03/02/2026: The quality and freshness of the fish is excellent...it's worth queuing for... I recommend the numbered tickets, like at the post office. Jokes aside, I highly recommend it. The price is also super affordable.

01/02/2026: The restaurant appears OPEN on Google Maps, but in reality it's CLOSED. Updating basic information seems too complicated for you. We planned part of our trip specifically to come here, wasted time and energy, and found ourselves faced with closed doors, without any warning. A total lack of respect for customers. If a restaurant closes, the minimum you can do is update Google Maps. It only takes a few minutes. Your negligence has ruined part of our trip. Absolutely not recommended. Zero reliability.

11/08/2025: First time in Borgio as a family with our 1-year-old daughter. We booked two lounge chairs and one umbrella at this beach resort for the end of July and had a wonderful time. The owners were incredibly kind. The atmosphere was completely relaxing and welcoming. The only downside to our vacation was the bad weather! We'll definitely be back next year. The restaurant owners were also delicious. Well done! 👏

The service is fast and quality, and the view from the restaurant is priceless. The staff is friendly and professional, and the owner is super nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

04/02/2026: After much deliberation, due to the numerous bad reviews, I finally gave this place the benefit of the doubt. Indeed, the much-discussed old man is sitting proudly at the entrance, watching television. And yes, he does throw the cutlery on the table. No offense intended; he's seen it all before, and this is just his way of doing things. Inside, someone is eating just a plate of fries, another still has his coat and hat on, and yet another's dog is lying on the couch. If this isn't your style, then stay away. I, for one, feel right at home. This is an Italian restaurant as it should be. Genuine, pure, original, no frills, no fancy stuff. A waiter arrives after me, half an hour late. Another half hour later, another waiter. Half an hour later, a new person gives me a sweet snack. Meanwhile, the old man has refilled my wine. The staff are kind, friendly, and helpful. The food is delicious, fresh, simple, and affordable. The kitchen is working at top speed. This is quality, honest food, and a cozy atmosphere with real Italians. Appreciate these kinds of places; they're a dying breed. Highly recommended by Hollandstadt.

21/02/2026: A wonderful lunch, friendly staff, and a priceless view, but not good. We chose this restaurant called "seafood," but the fish was scarce, subpar due to the presence of some frozen ingredients on the menu and clearly industrially prepared. I'm referring in particular to the stuffed anchovies, frozen, all the same and with an indigestible breading. In addition to the anchovies, we ordered two first courses called "Mediterranean-style." They were tagliatelle described as having mussels, scampi, and calamari. They were very helpful in substituting the tagliatelle for trofie, but the result was similar to plain pasta with very little fish unrelated to the sauce. From the open kitchen, while we were paying the bill, which was not commensurate with the product consumed, we unfortunately saw the chef throwing tomato sauce from a bottle into a pan with some pasta or similar: essentially no sauce prepared with genuine ingredients and perhaps a lack of skill on the part of the chef. I recommend adding a small sample of local focaccia to the cover bread, if not replacing it entirely: this would add quality and authenticity to a restaurant that could offer so much more.

27/12/2025: Overall the food is very good with fresh fish but the problem that made me give 4 stars instead of 5 is that for 5 people we paid a lot but that's normal yes you could see that the environment and the place from the outside was very expensive but we ate well and the service is very friendly

05/12/2025: First and foremost, the wonderful staff deserves a mention. Everyone was attentive to the guests' well-being and very friendly. We stayed in a newly renovated room, which, while not very large, was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was wonderful, and the bathroom was also very nice. The hotel restaurant offers excellent food, and the breakfast buffet is very appealing and well-stocked, even in the off-season. We would definitely choose this hotel again in Chiavari.

29/11/2025: A good 4-star hotel, with spacious rooms, excellent cleanliness, and a good breakfast. It has a covered, secure garage (reservation recommended). The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the rest of the staff. Centrally located (near the pedestrian shopping street) yet in a quiet area.

17/02/2026: We went to this restaurant for Valentine's Day. The service was mediocre; my dish was brought to me first, and I had to wait for my partner's before we could eat together. That said, when hers finally arrived, mine was cold. I find it unprofessional to bring out the dishes 10 minutes apart. Similarly, the wine wasn't even offered; they didn't ask what we wanted, even though we mentioned at the beginning that we were considering our choice. The rostellas were frozen. We wanted the large ones, but to my surprise, for a Saturday night, they were out. The mixed grill was nothing special. I didn't find the meat particularly flavorful, so I wonder if it was frozen.

13/01/2026: I confirm my negative opinion. I tried it a second time, but unfortunately I confirm... The cold cuts for the panigacci had a unique flavor...they served us salami mixed with stracchino (yellow), which tasted just like coppa or prosciutto. The prosciutto was pink like the cooked one and so salty that seawater is nothing compared to it, not to mention the pizza. I'll just say that the cold cuts and pickles at Euro Spin are better.

18/12/2025: I was hesitant the first time... I had to change my mind. The staff and the owner (or at least I think he is) are efficient, friendly, and welcoming. Good value for money, even on the set menu, where the portions are, in my opinion, just right in terms of both quantity and flavor (whereas in many other places, the set menu costs little but you eat little and it's not even tasty). The pizza is also very good. When I'm in La Spezia, I always stop there... don't change a winning team! 😉
