13/01/2026: We came on New Year's Day and spent it in this very nice and welcoming place. The staff was extremely friendly and always available.

25/12/2025: On Christmas Day, we had lunch at this restaurant like every year. We waited almost two hours for our appetizer when the restaurant owner, Mr. Massimo, served us. We complained about the wait, but instead of apologizing, he told us that next year you can do it somewhere else! He's truly rude, so we definitely won't be setting foot there again! Absolutely not recommended.

12/10/2025: Cheese focaccia made to order. It takes a wait, but it's always worth it.

02/09/2025: Focacceria offering a wide selection of traditional Ligurian sweet and savory delicacies. The classic Ligurian focaccia is delicious. The woman at the counter is very friendly, and the prices are fair.

30/12/2025: Always the best at Alassio. Great atmosphere with live music during aperitifs on the beach and later on their terrace.

15/12/2025: Not only was the plate filled with shoddy ingredients... but they should ask the customer... since it's a paid and expensive item... whether they want to take it or not. A medium beer...two glasses...24 euros Merry Christmas.

08/03/2026: I'm writing this review from the toilet, where I've been sitting since 4:00 a.m., after a dinner that was expensive in every sense of the word. The place is cold. The bill is steep (three dishes, two puddings, a glass of wine, and a coffee cost more than seventy euros...). The staff is courteous, but if I may offer one piece of advice, look for other options.

18/01/2026: I usually write reviews with great respect for the work of others, but unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant in the days immediately preceding Epiphany did not live up to expectations. The restaurant, despite being heated, was extremely cold: we had to wear jackets to our meals, an uncomfortable situation for those who want to enjoy a quiet lunch. The service, despite the staff's great kindness and courtesy—the only truly positive aspect of the day—was very slow. The restaurant was not crowded, yet the wait was excessively long. As for the cuisine, we were not convinced by the quality of the dishes: the food seemed pre-cooked, and the pasta, in particular, arrived decidedly overcooked. Even the wine served suggested it had been open for a while, with a vinegary flavor, a detail that further detracted from the overall experience. I hope this report can serve as a constructive starting point for improvement, because the kindness of the staff deserves to be matched by excellent service and food.

22/02/2026: I had a plate of fried calamari and chips, but there were 4 or 5 fried calamari. Basically, I paid €15 for a plate of chips.

08/02/2026: I didn't have a particularly positive experience at this pizzeria, where I returned after many years. The place was neglected, the pizza was undercooked, and the service was a bit unprepared.

20/12/2025: A very simple atmosphere, but the pizza and farinata are good, and the desserts are excellent. The hostess is very kind and friendly, and the quality/price ratio is excellent.

24/10/2025: Excellent seafood and tasy fresh pasta, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.

11/10/2025: Only frozen fish, no Ligurian dishes (the panissa is inedible), supermarket vegetables, amateurish table service (dishes are brought not in front of customers but behind them), and the price is unjustifiable given the beautiful view. One last note: if something has run out of menu items (at 1 p.m.), customers should be informed before or at the same time as the menu is delivered.

30/10/2025: Excellent location on the city's main pedestrian street. A welcoming and charming atmosphere with very kind and attentive staff! I will definitely be back.

19/10/2025: I went there today for lunch to commemorate my sister's birthday. As I told the staff, I have a very severe celiac disease. After several other things, they served me a salad with ham, which was also contaminated, and I felt terrible afterwards. Terrible. It's best to avoid it and say you're not prepared to serve someone with celiac disease.

06/09/2025: Aperitif on the terrace. Cocktails are well-prepared according to the IBA guidelines, avoiding the bizarre inventions increasingly found in Pietra, where people try to innovate without having the necessary expertise...

22/09/2025: We received a warm welcome. They immediately helped me secure my bike downstairs. Good first impression. I ordered poke with salmon, tuna, and feta. I received a plate of dry rice (not sushi rice) without salmon, tuna, or feta. When I asked why, I was given a strange explanation. Very disappointing. In the end, I had to lug my own bike upstairs; the courtesy was gone...

21/09/2025: A measly one-star restaurant, with a menu displayed on the waterfront.... We booked a dinner menu, but had to order pizza! The kitchen was "sold out," with no food!!! They should have just let us know when we booked. Disrespectful!!!

From the moment we arrived, the service was incredible: we were served directly by the owner, who took the time to share wonderful stories that give the place a unique and authentic touch. The food was delicious, with well-balanced flavors and dishes that are truly enjoyable from beginning to end. The attention to detail is evident. Furthermore, the ambiance is spectacular, perfect for relaxing and having a good time, whether with a partner or friends. It's one of those places that feels special and different, where you not only eat well, but also create a memorable experience. Without a doubt, highly recommended if you're looking for good food, attentive service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger.

31/03/2026: UPDATE MARCH 2026 This year, breakfast was very uninspired: during our visit, there was no natural yogurt, and scrambled eggs weren't available until 8:30 a.m. APRIL 2025 Breakfast offered croissants (sometimes chocolate croissants), scrambled eggs (very good), fresh orange juice, and green tea, among other things. Some things take some getting used to, for example, when there's only fruit yogurt with the muesli and no plain yogurt. Delicious latte macchiato—sometimes you get a café latte instead (without milk foam), and sometimes the service is a bit sleepy.

02/07/2025: Truly enchanting bar in the heart of Genoa! Atmosphere with attention to detail, welcoming environment and very kind staff. Excellent both for a quiet breakfast and for an aperitif with friends. Excellent coffee, and carefully prepared cocktails. Welcoming and familiar atmosphere. A point of reference in the center, I will definitely return!

02/07/2025: Not a daily customer but every time I come downtown… lunchtime we always eat sandwiches or rolls that I always order at the counter because I can choose by saying that I'll sit down. Together with a juice and a mineral water. Waiting time for drinks 5 min. I got up and before I could speak I was "run over": can't you see how many people there are? And then he ordered at the counter to skip the queue. And raising his voice more and more as we tried to answer: and then for two sandwiches! They will be the last ones

06/04/2026: I'd say the aperitivo is plentiful, so you can easily dine on one of their platters. The drinks are very good and well-prepared. The location is perfect for tourists and locals alike, and perfect for birthday parties and more.
