A place just a stone's throw from home that I'd known about for years, but due to work and coincidences, I'd never been there until last night when I decided to sit in the Antica Grotta and discovered: a grand atmosphere, professional and friendly staff, fast service, and good food. Excellent restaurant/trattoria in Marino, a beautiful town in the province of Rome, not far from Lake Albano. A truly charming place, with a vintage feel, reminiscent of historic Roman trattorias. The homemade pasta is truly delicious, the polenta is also excellent, and the grilled main courses are truly succulent. Friendly staff, prices are perhaps a little high, but it's a truly wonderful experience.
