04/10/2025: My wife, son, and I spent a couple of days in Rome and checked off everything on our bucket list. The last thing we wanted to do before catching our train to the next destination was enjoy an authentic Roman-style pizza. Our hotel recommended San Marco, a local favorite. We knew most restaurants close between lunch and dinner, so we were happy to find a place that came highly recommended and was open. When we arrived, there was only one other table occupied, and we chose to sit on the patio. The menu offered plenty of options, but we were there solely for the pizza. We ordered two different pizzas, and unfortunately, both were a bit of a letdown. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong with them—perhaps they just weren’t our style. We had high expectations since everything else we’d eaten in Rome up until that point had been exceptional. All in all, if you’re looking for a quick, convenient place to eat, San Marco fits the bill. But if you’re after an authentic experience and some of the best pizza in Rome, this probably isn’t the spot.

02/10/2025: We came here for dinner. The food was OK , not more. They didn’t serve all the entrees at the same time , the pizza arrived a little cold. And after paying the bill the waiter was a bit aggressive over the fact that we didn’t add service to the bill ( we thought it was automatically added) .

20/10/2025: Forced to give one star. It's a shame because if it were for the quality of the pancakes and the friendliness, I'd give it all the stars, but it's embarrassing that in 2025, the Google listings aren't updated. After 11 hours of work and a 40-minute drive to get there, I found it closed. Disappointed.

14/10/2025: An institution. Excellent product and raw materials. Finally, a business that puts customers first, even before itself, and it shows in the returns it gets.

13/09/2025: I had the pinsa. I'm not a fan of it, but I really liked it; it was well-seasoned and large. It also came with some fried foods and beer. They bring you water in jugs, which I don't like at all; I prefer bottled water. €23, a price now in line with the market. I sat outside in the garden and it was nice.

13/10/2025: Passing through on our way back from Perugia, we stopped for a quick dinner. The mixed grill was tasty and well-cooked, with delicious fries on the side. Kudos to Patrizia, who, with patience and a huge smile, gave us excellent advice. Highly recommended!

16/09/2025: Found by chance on The Fork, prices below average, all traditional Neapolitan products. Excellent appetizers and pizza, we'll definitely be back. It's a shame we had to wait a while for the pizzas, but the quality was worth it.

07/09/2025: Located in Genzano di Roma on the street where the town annually hosts the Infiorata, a display of works designed with real flowers (photos attached on the restaurant's website). Beautiful restaurant with attention to detail. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and helpful with any questions or requests about the menu. I went on a Saturday night and it was very busy. I recommend booking a table in advance. Service was a little slow, probably due to the large crowd. The food was delicious. I had a mix of fried foods and pizza (pizza and Neapolitan fried foods). I'd definitely go back.

30/09/2025: Recently renovated, the place is pleasant and attractive. It's larger than before. The food and cocktails are decent.

05/08/2025: One of my favorites for aperitivo in the Piazza Bologna area. I highly recommend their platter, which is varied and generous, paired with a drink for €12. (The platter pictured is for eight people.) The only downside is perhaps the outdoor area isn't the most elegant or refined, but for a low-key spot in the university area, it's fine.

28/07/2025: The atmosphere is small but welcoming. The grilled calamari with baked potatoes is delicious. The pizza is really good. Highly recommended.

06/06/2025: Prenotazione con parecchi giorni di anticipo per 3 persone: io, il mio compagno e un’amica. Entriamo e nessuno ci accoglie, restiamo in piedi fermi sulla porta ad attendere e ad un nostro cenno ci dicono che sarebbero arrivati per farci accomodare ma passa più di qualche minuto. Quando finalmente ci indicano dove accomodarci notiamo che i tavoli tra di loro sono molto vicini e sedersi non è stato facile in quanto lo spazio di movimento era veramente ridotto. Restiamo in attesa altri 25/30 minuti e nessuno ci porta il menù, la mia amica decide di alzarsi e chiedere almeno un po' di acqua. Dopo questo inizio sinceramente avremmo voluto andare via ma ormai si era fatto tardi. Finalmente ordiniamo. Il menù non è molto ampio e alcune pietanze erano terminate. Il mio compagno si è dovuto adattare perché quello che avrebbe voluto mangiare era appunto terminato. Arrivano due primi piatti su tre ordinati ma quello del mio compagno uno era sbagliato. Ovviamente lo portano indietro. Dopo un po' di tempo ne portano un altro e dopo ancora finalmente l’ultimo primo piatto, quello sbagliato inizialmente. Come se non bastasse mangiare in tre in tempi diversi, la pasta dell’ultimo piatto portato a tavola, era cruda. Onestamente ho perso la pazienza e ho riportato il piatto lamentandomi di tutto quello che era successo, quasi praticamente in cucina, visto che in sala il personale è sempre stato quasi completamente assente. Si sono offerti di cucinare altro ma ormai era veramente troppo tardi e avevamo un appuntamento da rispettare. Conclusione: il mio compagno non ha mangiato, io e la mia amica abbiamo mangiato in tempi diversi, tanta attesa e una bella arrabbiatura. Non sono solita lasciare recensioni negative ma non ho visto un minimo sforzo da parte del personale a recuperare in maniera concreta e adeguata a tutti gli errori commessi. Ci è stata tolto dal conto il primo rimandato indietro ovviamente ma non ci è stato fatto 1 € di sconto, anzi, il coperto è stato calcolato per tre persone, anche per il mio compagno rimasto a digiuno.

13/10/2025: We visited this restaurant on Sunday, October 12th. We had made a reservation over the phone, and our table was supposed to be inside. It was a beautiful day, and we had hoped for an outside table. In fact, as soon as we arrived, they sat us outside without even asking. It was a truly appreciated gesture. There were four of us, and we had various appetizers and first courses. Everything was delicious, with the first course being fantastic. I must say it was a wonderful discovery. We will definitely be back, thanks in part to the friendliness of the waitresses who served us and the excellent value. Congratulations to everyone.

07/10/2025: I've been there twice within a few days, and it's been very pleasant, right from the moment you step inside. It's a shame that the first time the pasta (which was beautifully served) was too tasty, but the second time, every course was absolutely flawless. Perfect for lunches out of town when you want to avoid the hubbub of the Castelli Romani (where, incidentally, it's become difficult to eat well).

04/10/2025: The food is very good. I can confirm this after years. One of the best restaurants in Rome in terms of value for money.

30/09/2025: We arrived as guests and immediately noticed how lively and well-visited the restaurant was. During our short stay in Rome, we had dinner here on two evenings, and both times the experience was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. You can feel that this place is run with true passion, heart, and dedication. The ingredients were fresh and regional, and for us as tourists, it was a very different experience compared to dining in the city center of Rome. This was authentic, traditional cuisine — not the typical tourist food you often find elsewhere. There was a great variety of seafood, pasta, antipasti and shellfish to choose from, and we received excellent recommendations directly from the owner, who speak english, which made our meals even more special. We would like to send our warm regards once again. We had a fantastic stay and will never forget the time we spent at Gennaro’s restaurant. Greetings, Maren and Zana!

20/05/2025: Prenoto e specifico di mangiare fuori visto la bella giornata ma quando arriviamo ci hanno messo dentro, tutti stretti. La serietà prima di tutto

30/04/2025: Sembra di stare a casa, in famiglia. Il proprietaio molto simpatico e cordiale si intrattiene a chiacchierare con gli ospiti e dispensa consigli sul menù. Mi consiglia delle pappardelle con salsiccia, crema di parmigiano e finocchietto davvero gustose, con pappardelle fatte con grano saraceno. Ottima la scaloppina con scamorza e porcini ..porcini veri, non quelli dei barattoli. Ottimo il tiramisù e il prezzo nella media. Da replicare.

21/09/2025: A beautiful place with lovely green spaces!! Clean place!!! We went for lunch... which due to the wait turned into a snack... the appetizer, first courses, and second courses were not bad, the baked potatoes were good, the desserts were so-so....!!!!!

15/09/2025: We had dinner at Fontana a Valle yesterday and were very satisfied. We had the opportunity to try everything from appetizers to main courses, all the way to the pinsa, and were delighted to discover that everything was delicious. The cured meats were fresh, flavorful, and of high quality; the meat was beautifully aged and tender, and even the pan-fried vegetables on the side were delicious and not greasy (as is often the case in restaurants). The pinsa was a wonderful discovery; it's made with very little yeast and uses several unusual flours, which clearly shows the craftsmanship behind it (definitely NOT a supermarket pizza). Finally, the desserts were also delicious and handmade. The staff was extremely kind, and the wait times were reasonable; the environment was very well-kept and clean. The prices were fair and excellent value. We'll definitely be back to try the first courses, too; we recommend it to everyone! P.S.: I find the sign at the entrance advising parents to supervise their children to be correct and respectful towards other diners (just to educate some parents who no longer know what good manners are).

24/07/2025: After being there several times, I can confidently say it's one of my absolute favorites for the quality of the ingredients, the informal and relaxing atmosphere, and above all, the warm, attentive, and friendly service.
