13/05/2026: I visited L'Osteria della Trippa in Trastevere, and I must say the experience left me with mixed feelings, even though overall I ate really well. The place has the atmosphere of a modern Roman osteria, well-maintained but not overly formal. As soon as you enter, you immediately notice the attention to traditional cuisine, featuring typical Roman dishes prepared just right. I had a carbonara and Roman-style tripe: the carbonara was creamy, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients, while the tripe was definitely the highlight, tender and well-seasoned. The supplì were also very good. The portions are generous, and you can taste the cuisine's uncompromising focus on tradition. The service was friendly and fairly quick, though a bit rushed at times. The place was packed, and you could feel the lively atmosphere typical of Roman trattorias. However, a few details did put me off: the tables were very basic, with no tablecloths or placemats, and the prices were slightly above average for an osteria. A carbonara at those prices inevitably raises very high expectations. Overall, however, the quality of the food is evident, and I understand why it's so highly recommended by so many Roman cuisine enthusiasts. It's not your typical, basic, cheap trattoria: you pay a little more here, but the food is good, made with top-quality ingredients. I'd return, especially for the tripe and the authentic Trastevere atmosphere.

The bread is heated on a griddle until it's perfectly crispy on the outside and fragrant, while inside you'll find carefully selected, top-quality ingredients. It's our favorite place when we get hungry late at night: those sandwiches truly transform a snack into a moment of pure happiness. Preparation takes a few extra minutes, but you immediately understand why: each sandwich is made with care, and the end result is well worth the wait. 09/01/2026: A beautiful church, inside is a triptych of Christ the Savior between Saint John and the Madonna. A kind lady told me that every second Sunday in May, the discovery of the body, found in a field where it had been buried in period costumes, is commemorated.

22/04/2026: A historic restaurant in a delightful location. Excellent food, very friendly service, and good value. Definitely worth a try. In the warmer months, it's a lovely place for lunch because of the ambiance.

06/04/2026: The food was quite good, the staff were friendly and helpful, but the wait was long. It's our fault, because Easter Monday shouldn't be a good time for lunch! Overall, though, a good experience in the countryside.

08/05/2026: Excellent typical and traditional cuisine, we use it for lunches with colleagues, the only flaw is the lack of windows, if you want to eat something home-made you can't miss it, better local red wine.

07/03/2026: We had the pleasure of visiting Le Chiacchiere during a wedding, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The location is in a very quiet and private place, set in a beautiful villa with a lovely garden, perfect for special events. Easy accessible by car with a spacefull parking. The interior is elegant but also very warm and welcoming. The brown tones create a cozy atmosphere that almost feels like being at home. The staff was very kind, professional and efficient, always attentive to our requests during the event, including the needs of the children. The food was excellent. Every dish was high quality and beautifully presented, a pleasure both to see and to taste. The first course with white truffle is something we will not easily forget. We definitely recommend this restaurant both for special events and also for a lunch or dinner with family. And honestly, for the beauty of the dishes, I think the photos speak for themselves.

17/03/2026: I've been there several times and I always go back when I want to eat something special, the tasting menus are excellent both in terms of quality and price, the Thursday promotion is not to be missed if you want to eat and also save money, a must try for those who have never been there.

12/03/2026: Excellent location with friendly staff, very expensive, poor, and unsatisfactory food. On a Sunday evening, out of 6 first courses and 6 second courses, there were only 3 left for each. I had to choose a sea bass tartare with questionable vegetables (raw cauliflower and peppers, a terrible combination!), where I found bones and scales from poorly boned fish in the raw fish! I pointed this out to the waitress, who apologized upon her return. I would have preferred it if the Chef or Manager had done it personally! For my second course, I had to order porchettato cod. I've never eaten fish covered in pork, and it was smelly too! And that too with bones! This pairing, too, wasn't brave, but inappropriate, for me, who comes from the excellent restaurants of Anzio and Nettuno! To finish, a licorice bitter that was stale and smelly! All very expensive and without even a discount! Totally rejected!!

10/06/2026: On Saturday evening, I dined here with one of my daughters. Unfortunately, our experience was not positive. The carbonara, in my opinion, was just okay. I then ordered tripe, but I didn't like it and decided to return it. The cutlet my daughter chose also didn't convince us in terms of flavor and perceived quality. To conclude the meal, we ordered a sorbet. The final bill, including half a liter of house wine and water, was about €80. Considering the amount consumed and the quality of the dishes we tried, I felt the value for money was not satisfactory. This review reflects solely my personal experience. Unfortunately, for me, the dinner didn't live up to expectations.

23/12/2025: This is a wine bar in a quiet, secluded neighborhood not far from Piazza Bologna. The atmosphere is relaxed, like an old-fashioned tavern. I've been there three times already: the soups, crostoni, and meatballs are excellent (I prefer the classic ones with tomato sauce). The desserts I tried were "average." An added bonus: the place is usually quite quiet, making for a pleasant conversation. There are only a few tables. The owner knows a thing or two about wine.

23/05/2026: Delicious home-cooked Roman cuisine, the magician's meatballs are the bomb, and Mr. Riccardo provides courteous service, without Roman overstatement, very friendly, and offers good advice. As a Roman living elsewhere, it was a pleasure to eat here; I felt at home.
