28/11/2025: We're campers, and every time we come to San Bartolomeo, we come to Ancora.
I've tried both the pizza and the fish first and second courses, all excellent.
But their fried calamari and tiramisu are phenomenal, the best I've ever eaten in my life.
Having lunch and dinner with a sea view is truly exceptional.
The service is always fast and impeccable.
The girls serving tables are always polite, kind, and knowledgeable, which is not always a given.
We'll see you again soon!

28/12/2025: I went there for dinner during a relaxing weekend at the beach. The place is cute and uniquely decorated. They have a good selection of meat cuts and burgers. I opted for a Florentine steak, and I have to say it was very good. The prices are obviously in line with the quality of the ingredients. If you're looking for a good grill restaurant in the area, you've come to the right place!

The cutlet is crispy and juicy, the pizza is super flavorful, and the mussels are incredibly fresh! Every bite is a real treat, and the staff makes you feel right at home. A place that warms the heart and the palate. If you're passing through Pietra Ligure, you can't miss it!
30/09/2025: Hello! We were passing by and decided to stop in. It's atmospheric, cozy, clean, and fresh. The staff includes people with disabilities. It's very nice and welcoming. The food is delicious, the meat is tender and juicy. The portions are large, but the taste and quality are not compromised. Our order included: pizza, meat, pasta, ravioli, two salads, sorbet, two ice creams, 500 ml sparkling wine, 1 liter of water, plus compliments. The bill was 80 euros. Five people tried it and were satisfied. It makes us want to come back and try new dishes. Thank you so much! Delicious, fast service, and attentive attitude. It's simply a warm place! 06/01/2026: I strongly advise against this place because at 12pm, with the place completely empty, they sent us away, saying that they do not accept dogs (preamble), we have a 3 kg Chihuahua dog in our handbag. As soon as the lady saw us with the animal and with the excuse that everything was booked with a disturbed area, as if having a dog were a crime, she sent us away very arrogantly as if they were the only ones in La Spezia who do catering.

01/11/2025: We came back after a lovely first experience, hoping for another great meal but unfortunately, this time was a letdown. Things started off okay, but there was a mistake with our primi course. We politely asked for what we had originally ordered, and while it was eventually brought out, the dish wasn’t prepared well it just didn’t taste right.
To make matters worse, the service felt cold. The corrected dish was brought out with no smile or acknowledgment, and overall we felt like we were an inconvenience rather than welcome guests. It’s a shame, because we had high hopes based on our first visit, but this experience really changed our impression.
09/09/2025: Honestly, we had booked at another restaurant, but due to our delay, our table was given to someone else. Fair enough, no fuss, in fact, thank you! We discovered this place, seemingly anonymous from abroad but welcoming, intimate, and elegant inside, specifically in the courtyard. Indeed, upon entering, we find a hallway with the cash register, the restrooms (clean and tidy), the kitchen, and then the restaurant area with a beautiful, well-kept, and quiet internal courtyard. The dishes are well-presented and flavorful. Excellent wine selection. Coffee in the Moka pot at the table. Attentive service. Prices in line with the aforementioned setting. Recommended.

03/10/2025: The lady was very kind, the rabbit was very good, the ravioli were homemade but the pasta was a bit thick and the filling was not very tasty. Even the homemade farfalle had a bit of thick pasta.

28/03/2025: We came and expected nothing but we we're blown away by the hostess' friendliness and the level of service even though we didn't speak the same language. The quality of the food is incredible.
Best ragu we've ever had. Best tiramisu we've ever had. Great wine, great beer, great everything!
We returned for a second night and had just as great an experience! If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience this is THE place. And the prices are very fair!
14/03/2025: This is such a lovely family run restaurant! We went during the off season and it was very quiet but the food was homemade and the service was great. Would recommend if you are in the area!

27/11/2025: Very average and almost tasteless pizza, we were really disappointed. We even told owners but they seemed quite uninterested and simply said, “well, I guess we won’t be seeing you again!” Very odd response.
9euro cover charge (for 3 people!) for a soggy piece of focaccia. Best of luck with this…
