for a cover charge? 🖐 BYE AND YOU WILL SURELY GET THE PUBLICITY YOU DESERVE! Ps. I respond to the serious offense directed at me by pointing out to the gentleman that if anything, it's his face whose function we don't quite understand given the perfect resemblance to his behind😂😂😂

01/10/2025: A little insider tip. The seating inside isn't that nice, but the outside is good. BUT: the service and the pizza makers are super friendly and fast. Many thanks to the friendly team. And most importantly: the food is super delicious – whether it's insalata mista, calamari fritis, or pizza. It's a shame there aren't more dishes on the menu (meat, fish). Keep up the good work!
