04/10/2025: Very nice restaurant and pizzeria, open on Monday evenings and always full. The pizza is very good, thin and typical Roman, and I recommend the tiramisu as well as the dessert. There are always items to choose from on the internal blackboard (specials of the day) and the staff is fast and kind. I've been there several times and we've always had a good time.

28/09/2025: They seated us right away, and we sat there for 35 minutes before they asked us to order. Then it took another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The food was average for Rome, nothing special. We wouldn't recommend this place unless you have nothing else to do.

21/09/2025: Nice place, excellent food, breakfast/lunch/dinner. We had lunch, tonnarelli sea bass and cherry tomatoes for two, delicious. Two Cokes, one water, homemade ice cream, very fair prices, friendly staff. We'll be back for lunch again today.

21/09/2025: Years have passed, but Gitano remains my favorite place. The little wooden house with its beautiful veranda overlooking the lake still has its charm. From here, you can admire the lake in 360°, a lake that never has the same color, but is always beautiful. This year, the big news: in charge, we have a wonderful staff of 20-year-olds; beautiful, smiling, and extremely courteous. They always keep this place tidy and clean. The food is excellent; my favorite dish is octopus with potatoes. Francesco, our legendary lifeguard, is always there. His strong point? His ability to engage the children and keep their "screaming" parents at bay so they can take a nice nap in the afternoon. Thanks to all the staff, and see you next year. Hugs, Emanuela

02/12/2025: Excellent service and delicious food. A bar in the historic center with fair prices, not the usual tourist trap. Polite and friendly staff. Highly recommended are the daily specials, which change regularly. Spaghetti with clams is SUPERB.

01/12/2025: What happened Friday night in front of Caffè Perù is extremely serious. My boyfriend and I were attacked by a group of drunk teenagers, completely out of control. They hit the car and even tried to pull my partner out of it. Luckily, we managed to lock the car and get through, but it was an absurd, extremely violent scene that shouldn't exist in a historic neighborhood in the heart of the city. While all this was happening, an elderly Chinese man (probably one of the owners) wearing a red sweater and a beard was outside and did absolutely NOTHING. He didn't call for help, he didn't try to stop the teenagers, he didn't make a single gesture to protect anyone, and most importantly, they didn't call the authorities. This behavior is unjustifiable. It's now clear that this establishment is creating a huge problem for the neighborhood: alcohol sold for a few euros, groups of drunken minors, loud noises, chaos, and decay. Some nights, the street turns into an uncontrolled zone. All to the detriment of the residents. We were the ones who called the police immediately, because the situation was completely out of control. And honestly, this bar is responsible for this mess, because what's happening in front of its door puts the safety of anyone who even happens to pass by at risk. As it is, this place has become a threat to the area. It's no longer a question of the quality or friendliness of the neighborhood bar (especially since we frequent it during the day): this is about public safety. It's clearly a completely irresponsible management, ignoring what's happening in front of the bar and leaving the neighborhood at the mercy of dangerous situations. What happened was shocking, frightening, and absolutely unacceptable. Serious and constant controls are needed, because this poses a real risk to residents and passersby.

31/05/2025: A place just a stone's throw from Ponte Milvio. It offers an aperitif formula of 3 tapas, 6 euros. Considering the price of the drinks, the quality/price ratio is slightly high.

16/07/2025: Welcoming facility close to the station. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is refined, with outdoor smoking areas and a well-appointed common room for relaxing and enjoying breakfast. The bedroom is clean and modern, with a comfortable bed and the option to block out the light, which is crucial for a good night's sleep. The only downside for those with heavy suitcases is the stairs to reach the floors. I'll be back!

31/10/2025: We found this place by chance on some food platform. 4.5 reviews I think this score is untrue. The food is excellent, the sandwiches are amazing. They're cooked to order, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. Friendly service. The bill may be a little high, but the quality justifies it. Recommendation

19/10/2025: We arrived with three hungry children. The waitress was very empathetic and welcomed us warmly, even though it wasn't exactly lunchtime. The dishes were hearty and delicious.

I personally come to ReTrombone every now and then, but since I have my own restaurant, I don't have time, at least in the summer. I can tell you that having a place where the people serving you are kind, polite, competent, and "absolutely delicious." 06/10/2025: I was here with some colleagues about a week ago. I'll start by saying that the food isn't bad, perhaps a little high quality/price ratio, but there are other problems. At the end of the evening, we left completely shocked; we definitely won't be back. This is shameful. During dinner, what I believe to be the owner accidentally spilled a full glass of red wine on me. Result: my sweater (black and white striped) and jeans (fortunately dark) were completely soaked. Of course, I received an apology, which I greeted with a "don't worry," even though I was freezing and feeling sorry for the ruined clothes. But now we come to the highlight of the evening: the bill. We asked the owner to split it by four, and the conversation went like this: "It's 37.25 each." "We'll pay by card." "Are you paying in pairs?" "No, 4 separate transactions." "Then it's 38 each." At that point, a little disconcerted, my colleague (from Naples) politely replies to the owner that perhaps, to exonerate himself for what happened with the wine, he could have avoided adding 75 cents each in commission. In return, the owner responds with a very elegant: "Look, I know how it works in Naples," followed by several unfortunate comments (we didn't even understand where they were going with this) such as "I have relatives in Caivano and I know people from Poggio Reale," before concluding with the remark "Look, it's customary to leave a tip." I conclude by saying that in Naples they probably would have offered me dinner. P.S. I threw away the sweater.

20/10/2025: A truly lovely pizzeria with ample outdoor parking. The Roman-style pizza is excellent, and the appetizers are delicious. At the end, they even brought us a Nutella puddle, a real treat. Recommended.

19/10/2025: We came as a group, ate with the all-you-can-eat pizza option, and I can only be satisfied. A generous selection of appetizers, followed by endless round Roman-style pizzas, all thin and thin. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and the price was also excellent. I highly recommend it.

05/11/2025: Just passing through this restaurant. Unfortunately, the service is slow and the quality, apart from the salads and bowls, is appalling, even disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it, especially not to tourists. I was there four years ago and it was much better. A shame, even though the pub atmosphere is pleasant. What a shame...
