02/11/2025: Excellent food and a stunning view, a discovery above La Spezia that we'll definitely be back for. It doesn't offer a wide selection of dishes, but that's the key to good food: stuffed mussels and skewers are phenomenal. Highly recommended!

The fried food was excellent, the croissant was delicious, the pesto was excellent, absolutely worth trying. Well done, and thanks again for your hospitality on a busy Sunday.

09/10/2025: The food is excellent, no matter what you order but the branzino al sale is especially amazing. The place is very well decorated with an intimate atmosphere and the service is fast and non-invasive.

05/10/2025: We arrived without a reservation, but they easily accommodated us at a table on the terrace. The food was excellent and the service even better. The views from Spianata are breathtaking. Highly recommended.

07/10/2025: We visited Ristoro di Paolone and immediately felt at home. It's a family-friendly, welcoming, and warm atmosphere, one of those rare places where you can truly feel the heart and soul of the people who work there. We ate wonderfully: homemade dishes and exceptional pizzas, light, tasty, and made with quality ingredients. You can tell there's passion and love for what they do. A place that makes you feel good, where you don't just go to eat, but to feel welcomed. Highly recommended, we'll be back soon!

11/11/2025: Great location with lovely views - especially from the room’s balcony. However, in general the hotel is very tired and in need of renovation. The facilities in the room were quite poor, very old shower, not even a kettle. The food was also average at best. A steep walk down to town (and back up !) and no shuttle offered, except on arrival and departure. No help with baggage to the room either (and no lift). All in all, a disappointing stay.

15/09/2025: A lovely hotel to stay in for a few days during your holiday on the Italian coast. Try to get a room with a balcony. The view of the bay and the hill is fantastic!

09/12/2025: At midday we happened to be passing by and the host brought us the menu without letting us know that there was the possibility of a work menu being offered at tables near us (we were there for work). In my opinion, he wasn't fair enough not to let us know that both menus were available.

16/09/2025: A restaurant in the hinterland of La Spezia, not difficult to reach by car, but challenging to drive. The location is beautiful, especially at sunset. There are a lot of steps to climb to the restaurant. Excellent food, traditional and well-prepared dishes. Reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit! Reservations recommended. Parking is difficult nearby.

03/09/2025: One of my favorite places around La Spezia: the location is beautiful, right by the sea... and besides being a beautiful place, the food is also great! I've been there for both lunch and an aperitif, and I highly recommend it! Congratulations!

13/11/2025: We chose Piro to celebrate our daughter's Confirmation, and from the first phone call, we were impressed by their extreme kindness and willingness to accommodate our tastes. The dishes were delicious, with excellent ingredients and light, crispy fried food. All our guests were delighted. They've improved since the previous management.

30/10/2025: Struppa area in Genoa. Fantastic! I went to this lovely, rustic-style restaurant on Saturday, October 25th for a baptism. I had a wonderful meal. I tried both the meat and fish menus, but I'd recommend the fish menu (the fried fish was excellent). The food was plentiful, hot, and both visually and tasted delicious! A typical Genoese restaurant with friendly, helpful, and efficient staff. Highly recommended!

22/08/2025: One of the best burgers I've ever eaten, quality ingredients from the bun to the meat, to the various extras. The fries are excellent. Since it takes a while, I'd just bring the beers with the food. Well done.

09/11/2025: A wonderful discovery in Ventimiglia! Ristorante La Caravella offers authentic and generous Italian cuisine, using fresh ingredients and perfectly executed recipes. The pasta is homemade, the fish cooked to perfection, and the desserts made on-site. Attentive service, a friendly atmosphere, and very reasonable prices for the quality. An excellent local spot that we always return to with pleasure!

27/11/2025: I'm in love with Imperia. Like every year, almost like a ritual, I have to go to Lanterna Blu to relive the same experience that has been with me since I was a child. La Lanterna Blu isn't just a restaurant; it's the symbol of this beautiful province. It's a magical place characterized by an elegant, distinguished, clean, and comfortable setting. Max makes you feel right at home, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. But let's move on to the dishes. What can I say? They're in keeping with the location and could sum it all up in one word: "Quality." The catch of the day I ate was sublime; the ingredients were fresh and served with care and elegance, the attention to the customer and their needs was attentive, and the wine list was vast. All these qualities should be taken for granted, but unfortunately, these days they're not easy to find in the restaurant world. In short, maybe it's just me who has a soft spot for this place, but it's definitely a place worth visiting if you're in the area. See you soon, Max.
