27/08/2025: We went there a while ago for a spritz, watered down and with four pieces of crap to eat, incredibly expensive, and they don't even offer table service. Two days ago, my husband and I had coffee and a croissant, prices you wouldn't even pay at a service station, but the most absurd thing was that there were three of them behind the counter, only serving us, and they didn't take us into consideration. They were chatting and laughing among themselves as if we were transparent. I work as an employee myself, and I would never allow myself to be treated like that. Not recommended.

13/09/2025: A very distinctive venue in an equally unique location. It's long been reminiscent of an 18th-century post office. A delightful experience. The staff are friendly and polite. Recommended.
05/09/2025: Not recommended for a business lunch, too expensive. I was traveling to Calizzano for work and stopped at this osteria for lunch. It's not an osteria, it has the prices of a Michelin-starred restaurant, but it's not. You should do the classic business menu.

15/07/2025: Hostaria Besugo – un ristorante e pizzeria fantastico! Dovete assolutamente provare la pizza “La Mia Bambina”: burrata cremosa e acciughe del Cantabrico di altissima qualità. Croccante, leggera e semplicemente deliziosa! Anche la pizza senza glutine è eccezionale – gustosissima, con una base super morbida. Imperdibili le cozze alla Piscia all’Andrea: una salsa al pomodoro talmente buona che va mangiata con il cucchiaio! Grazie!
12/07/2025: Cibo buono. Peccato il servizio e il personale che dopo vari solleciti per un piatto di pasta non arrivato una cameriera ha avuto un atteggiamento sgarbato nei confronti di un mio amico, abbiamo aspettato 30 minuti per prendere le ordinazioni

The owner was rude and impolite. The bathrooms smelled like public ones, and in 2025 they don't accept credit cards! Oh... all without a receipt!!!! On a positive note, the waitress was kind.

07/09/2025: 2025: Unfortunately, management changed about a year ago, and the dishes that made this place special were eliminated to make way for a canteen-style service, perhaps suitable for those stopping by for a break from work, but definitely not suitable for a place that calls itself an osteria. 2023: Excellent pizza made with top-quality ingredients. Delicious homemade tiramisu!! Friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful and very quaint atmosphere.

The food isn't good: three hours later, I'm still sick of what I ate. It's a classic tourist trap, and we fell for it. I highly recommend it.

20/08/2025: Pizzeria Fuori Campo is a charming place surrounded by greenery, perfect for spending a quiet evening, especially in the company of the family. The outdoor space is large and well-kept, with a playground that allows children to have fun safely while their parents relax. A truly special detail is the presence of the "freedom rabbits", who live freely in the outdoor area: an adorable attraction for the little ones, who can observe them up close and, delicately, even pet them. The pizza is truly excellent, prepared with light dough and fresh ingredients. The menu is varied and suitable for all tastes. The staff is kind and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and serene. A unique place, where good food and nature meet. Highly recommended!

18/09/2025: Genoa is the pesto capital, so you expect quality. Here, however, it was one of the worst pestos I've ever tried: too salty. €13 for this dish is a steal; it was worth €8–9 at most. I also had the meat: ordinary, nothing special. For €16, you expect something remarkable, but it was a €10 dish. The salad was already wilted, the bread dry and flavorless, like stale bread. The fries definitely tasted like fried calamari—clearly fried in the same oil—disgusting. I didn't eat them, but they charged me anyway. The service was terrible. The total bill: €53. For what? A meal worse than one at a service station. At least the food is better on the highway. Conclusion: The "cook" is incompetent; anyone can cook better at home. If he thinks he's a chef, he should stop immediately. Answer: Next time, instead of completely denying the poor quality of your restaurant and service, simply change the oil and stop frying fries in the same oil as calamari. The restaurant is awful, the staff is awful, the atmosphere is awful, and the food is simply salty, greasy, and carelessly made. If the pesto is too salty, then the pesto is too salty—it's as simple as that. Since you're in Genoa, at least learn how to make proper pesto; that's the least you can do. If you can't accept criticism and acknowledge that the food is subpar, that's your problem. You can deny it all you want, but the facts don't change, and if need be, I'll continue writing reviews every day. You talk to me about politeness, I'll talk to you about the deplorable quality of your food: get over it, I don't care if you don't have the courage to face the reality of your job. If this is cooking and running a restaurant for you, then clearly we don't have the same standards—and it shouldn't even exist. If the food is rubbish, I won't eat it. That's my standard. Opening a restaurant and not knowing how to make pesto means you should probably look for another job. The same goes for chips that taste like fried squid: it's an absolute disgrace.
