07/09/2025: Excellent menu. Delicious food. Unfortunately, the place is old and run-down. It needs a complete overhaul. Purple curtains separating the rooms and plastic windows make the atmosphere truly questionable. The service also leaves much to be desired. Kudos to the price, however.

03/09/2025: We went for lunch on August 15th. I enjoyed the appetizer and sorbet. The gnocchi in scampi cream and mixed fried fish were nothing like the ones served on other days, which were better and cheaper.

04/08/2025: This wine bar is something special. Time stands still here, and you'll lose yourself in it :) It's not for a quick visit, as the selection is very extensive and the wines are very good. The food is also excellent. The service is friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about wine. Overall, the bar is always worth a visit.

28/07/2025: Lovely and comfortable place in Trastever, far from all the tourist places full a people queuing for a normal dish of pasta or pizza. This place is original, familiar and the couple managing it are so nice and give you all the recomendations needed for having a good experience. Many wines or cocktails to choose. 31/08/2025: The portions were really small, the prices were moderately high, and the service and wait times were very long. I had the lamb shoulder (very small and very fatty) and the appetizers (I tried everything except the brains and panzanella).

30/08/2025: A treat in the Ostiense neighborhood, I'm out of words to describe the wonderful culinary experiences you can have at this trattoria, which just underwent a makeover this year. The atmosphere is very family-friendly, the staff are polite and professional—in short, a perfect example of an osteria of this caliber. About two years ago, I had my first experience here at Pennestri, with their typically old-school Roman dishes—I'm talking about gricia—and I was already impressed by the balance of flavors and the overall quality of the ingredients. Their offerings, in my humble opinion, are very interesting. The dishes aren't overly elaborate, almost home-cooked, but at the same time they have their own character and personality. Looking at the menu, I can tell that this trattoria doesn't shy away from serving only traditional Roman dishes, but rather takes a tour of Italy. Among the appetizers, you'll find caponata, as well as pasta shapes like pici, which originate from central Italy. Today I opted for tradition, at least for the first course. I chose maltagliati with chicken giblets and pecorino cheese, and a tart with onions and robiola. The first course was spectacularly flavorful, with well-spiced egg pasta, perfectly blended, smooth and not thick—just how I like it. I appreciated the fact that the giblets were cut like giblets, the classic small pieces. And I'll go further, since I also had excellent warm bread, I even had to mop it up. The appetizer was good, with onions providing a sweetish note that contrasted with the goat's cheese flavor of the robiola. Then there was the shortcrust pastry, which was cooked just right, I think, also to better dry out the insides, given that the onions, as we know, release moisture. Total cost €30 plus water, bread, and service.

10/07/2025: Excellent pizza al Taglio. Super fast and friendly service. The pizza is delicious; it's not the best I've ever had, but it's definitely delicious and it's a great way to get out of a tight spot.

22/06/2025: Sunday lunch: nice and cozy place, attentive but never intrusive dining room service. We had as an appetizer an egg with truffle on a nest of crispy potatoes (spectacular in the presentation and astonishing in the taste), two first courses: a pappardella filled with potatoes and porcini mushrooms (beautiful to look at and very pleasant to taste); a tricolor gnocchi (beautiful to look at but the taste lacked that extra kick); two second courses paired with their side dishes (good and not banal) and two desserts (a very fun deconstructed tiramisu and a delicious creme brulee) water and coffee. 115 euros for the experience offered, price perfectly in line with the offer. everything plated, presented and served with care with new and pleasantly surprising combinations. Definitely worth trying the summer menu put on the table soon. We will be back.

15/06/2025: One word to describe it: Superb! The creamed cod appetizer was very good, the Gricia was perfect, the cockerel and lamb were amazing! Good wine list, prices in line with the excellent quality of the raw materials. I will definitely be back.

03/08/2025: This is my second visit to this restaurant, and the experience is always truly delightful. For our appetizer, we tried the ricotta with flaked black salt, honey, and chopped pistachios, a delicate and surprising combination that perfectly opened the meal. Next, we enjoyed the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, the fettuccine with wild boar, with a bold and well-balanced flavor, and the strozzapreti with cheese, pepper, and mint, an aromatic and enveloping dish. For our main course, the sliced beef was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. All this accompanied by courteous service and a welcoming atmosphere, making this place ideal for both dinner and lunch, as a couple or with friends. A must-try for those who love traditional cuisine and authentic flavors.

31/08/2025: Everything was beautiful and, above all, very good. Truly excellent. Spaghetti with clams worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The only shame was the few mosquitoes too many. Highly recommended.

22/08/2025: The place is always busy, the food is excellent, the mix of raw and cooked appetizers is very tasty, and the first and second courses are excellent. The only flaw, which I didn't really appreciate, is the lack of a menu where you can choose and see the prices. You have to order blind, and since the final bill isn't exactly cheap, sixty euros a head, I'd like a little more transparency.

21/08/2025: Dinner featuring fresh fish from our seas!! Reviewing and rating is no easy task... for fish lovers, it's a must-try! I'll use one word: "EXCEPTIONAL"!

10/06/2025: I wouldn't recommend it to a Pugliese to rediscover the flavors of home....I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants to know the flavors of Puglia. The raw materials used for the fish-based dishes are frozen but are correctly indicated on the menu. Panzerotti and pucce disappointed me unfortunately. Prices are a bit high considering the offer and the location. Service ok.
