15/06/2025: On a Saturday evening, the three of us were the only guests. It wasn't very inviting, and they only provided a menu upon request, with the caveat that there was hardly any meat, mostly fish, and not every dish was available. We just had a drink and moved on. What a pity.

Recommended are the homemade "liptauer" and the bread dumplings with goulash. Prices vary, of course, depending on the type of food (a quick but tasty snack or a more traditional lunch), but they're always reasonable.

The owner and staff are truly amazing—so friendly and attentive. They go out of their way to ensure that every customer feels valued and appreciated, which really sets this place apart.One of the standout features for me is their early opening time at 6:00 AM. As someone who starts work early, it's such a blessing to have a spot like this that caters to early risers. Whether I’m grabbing a coffee to go or sitting down for a quick breakfast, I always feel energized and ready to tackle the day after visiting.The menu is fantastic, offering a variety of delicious options that cater to all tastes. Each dish is made with high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the care that goes into every bite. It’s evident that the staff takes pride in what they do, and it shows in the consistency and quality of the food.Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s not just a business; it’s a community hub where everyone is treated like family. 22/08/2025: I've seen the rise and fall of this establishment! Once one of the best ice cream parlors in my city, the service is currently modest, to say the least, and that's another compliment. They don't even offer table service anymore, not to mention the ice creams 🧐which were once the flagship. It's a shame to say these things, but that's the reality 🤔

17/08/2025: Very welcoming property. One note: given the moderate evening temperatures, the air conditioning, set to 23 degrees and not adjustable, was too low.

02/06/2025: *booked through booking* Maybe as a restaurant it could be good, I personally have not tried it and I do not intend to judge on anything; however, as a B&B it failed. The idea was nice, a quiet place far from the chaotic city, surrounded by nature with a swimming pool and many rooms, however the structure is abandoned to itself, the owners non-existent, reachable only through booking. We have had a series of problems with other customers of the structure, and so far I do not blame the owners for the incorrectness of 70% of the clientele of this place, however I blamed them for the absence following various reports. It is a pet friendly B&B, and so far, I have nothing to say, most of the clientele is disrespectful, dogs left for hours to bark in the rooms, alone, while the owners were out. The owners were warned multiple times of this problem without coming to the structure and solving it. Once called they agreed that the dogs should not be left alone, but the problem was not solved. I know this is not a problem that will always arise but the absence of the owners in this situation says a lot. Also the room that was assigned to us is not the same as the photos, so if you would like to choose this place based on the rooms, be careful, booking is aware of this problem and is currently resolving the issue.

28/09/2025: Sunday, September 29 At 2:40 PM, my wife, our one-month-old son (who was sleeping soundly in his stroller) and I headed to the "Hosterie" restaurant with one goal: to spend Sunday lunch enjoying a delicious carbonara. Despite having 80% of the tables free, the waitress informed us that they were closing and not accepting any more customers. It should be noted that they were scheduled to close at 3:30 PM. Regretfully, we decided to head home, but first we stopped at a nearby shop. Coincidentally, after 15 minutes we passed by the restaurant again and immediately noticed that some new customers had arrived, occupying a table for four and two tables for two. Astonished and, above all, pissed off, we went to ask the waitress for an explanation, who, embarrassed, replied that they had decided to "reopen." 😅 From the lack of welcome we received, we sensed that their only problem was apparently the stroller with the baby (the first was cumbersome, the second annoying). We leave this review with a bitter taste in our mouths because Hosterie has always been one of our favorite places, until this unpleasant episode. We leave a heartfelt piece of advice to the owner: if they have a "no children or no families" policy, please have the courage to write it on a special sign and hang it outside the establishment.
