03/03/2026: We went for lunch on Sunday. The restaurant was welcoming and the service was good overall, but the most important thing was the quality of the food. The price was reasonable for what we ate. I definitely recommend it.

10/01/2026: consigliato in estate quando si mangia nel dehor oppure in giornate poco affollate. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo se non si cerca il menù ricercato ma una carta breve con piatti casalinghi ben eseguiti. Buon vino a consumo di produzione propria, ottimo pane, primi con sugo di selvaggina e secondi con carne di cortile (coniglio, anatra, oca, pollo) o grigliata. Consigliate le minestre, le insalate fresche e saporite, il frico con diversi tipi di formaggio, i secondi di carne locale. Si parla volentieri friulano, in inverno consigliabile prenotare se si vuole stare nella saletta con il caratteristico "fogolar". Prezzi in poco più cari delle altre trattorie tipiche della zona. Infine, se Gilberto è in buona, non mancate di assaggiare il suo ottimo nocino o un qualsiasi dei liquori fatti da lui.

28/02/2026: Delicious food, but ridiculous portions. €15 for what was supposed to be roast venison leg, but it turned out to be two and a half micro-slices of venison with a thin slice of polenta. €12 for four ravioli. The quality is excellent, but they're overdoing it. The waiter even candidly told the next table that they have small portions. If you want to leave hungry, go ahead.

10/01/2026: We stopped after a hike to grab a bite to eat and ordered two platters, one with cheese and the other with cured meats (both delicious). We'll be happy to return to try some other dishes. 😋 The place... an osteria with a nice, warm dining room.

09/11/2025: It's a shame the staff was inattentive, because the coffee and pastries were good. The women's restroom was out of order, and the men's restroom was filthy. A regular customer reported that it had been out of order for quite some time.

07/11/2025: A café that doesn't serve hot chocolate in the fall, oh well. I get a cappuccino and the milk is a little sour. Never mind, Trieste has no shortage of cafés.

05/04/2026: We went in a group of 25 people; the menu had been agreed upon in advance. The food was good, the service was quick, and the staff was friendly.

17/01/2026: We had lunch last Saturday in a traditional Friulian atmosphere, almost like a "frasca," nice and warm with a roaring fireplace. We ate cjarsons, stew (not goulash, mind you), and brovada and muset. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced.

22/07/2025: Attracted by an event organized as "Paella and Sangria," four of us attended; the food was satisfactory, but when it came time to pay, we were in for a surprise: the advertised price of 20 euros per person, including sangria, had risen to 25 euros, a 25% increase. A protest email requesting compensation for the amount unduly paid went unanswered, with neither a refund nor any form of justification. I'd say it was two visits in one, the first and the last.
