Stunning, challenging, 18-hole course that offers a constant challenge. You'll need every club and shot to tame it. The course is maintained to the highest standards, with perfect greens, but very challenging. The rough is very punishing, high, and hard. The green fee is reasonable for the quality of the course. Driving range with Trackman stations for analyzing your practice and simulating one of the available courses. Very professional staff. Good quality bar and restaurant.

It is a solid track. Greens nice rolling around 9 speed? 275€ plus cart. Overall experience was a 5/10. 5 hour round, no beverage cart or halfway house. Just main bar where at the turn, a group or two stopped for a while causing a 3 group backup on 10. No personnel to correct this on a nice course is odd. Main clubhouse is blah. There is also a pool near the patio that is unkept, green, eyesore. A lot of Ryder Cup display is kinda overkill. If you have a cool course, there’s no need to splash it everywhere.

I travel around playing bucket list golf and added this to my list as I was already visiting Rome. The facility was very underwhelming. I won’t go into course conditions because I played in February though all the courses I played in Portugal weeks prior were in much better condition and this was my most expensive round. I tried canceling ahead of time after reading reviews and extended weather forecast. I was one day away from cancellation policy so I couldn’t cancel and save myself the transportation costs. I seriously felt like I was at my home course not at a former Ryder cup venue. No starter at first tee, no Marshall on course that I could see. Cart kept saying I could go on fairway and every time I did it said to get on path. A worker called the pro shop for me because it wasn’t cart path only and they couldn’t end up getting the cart fixed. Which ended up being a none issue because of how much time I had between shots, plenty of time to walk to my ball. I had a group of old ladies in front of me who I met at each tee and couldn’t get by. I skipped a hole to get by only to see the course backed up in front of them too. I skipped 3 holes to get ahead of everyone as after 3 holes I was on pace for a 6hr round. Once in the clear I caught up to what appeared to be a high tier player practicing with their coach and ended up just packing up and leaving. I was alone in a cart and expect to catch people and be slowed down and that’s ok but with no starter at 1st tee everyone just tees off in order not at that their time so it was backed up. No problem for my home course but not cool for an expensive round. Really wish I tried canceling a day earlier so I was within the 7 day cancellation window. Not crossing this one off my list, I’m just removing it completely.

The Marco Simone golf course is absolutely stunning — beautifully designed and perfectly shaped. Playing here is a real experience, and we will 100% come back. Unfortunately, the facilities are very disappointing. It’s not a problem that the clubhouse is old, but it clearly receives no care or maintenance, which is a real shame. On a course where the green fee is €250, one would expect a great restaurant, comfortable seating areas, clean locker rooms, and at least a marshal on the first tee.
