17/09/2025: The ice cream is okay, but the prices are steep. A classic tourist trap right on the harbor. So, not surprising. The restrooms aren't great either.

03/10/2025: Signora Gianna cooks fabulously. We arrived late but were greeted like royalty. The menu is all homemade, all local, by the lovely Gianna (90 years old!!). US Cigolese will definitely be back: if you're passing through, come here. Even if you're not passing through. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back; the specialties she cooks are truly inviting.

10/11/2025: We had breakfast on the terrace overlooking the beach. Good coffee, but the croissants and pain au chocolat were very average. Inexpensive.

09/11/2025: Horrible! First time we haven't checked the ratings, and we should have done so before! We waited over an hour without receiving any consideration from the staff, only to receive our main course before we even had our aperitif. We refused the plates and left. It's a complete mess here, and they're huge plates with nothing on them. We absolutely do not recommend it.

23/10/2025: The owner just doesn't know how to deal with customers. Unlike the team, who are very nice and courteous. Take it easy.

22/10/2025: Great place on the marina to have a coffee and people watch! Staff were really nice, and coffee was absolutely fantastic. Really relaxing, chilled and friendly atmosphere.

10/11/2025: For some reason, we were the only ones served drinks in plastic cups instead of glasses.

08/11/2025: The pizzas are delicious, as are the prawns ☺️, and at very affordable prices.

02/09/2025: We visited this restaurant in August at the recommendation of a friend, a regular. The experience was extremely disappointing. The food was poor; when we asked about the type of fish available, the owner replied that we should have made a reservation or communicated our desire to eat fish (perhaps forgetting we were at the seaside). The only positive note: the chef was very friendly, unlike the owner, who I suggest undergoing "sympathy therapy."

17/08/2025: Very disappointing, odious service, and the old woman serving us allowed herself to talk over us, thinking we didn't understand just because we dared to ask for tomato pasta for our daughter! Afterward, their credit card didn't work when it came time to pay, and we were asked why we left without cash... The food was also nothing exceptional, and the quantities were very small compared to the price. There are much better options nearby, I can assure you. In short, a bad experience; I really don't recommend it!

06/09/2025: A rather unique campsite, I'd say a bit hippie-esque. Minus points are the train tracks right next to the campsites and the bathrooms, straight out of Harry Potter.

08/08/2025: FIRST OF ALL: You simply can't compare German standards here with those there. This is an older, simple campsite where the focus is on spending the night and occasionally swimming; it wouldn't have been suitable for us for longer stays in a camper/tent. There are a lot of Italians there at the moment, as they also vacation there from the mainland, depending on the season. We stayed here for 3 nights, and I have to praise the campsite. Communication via WhatsApp was problem-free, and the staff was very friendly! There are plenty of trash containers, and electricity and WiFi are available at the bar. We got a tent spot in the front row, right on the beach. The price is relatively normal by German standards. The bar there is fantastic; a very nice gentleman there, and very good coffee no matter when you feel like it. I think it's ideal for spending the night, occasionally jumping into the sea, and walking into town. The main sanitary facilities are old Italian and not in great condition, but you can use the much newer, better sanitary facilities on the property opposite by the mobile homes as this belongs to the campsite, so everything was fine for us as far as that was concerned.

03/08/2025: Nella zona di Prato della Valle abbondano ovviamente i ristoranti turistici. Questa trattoria, invece, in una laterale della piazza, ma un poco nascosta, riesce a conservare ancora un suo stile. La cucina è buona e propone primi e secondi che variano ogni giorni a un prezzo medio.Assaggiati degli ottimi tagliolini alla bottarga e uno squisito dolce con crema e pinoli. L'ambiente non è troppo grande e il servizio cortese, anche se non eccessivamente veloce. E' aperto la domenica, una rarità.

01/07/2025: On June 30th my sister turned 18 we paid the DJ to be there at 7:30 pm so that my sister could enter at 8:00 pm, the DJ arrived at 7:59 pm (that's what the 2 owners say, even if it seemed to us that he arrived after 8:00 pm, but I think that's the least of it) we also paid for a varied menu among the main courses there were 3 pizzas with sausages, one with ham and mushrooms and one with spicy salami (these 4 were paid for separately) they didn't bring them to us. After the party we went to tell them and they denied everything saying that we had never told them about these 4 pizzas. The spritz was watered down, the snacks were a single block. Returning to the DJ topic, my sister sent a playlist via WhatsApp with various songs, of which she only put 4, then she chose the others entirely herself. The cake was supposed to be chantilly cream with gold details and instead it was with red roses, we brought some edible glitter to put all in the center of the cake so that when she blew out the candles they wanted them and instead they put them randomly all over the cake. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE

10/08/2025: A beautiful place, but unfortunately, given the "standing" it aims to maintain, it falls short in some respects, specifically in the following areas: - Tables in the gazebos with rust spots - Side curtains on the gazebo partially missing. - Dirty/stained sun lounger mattress (we asked for it to be replaced, and it was promptly replaced with apologies for the inconvenience). - Bathroom hygiene needs updating (lack of toilet paper in the women's bathroom and cleanliness needs improving). In my opinion, the price paid doesn't match what's offered. Considering that the price for 5 hours (from 2 pm to 7 pm) is €137, I would have expected greater quality and attention to service. It wouldn't take much, especially considering the number of gazebos (28), to make this beach truly the "gem" and most exclusive beach in Santa Margherita, as advertised. I'd also like to point out that we purchased a thermal water bottle. It's very nice looking, with the bathroom logo on it, but it doesn't keep the water cold at all, even though it was guaranteed to work properly at the time of purchase. (Please avoid making any comments without first having verified your claims, to avoid disappointment.) Regarding the restaurant, since we didn't eat there, I can't express any opinion, but having read the dishes offered and given the location, I feel compelled to give a positive assessment. Another positive note was the receptionist, who demonstrated courtesy and professionalism. P.S.: I've changed my rating from 3 to 1 star because I'd like to point out that after just 7 days, the thermal water bottle has rust spots on both the cap and the inside (as shown in the photo). This is absurd; it's unsafe to use, as you risk drinking rust. Any feedback is appreciated.

01/08/2025: This year, like last year, we chose this beach resort for its proximity to home and the gazebos, but we discovered at the start of the season that the management had changed. We immediately had problems with bookings: we therefore decided to start with a week, from Monday, June 30th to Sunday, and this already created problems because the weekly stay, for which we had been asked to pay €1,250 in advance, could not be made due to the different rates between the months of June and July. Therefore, we immediately paid €1,400 for the Monday of June and the week from Tuesday to the following Monday (July). Unfortunately, due to force majeure (bad weather), we lost three days of the booked period, so my husband asked the manager if we could make up the days on other days. He was told that we could only make up two, and although we didn't fully agree, we accepted (at €200 per day). When we rebooked for the two-day make-up session, we were told we were only booking one day, not two. At that point, we replied that we wouldn't be willing to negotiate like in a Marrakech souk, and that in a €200-a-day establishment, customers deserve a service that's proportionate and worthy of the price they pay. Bottom line: three paid days wasted and service subpar due to incompetence and a lack of professionalism, but above all, lost customers.

14/09/2025: Simple and welcoming place, quality food, and friendly staff. The prices are also fair.

17/08/2025: Not a very positive experience. I ordered pasta with clams, mussels, and shrimp, and the fish had zero flavor (seeing other reviews, it's happened to other customers as well). The owner was rude and, judging by her attitude, seemed annoyed. The mussels and clams weren't very clean—there was some sand in them—but they were still edible. That evening, looking back at the bill, something didn't add up. In fact, when I calculated the amount we'd consumed, the total was wrong... she'd overcharged us! A place with untapped potential and a friendly atmosphere that needs revisiting.

10/10/2025: Dinner with friends from San Terenzo Appetizer, first course, and second course: all very good, service as always fast. I especially enjoyed the stuffed mussels from the appetizer and the paccheri with mussels. Welcoming staff; I recommend it.

29/09/2025: September 28, 2025. I dined here with colleagues during a business trip. The restaurant is very elegant and the location is charming. The menu is rather simple, but the dishes are well-prepared and the ingredients are top-quality. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars because I think the price of some dishes is excessive for the quantity, such as the creamed cod I ordered as an appetizer. I highly recommend this place if you want to make a good impression.

15/10/2025: A collapse in quality and service with the new management... not to mention the cleanliness which used to be impeccable but is now very questionable... ethnic music managed by Indian-Pakistani staff or something similar... as is the table service. It was a beautiful place and should be avoided at all costs today.

21/09/2025: We wanted to grab a coffee and sit for a few minutes overlooking the sea. Terrible service, the focaccia ran out at 9:30, and a coffee costs 2.50, and it's not even good. There are better places.

06/07/2025: Very rude manager to an elderly lady who simply asked to replace a piece of sardenara with edges with one without edges from a new pan even though she had already paid for it he refused to replace it saying that the rule of his warehouse rather than shop requires to finish the old pan first before starting the new one now so you do not satisfy the wish of a poor elderly lady for this stupidity of yours and not only was she made fun of by saying that she had no more sardenara and as soon as the lady left he ran to the back of his phantom warehouse to get the new pan of sardenara and when she returned to ask to buy another piece he, the great rude and great rude person that he is, said I don't serve you in this shop anymore go away. Now these are the shopkeepers we should help in times of crisis but if he closed the business and went to work as a dishwasher he would be doing a huge favor 🙏 to the community. Aside from the fact that by law no shopkeeper can refuse to serve paying customers, I'm limiting myself to this review to avoid reporting what happened.

24/03/2025: Non mi ha accettato un pagamento con il bancomat per un importo di 8,50 euro! .. sono dovuto uscire e prelevare e tornare per saldare, inaccettabile!!! Esistono metodi di pagamento a commissioni zero sotto i 10 euro, informatevi! La mia scelta di usare il bancomat è legittima, e sancita da una legge di 10 anni fa. Non tornerò e dirò a chi conosco di fare lo stesso.
