09/05/2026: We arrived at the same time as another couple. We waited half an hour for someone to take our order, but no one came. When we left, we saw that the people who had arrived at the same time as us were being served (appetizers and pizzas). We had specifically made a reservation to ensure we were served.

16/04/2026: Very nice place. That's about it. Service is very slow. There's a lot of pasta, but it's the cheapest kind, and the sauces are also clearly cheaply made. They're just trying to feed lots of tourists on the cheap. Better to go further inland to restaurants with homemade food. Even the two other restaurants nearby are significantly better. Update from yesterday: if someone doesn't want to eat, they put an empty plate next to them and demand the cover charge. I've never experienced such rudeness. I won't be trying again!

19/05/2026: My wife and I visited this place for an aperitivo. The menu features both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. They use their own recipes for certain drinks and classic recipes for others. The selection is good. They also offer classic aperitivo snacks or more elaborate dishes, such as cheese, cured meat, or fried platters. The staff is courteous and friendly. Prices are average.

12/07/2026: My husband and I stopped by last night and since they don't take reservations we asked for a table for two... empty tables for 4 that they wanted to share and they told us there was no room for us... never seen anything like it... we won't be back again

11/07/2026: I'll start by saying that I'm not used to writing negative reviews..... But for this place I'll make an exception. Rude, unpleasant and arrogant people. We passed by in person the afternoon of the day before to book a dinner for 9.... But they told us that they don't accept reservations and to show up; so we did, and arrived around 9pm... Being Friday evening there were many empty tables, but the owner told us that there was no room for 9; we reiterated that we could also split up, with the children (3) at another table.... But the owner, arrogantly, reiterated that there was no room for us. After a quick argument we left and went to another restaurant that welcomed us with courtesy and kindness. But that will be another review. Moral of the story.... Never again at Streghe, not even if it were the only restaurant available in Borghetto.

30/06/2026: Open for many years, very close to both the train station and the city center. Spacious restaurant, busy with tourists in the summer. The menu is mostly seafood and Ligurian dishes, but there are also a few meat dishes—nothing exceptional, and the desserts are decent. Not suitable for allergy sufferers or celiacs. The service is a bit basic, the staff aren't always friendly and helpful (just read their responses to reviews, a little tact wouldn't hurt). A couple of times, they even seemed a little annoyed by card payments...you get the idea. Prices are average for Ventimiglia in summer, and the quality/price ratio isn't great. Let's just say there are some excellent, top-notch seafood restaurants in the area; you'll find them here when passing through or when the others are closed.

18/11/2025: Botteghin is a place you'll always want to return to! Not only because it's open late and the atmosphere is truly pleasant (soft lighting and bottles everywhere), but also because the food is truly delicious! The cured meats, unique in their kind, are truly excellent, as are the cheeses! The focaccias in various flavors are delicious, and so are the desserts! I recommend the platter: for €18, you get a large plate of excellent cured meats, two varieties of cheese, and two pieces of vegetable tart, all accompanied by focaccia! The wine cellar is very well-stocked. Since 2025, they've been stocking a selection of French cheeses, which, paired with fruit compotes, are unmissable. Botteghin is also the only place in the area that stays open late, so you'll find it open even if you get hungry late at night! I recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, as seating is limited!

26/04/2026: WORST PIZZA OF MY LIFE One star because it's the only thing that can be given less. It's abysmal pizza: thinner than a cracker, tasteless, dry, with no toppings, and terrible quality ingredients. We felt sick after eating it. I don't understand how it has such good reviews. It's inedible! 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 Buy it frozen, it's much better and you'll save money.
