14/12/2025: Osteria serving classic Piedmontese dishes, all of good quality and prepared according to tradition. A quiet place to have lunch with friends or family, without too many pretensions or great cuisine. But the price/quality ratio is truly rare these days. Recommended! Well done!

13/12/2025: I stumbled upon it by chance and it was a wonderful discovery!!! The veal with tuna sauce as an appetizer was truly delicious, the red cabbage flan with Fontina fondue was excellent, the fusilloni with Castelmagno, hazelnuts, and pepper were truly delicious, and to finish, an excellent orange and Campari sorbet. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

03/01/2026: The owner wasn't very friendly, the place was freezing cold. We were wearing coats and waited 15 minutes for them to come and take our order. I don't recommend it.

18/01/2026: Disastrous experience. Intrusive and annoying staff, ridiculous wait times even after repeated reminders. The dishes took forever to arrive, and the quality was terrible: subpar udon noodles, poorly cooked and tasteless. It was also unacceptable that some dishes were served spicy without being requested. Total lack of customer service. Dinner ruined. Absolutely avoid.

17/01/2026: From the outside, it looks like a dated restaurant, but believe me, it's worth going in and tasting all the delicacies they prepare every day. Each dish is better than the next, everything is fantastic. Unlike many other restaurants of this kind, everything is made by them, and the difference is evident in every dish. A family-run business where the parents cook and the daughters welcome you with a big smile and lots of patience. Congratulations, family. Definitely our favorite place.

17/01/2026: Located at the beginning of Isola del Cantone (coming from Serravalle along the Giovi state road), formerly known as Trattoria Balostro, Trattoria al Vecchio Scalo is renowned for its ravioli a ü tuccu, but the other dishes also satisfy the most refined palates. We (6 people) enjoyed tagliatelle made with red wine, red radicchio, onion, and sausage, paccheri, artichokes, speck, and parmesan. Unfortunately, the ü tuccu was sold out, so we tried ravioli with meat sauce and gnocchi creamed with Montasio cheese. Everything was kneaded and prepared by hand. For second courses, we chose a tagliata with truffle. The desserts, also homemade, included a mille-feuille cake with Chantilly cream, tiramisu, and pandolce with warm zabaglione cream. Since everything is prepared fresh to bring out the best in the flavors, waiting times aren't a factor, but it's worth it. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Parking is in front of the restaurant on the other side of the highway.

23/11/2025: Hello, good morning or good evening. I'd say it's best not to talk about stars in this case. I'll just say that we ate the worst pizza of my life. I spent €30. For a tasteless pizza with dough that people still don't know today, even in 2025, that uses 00 flour, meaning dextrose, which is highly refined, which isn't a quality; on the contrary, it's bleached and has zero nutritional value. €30. For half a meter and a liter of ice-cold water that I had ordered, room temperature, and mozzarella, which isn't mozzarella, but a mixture made into balls, cheese-flavored (see the boxes in wholesale supermarkets). The staff are always annoyed and rude, and the owner at the cash register has no interest in the customer, only in their pocket.

30/12/2025: We chose to dine here, choosing among the various options in Chiavari, and we were very satisfied. The pasta was cooked to perfection (with scampi and rossetti), and the zuppa inglese was fantastic. The owners were very welcoming, and the prices were average.

23/10/2025: We chose this place for an evening in the Sanremo area, but unfortunately, we were a little disappointed. The service was friendly, but the rabbit arrived a bit cold/lukewarm. The place has great potential, but in our opinion, it's underutilized. Unfortunately, the dishes we chose weren't anything special; in fact, they were quite mediocre. The lady who served us was friendly, and the price was good for the area.

15/01/2026: We had dinner with colleagues and, as usual, chose a restaurant in the city. This time we went to Cadraio, but the experience wasn't positive. Besides the high price for the dinner, the flavors didn't live up to the hype, and it felt like we were eating at one of those €10 trattorias for a weekday lunch or break. We expected much, much more. Not to mention the house wine... Corrado.

We found the atmosphere comfortable and the staff very friendly, who made us feel at ease and explained the local dishes, which we found excellent, from the trio of anchovies appetizer (delicious) to the seafood spaghetti and the wonderful pandolce. 27/11/2025: I'm in love with Imperia. Like every year, almost like a ritual, I have to go to Lanterna Blu to relive the same experience that has been with me since I was a child. La Lanterna Blu isn't just a restaurant; it's the symbol of this beautiful province. It's a magical place characterized by an elegant, distinguished, clean, and comfortable setting. Max makes you feel right at home, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. But let's move on to the dishes. What can I say? They're in keeping with the location and could sum it all up in one word: "Quality." The catch of the day I ate was sublime; the ingredients were fresh and served with care and elegance, the attention to the customer and their needs was attentive, and the wine list was vast. All these qualities should be taken for granted, but unfortunately, these days they're not easy to find in the restaurant world. In short, maybe it's just me who has a soft spot for this place, but it's definitely a place worth visiting if you're in the area. See you soon, Max.
