09/01/2025: Friendly staff and convenient location but... Several of us felt unwell and weighed down (we didn't digest it).. Expensive prices and dinner with a little cold cuts and mozzarella (2), all accompanied by small portions of focaccia. Cold environment and heated by a small electric heater, absolutely insufficient for the environment. There is worse, but not to be repeated.

01/01/2025: Novantiqua is much more than just a bar or restaurant. It is the place where you can drink some of the best cocktails in Bordighera and at the same time it is a refined restaurant that expertly blends the cuisine and flavors of Liguria with the distant and exotic ones of Japan. Nothing is left to chance, from the manga-style cocktail list to the vast wine list that ranges between Italy and France. A mandatory stop for anyone in these parts.
26/09/2024: En Français ci dessous. Passez votre chemin. What an experience ! Highly over rated. Next time a restaurant is completely empty, maybe it's better to just leave ! We were received very chic, good music in a refined room. Super friendly staff, Nothing to say about this. Menu in French and English We chose an organic wine, the waiter told us it was a natural wine, €11 a glass. That it was a natural wine, I have no doubt, I usuelle Alias drink natural wine where I live in France. But to me this wine has no character. Rather bland. But for the wine, it's indeed a question of taste. I accept. It wasn't bad. We shared a sushi for starters. 8 sushi in all, 4 per person. I've traveled a lot in Japan and China, eaten in good restaurants. Our Sushis : *Dragon Nova Roll* Sanremo prawns in tempura, spring onions, spicy mayonnaise, avocado sashimi and teriyaki Wow ! Sounds very tasty. This sushi is not worth half its price of €26!!! The ingredients are tiny and with all the rice, blend. And we paid €3.25 per piece of sushi! Then came the main course. Red Tuna, Scallops, Shiitake Mushrooms, Spring Onions and teriyaki sauce. €19 per person. There was this word for which I did not ask for the translation: *Gyoza* of the Day. It was in fact 6 *Dumplings* per person. Too bad that neither the French menu nor the English menu translates this word Gyoza which is indeed the word for traditional Japanese ravioli. But Dumplings or Ravioles, it doesn't matter ! The dough was so *thick* that you can't detect the ingredients. With the sauce, it makes it all go down ! Let's say Dumpling instead of Raviolis because dumplings it was, but I've eaten good dumplings, with dough as thin as a sheet of paper. These dumplings, we paid 3.16 per piece ! Of course, we're not hungry anymore after all that rice and dough but honestly, at this price we ask for better. However, I wanted a dessert to finish. And I was really surprised. A delight! I think the chef in the kitchen excels in pastry, maybe in truth he's more of a pastry chef. Price: 104.50 with a starter for two, 2 glasses of wine, 2 main courses and a dessert. A real tourist trap! And no one else in the restaurant. A few people in the bar. I let you judge for yourself. Xxxxxxx Quelle expérience ! Au prochain fois qu'un restaurant est tout vide, peut-être qu'il vaut mieux simplement sortir. Nous avons été reçu très chic, de la bonne musique dans une salle épurée. Très bien. Personnelle super sympa, Rien à dire la dessus. Menu en français et en anglais. On a choisi un vin bio, le serveur nous dit qu'il s'agit d'un vin nature, 11€ le verre. Qu'il s'agit d'un vin nature, j'en doute pas, je m'y connais, mais un vin sans aucune caractère. Plutôt Fade. Mais pour le vin, c'est effectivement un question de goût. J'accepte. Il n'était pas mauvais. Nous avons partagé une entrée de sushis. 8 sushis en tout, 4 par personne. Pas mal. J'ai beaucoup voyagé au Japon et en Chine, mange dans des bons restaurants. Sushis : *Dragon Nova Roll* Gambas de Sanremo en tempura, ciboule, mayonnaise épicée, sashimi d’ avocat et teriyaki Whaooo. Ça donne envie. Ce sushi ne vaut pas la moitié de son prix de 26€ ! ! ! Les ingrédients sont minuscules et avec tout le riz, bœuf. On a quand même payé 3.25€ par morceau de sushi ! Ensuite arrivé le plat principale. Thon Rouge, Coquilles Saint Jacques, Champignon Shiitake, Ciboule et sauce teriyaki. 19€ par personne. Il y avait ce mot pour lequel je n'ai pas demandé la traduction : Gyoza du Jour. Il s'agissait en effets de 6 Dumplings par personne. Dommage que ni le menu français, ni le menu anglais traduit ce mot Gyoza qui en effet est le mot pour des ravioles traditionnels japonais. Mais Dumplings ou Ravioles, peu importe ! La pâte était tellement *épaisse* qu'on ne détecte rien aux ingrédients. Si la sauce, ça fait passer le tout ! Disons plutôt Dumpling, mais des bons dumplings j'en ai mangé, avec une pâte fine comme une feuille de papier. Mais ces dumplings, c'est carrément du vol. Et on paye 3.16 par morceau ! Bien sûr, on n'a plus faim après tout ce riz et pâte mais franchement, à ce prix on demande mieux. J'ai toutefois voulu un dessert. Et la j'ai été franchement surpris. Un délice ! Je pense que le chef en cuisine excelle en pâtisserie, peut être qu'en vérité il est plutôt un pâtissier. Prix : 104.50 avec une entrée pour deux, 2 verre de vin, 2 plats et un dessert. Une vrai trappe touriste ! Et personne autre dans la salle de restaurant. Quelques personnes dans le bar. Je vous laisse juger vous même.

06/04/2025: Ottima cena con amici in questo ristorante che ha recentemente cambiato gestione. Molto buone l' orata ripiena di carciofi, la tagliata di manzo e il coniglio alla ligure. Aggiunto ai contorni già compres,i 4 porzioni di verdure grigliate. Squisiti anche i dolci : panna cotta con frutti di bosco , tortino con cuore di cioccolato e il tiramisù, cucinati dallo chef. Vino Rose locale di qualità. Staff molto gentile che ci ha proposto una serie di digestivi offerti dalla casa. Discreto il rapporto qualità e prezzo

09/03/2025: While traveling on the Ligurian coast, we had dinner on two consecutive evenings: one with fish and the other with pizza. The first evening the fish was excellent, both fried and tuna in crust. On the second evening the pizza was delicious with a light and super digestible dough. Very kind staff

21/03/2025: We went here last night for dinner, the pizza was excellent, but everything else left a lot to be desired. The service was incompetent and unprofessional and, if the owner was also there yesterday, unfortunately he was no different. There were four people plus an owner who moved the chairs. We waited forever for someone to come to us with the menu (and by the way we were the only customers in the restaurant, which makes it even more absurd). The waiter chatted with the owner and other staff members while still holding our order without handing it to the chefs. Slow, disorganized, probably the worst service I've ever seen. We were kind and polite, but we did not receive the same treatment. We don't speak fluent Italian and it just seems like this is one of those places where they have problems with customers who are not Italian, even if they end up paying the same amount. Not to mention that tourism is fundamental for places like this. After we finished eating, we asked for the bill and the owner told us to wait. We waited 25 minutes (!) while the waiters walked around the restaurant, staring into space and keeping their hands in their pockets. When we pointed out again that we had been waiting too long, they motioned us to go to the cashier, where they also made us pay €2 for the service... a non-existent service, given that everything was very slow and done with little desire. I think there are many other places with good pizza and, above all, with decent service, not with a group of people who do their job badly and even demand money for it. Sad.

I had booked for lunch on my way to Milan, and although I arrived 1 hour later than my booking, just gone 2pm which is their official closing time, they still welcomed me and served me with no hesitation or pressure. I had the fresh Tagliatelli with Pesto & Vongole, which was super delicious and finished off with their homemade brownie & an expresso. All very reasonably priced too. Thank you to the kind waitress & sous chef.

02/01/2025: Very pleasant environment, well-kept place, simple but nothing is left to chance. The restaurant offers three tasting menus, we chose the 5-course seafood menu and we were pleasantly satisfied, excellent raw materials worked well. Excellent service and customer care. I would happily return to enjoy another great dinner.
05/12/2024: Beautiful restaurant on the promenade of Celle Ligure. Very characteristic, intimate, with exposed brick walls. We took the seafood tasting menu (€55.00 each) which included 5 courses, two starters, a first course, a second course, a dessert and then we ordered a Ligurian pigato. Excellent table service and chef Simone who came to say hello at the beginning and end of the dinner. It is definitely worth a try for those who love good food

I didn't have a good perception of the place to eat and the price... and instead I have to say I changed my mind... the quality/price ratio was excellent, everything was really good, courtesy, smiles, really compliments... THANKS TO ALL
