04/12/2025: I went for lunch a few months ago and found the service a bit lacking, but the food was good, in line with expectations for the city. It's a genuine, touristy pizzeria without too many frills. If it's not your first or last time in Naples, it's worth trying for a change; otherwise, you can find better.

11/11/2025: We had lunch there on a day when we were visiting Sorrento and it was raining heavily. We ordered a dish of gnocchi, a dish of spaghetti with tomato sauce, and a dish with clams for €64 (no dessert, just water). We ate the exact same dishes five days earlier in a small trattoria in Naples (Da Maria) for €38… So, the price was excessive, even if it was good (as good as the small trattoria!). I won't be going back.

06/11/2025: I got pasta here that changed my life. It had a lemon creme sauce that was just slightly sweet. Service was great too.

24/09/2025: Great food at reasonable prices. Rotisserie chicken was fire. My wife got the chicken kebab plate and said it was some of the best food she had on our 2 week trip. Highly recommend for a quick,casual, and delicious meal.

28/10/2025: I waited an hour for a plate of pasta, and when I mentioned that I had to leave and would pay for the Coke I drank, I was charged a cover charge, which I didn't use. Congratulations

26/10/2025: We had dinner here and had a wonderful meal: the meatballs were noteworthy, and to finish, the pasta and potatoes were delicious, and the spaghetti alla Nerano was truly excellent. If we'd had room for something else, we'd have loved their bruschetta, which looked very inviting from other tables. So, the food is truly traditional and excellent; a place to experience the Chiaia neighborhood at night. The service was excellent, and the staff were super welcoming, kind, and friendly. When we return to Naples, we'll definitely stop here again.

23/10/2025: One of Salerno's historic restaurants, an excellent family-run business that continues a tradition. It offers typical and tasty dishes, attentive and friendly service, and excellent value for money. Finding dried fruit, such as walnuts, figs, and even sorbets, is not a given and deserves a special mention. Congratulations, Giuseppe and Carmine.

09/10/2025: We arrived starving and lost just looking for pizzeria. We poked our heads in to find an elegant dining room complete with a piano and organ. They were closed for the typical Italian lunch break, but the owner all but forced us to come in and take seat. He and his wife are the chefs and their son works the floor and they came up with freshly prepared pasta dishes made all from scratch. The wife came out to brag on her hand made noodles and gnocchi and boy way is delicious. The son gave great company while waited for our meals. The place instantly became our favorite restaurant!

04/11/2025: Gorgeous place, fabulous food paired with exceptional wine. Unique and tasty appetizers. The first courses were delicious. The meat was a spectacle. Fast and attentive service. Fair prices. The owners and waiters are friendly and very approachable. I felt right at home.

07/11/2025: I must say I had a wonderful meal in a very nice and welcoming place. The steak with gorgonzola was spectacular, the fried fish lightly, and I also tried a slice of truly excellent pizza. The staff was truly friendly and helpful. Top marks.

05/11/2025: Once again, La Cantinaccia didn't disappoint! This time I ordered takeout, and I have to say the quality is the same as when you eat in: well-prepared dishes, generous portions, and everything arrived hot and perfect. You can feel the passion and consistency in maintaining the high standard, even outside the restaurant. Kudos, as always, to Sebastiano, who proves himself to be a true host even from afar! 👏🍷

05/10/2025: Last night my wife and I had dinner at this restaurant. We were greeted by the owner (I presume), a very kind man. He explained the preparation of the dishes very professionally, and thanks to his advice on the meat, I rediscovered old-fashioned flavors. I hope to return; I forgot to mention the final bill—another plus: the prices are lower for the quality of the ingredients.

21/08/2025: A magnificent experience: culinary, courteous, and relaxing. Four of us arrived for lunch and were warmly welcomed by the owner, who served us with excellent advice while maintaining a rare discretion that we greatly appreciated. The menu was challenging due to the wide selection of inviting dishes. Also noteworthy is the attentiveness with which one of our guests was able to accommodate celiac disease. The timing was very appreciated; even though we ordered different dishes, the staff ensured that we all ate the various courses together. Even though we had requested two glasses of wine, the bottle was left at the table, a gesture we greatly appreciated, even though we didn't drink more than two glasses. The experience was fantastic, and we were also satisfied with the bill, as with the quality we expected a little more. We couldn't help but express our deep gratitude and ask others to follow their example.

06/11/2025: A disappointing and unprofessional experience. We've been to this restaurant many times, but unfortunately, we've had unpleasant experiences on two occasions. The first time, we asked for appetizers to be served first, followed by pizzas, but they brought everything together. When we pointed out the misunderstanding, the waiter and even the owner were rude, showing no helpfulness or kindness, an attitude that left us very perplexed. Despite this, we decided to give it a second chance, because the food itself is good. However, on our second visit, the staff made jokes about the previous situation, which was unprofessional. The worst, however, happened with the dessert: I found a small piece of plastic in the tiramisu. We immediately reported the problem, and they took only that dessert off our bill, without any particular apology or attention to the incident. Since then, we've tried returning several times, but for over a month, we've been told "there was no room." It's hard not to think they no longer want to accept us as customers. It's a shame, because the food is basically good, but the lack of professionalism and respect towards customers weighs much more than a well-cooked dish.
