18/04/2026: L'angolo dei Tigli is located just outside the historic center of San Giovanni. The restaurant is spacious, with indoor and a couple of outdoor tables. The owner is super kind and welcoming. But the highlight is the piada, one of the best on the Riviera. Highly recommended.

15/03/2026: Besides the piadina, which we've rarely tasted as good, the owners' helpfulness and courtesy are noteworthy; feeding two unfamiliar passersby past closing time is not something everyone can do. Conveniently located off the highway with parking.

07/04/2026: We were served very quickly despite being full. The tables outside were very comfortable, located along the pedestrian street and allowed us to escape the noise inside and have the stroller nearby without disturbing. The food was delicious and the desserts were huge and delicious!

A sliced ​​steak weighing just under 200 grams, practically boiled, not grilled, with rosemary thrown on top, and completely tasteless. The dishes smelled terrible. I ordered a beer and was served one that had expired at the end of February; the waiter immediately changed it and apologized. The tortelli were okay, but not excellent. The lasagna, on the other hand, was excellent. The waiters were very kind and professional. But probably something in the kitchen needs a little updating. It's become a place for tourists only.

SPECTACULAR!!! We started with an appetizer of cured meats with fried gnocco... Sorry, FRIED TORTA!!! Otherwise, the cook gets angry 😁😁😁, truly fantastic, the best I've ever eaten!! We continued with tortelli verdi with leek and speck, truly excellent, and finished with beef cheek with polenta... sublime, very tasty... And then we finished with a slice of sour cherry tart... SUPERB!! (If I hadn't been bursting, I would have had a second helping...) - all washed down with an excellent Lambrusco which, surprisingly, in keeping with tradition, is served and drunk in "little bowls"... 23/11/2025: Even though I've been with my dog ​​before, today my 3kg dog was not allowed. Furthermore, a young man, likely an agitated and perhaps work-stressed owner, amidst the chaos and noise that reigned supreme in the restaurant, told us in a loud and annoyed tone that we needed to be respectful of the other diners because the dog could bother them. When we declined the reservation, he yelled at us, telling us not to come back. He would have simply asked us to be private and politely tell us not to bring the dog again. Before asking for respect from a customer, perhaps we should give it. I repeat, we hadn't mentioned the dog, because she had always been there before. Perhaps we made a mistake, for which we apologize to the other customers. The management, however, was extremely rude! Anyway, we went to another restaurant, very quiet and welcoming, which even gave our Cicci a bowl of water. Culinary art should always be combined with the well-being of entertainment and not just be seen as the mere consumption of food, even ordinary food.

Friendly staff, always ready to accommodate every need! Romina in particular was friendly, kind, and attentive. It's a shame we're so far away, but we'll definitely be back!
