14/08/2026: We went for breakfast and a snack: spectacular views overlooking the sea near the little church of Sant'Ampelio. Generous brioches filled with Nutella and jam, friendly and attentive service with glasses of water to accompany cappuccinos and biscuits, clean bathrooms: nothing better to start a beautiful day in Bordighera. The violet ice cream is unique.

13/08/2026: Very bad experience at La Réserve in Bordighera. We came today as 6 people, with a 4-year-old daughter, and frankly, the reception was really bad. We waited about 15 minutes at the entrance, in full heat, without anyone coming to see us. However, several servers and managers walked past us several times, without saying hello, without looking at us and without even asking us what we wanted. We clearly felt like we were being ignored. After 15 minutes of waiting, we had to go and ask ourselves if we could have a table. We were simply told: “No, it is not possible. » No apology for the wait, no explanation, nothing. We can completely understand that a restaurant is full or that there is no room for 6 people. But letting customers wait 15 minutes without even saying hello, especially with a 4-year-old child in the heat, is not normal. It was enough to simply come to see us from the start and tell us that there was no room. It would have taken 30 seconds. We found the reception very cold, very rude and not at all professional. We therefore left very disappointed and with a very bad image of this restaurant. We will not be returning and we clearly do not recommend it. ⸻ Bad experience at La Riserva di Bordighera. 12/07/2026: We were chased away in an extremely rude manner by the waiter because he was only interested in getting us a few coffees. Unfortunately, polite manners and kindness are words that are not known in this place.

10/07/2026: After traveling all that way to eat at this restaurant, we arrived at 8:09 PM on July 9th and were refused entry. Not very friendly.

06/01/2026: I often go to this historic venue for aperitivo. They serve both hot and cold dishes in good quantities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There's also an outdoor seating area, but in winter it's a bit drafty.

13/01/2026: We came on New Year's Day and spent it in this very nice and welcoming place. The staff was extremely friendly and always available.

25/12/2025: On Christmas Day, we had lunch at this restaurant like every year. We waited almost two hours for our appetizer when the restaurant owner, Mr. Massimo, served us. We complained about the wait, but instead of apologizing, he told us that next year you can do it somewhere else! He's truly rude, so we definitely won't be setting foot there again! Absolutely not recommended.

30/07/2026: €6 for a beer is way too expensive for a bar :( We actually went there for food, but unfortunately there wasn't any. The locals had some focaccia, but we only got chips. The price-performance ratio isn't right. What a shame.

07/06/2026: As usual, we stumbled upon it by chance. A small, yet charming square, opposite a UNESCO World Heritage site. The staff are friendly and attentive, the service is excellent, and the food is good value.

11/03/2026: Very nice and welcoming place, but the cashier accused me of smoking the previous time when I hadn't, insisting as if I was in the wrong and without even apologizing, making me feel uncomfortable. I say, if you want to accuse me, at least go look at the cameras to confirm... otherwise, a good place, I recommend it.

28/12/2025: Well located for an overnight stay. The rooms are very rustic and poorly insulated, and with faulty heating, it's a bit tough on a winter night. The service is lovely. It's a bit pricey for what you get.

19/11/2025: short walk from train station. hint, walk left around station outside for crosswalks and stay on left side of street. secure entrance with reception. motion lights in hallway turns off too quickly which makes inserting room key challenging. older building with some modern renovations. in room fridge and kettle. free wifi. this was our precruise hotel. looks like short walk to terminal.

12/08/2026: This McDonald's is such a dump it's hard to describe. No air conditioning in August, everything is terribly dirty, the kids' area is full of pigeon poop, and cigarettes are thrown on the floor in front of the slide, we threw away the uneatable fries. Five years ago I wrote a wonderful review, but over the years this place has gotten so bad it should be closed down.

11/08/2026: The only McDonald's in the world, visited in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and the USA, that doesn't have air conditioning when it's 39 degrees outside. How can you eat in these conditions?

13/07/2026: My first experience at this self-service restaurant, located inside the shopping center. I had a delicious plate of trofie with pesto, followed by excellent barbecue chicken with baked potatoes. The quality of the ingredients is good, and they're also recommended for vegetarians. I'll definitely be back to try their giant pizza.

11/07/2026: I had lunch at the Dolce Salato self-service restaurant at the Coop in Albenga and was truly pleasantly surprised. The food: The dishes are exceptionally good, fresh, and well-prepared. There's a nice variety, allowing you to grab a quick lunch without sacrificing quality and flavor. Excellent value. The staff is courteous, smiling, and helpful—an important detail that creates a welcoming atmosphere and makes you want to return. Highly recommended for a quick, tasty lunch break.

29/06/2026: We booked inside after two phone calls to confirm there was air conditioning (which was found broken)!!! It was infernally hot, then we were immediately served prosecco without an ice bucket, and the food still hadn't arrived. So we drank it hot!!! The rostelle finally arrived... wrong because we specified liver and the others arrived.... the price means we ended up paying for the ones we returned because there wasn't even a receipt!! My fault for not asking!!
