One of the few places where there are no scams: Prices are clearly displayed and are fair for Capri. The staff is very friendly, smiling, and attentive (they even moved our luggage to the side so as not to be a nuisance). There's a lovely terrace overlooking the sea, but also overlooking the queue for the excursion boats.

I was in May and had a wonderful time in Capri, especially at Il Gabbiano. The food was delicious, and the service from the staff and owner was magnificent—attentive, warm, and always available. I felt right at home. I loved the place and the service I received. Keep up the good work! Congratulations! The location is marvelous, right on the waterfront, with the boats and launches in Marina Grande. The accommodation is very well located, close to everything, just a short walk away. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back sometime! It was one of the most wonderful places I've ever been, not only for its beauty but also for the warmth of this bar/restaurant. We had pasta with octopus sauce for lunch, and it was delicious. The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly. The front veranda also has fans, so it's great for keeping cool, especially during the hottest months. We felt so well looked after. This place truly made us feel like we were on vacation.

I personally recommend this place for a meal. Prices are affordable and the quality is good. The restaurant offers ready-made meals and sandwiches, and you can build them however you like. We ordered two large sandwiches, one with meatballs and peppers and the other with octopus. Afterwards, we drank a nice freshly squeezed orange juice, a little pricey, but after all, we're on Capri. The manager was very kind enough to let us sit for a couple of hours after our meal while we waited for the ferry.

Carlo and the staff make you feel like family, with cooking as good as my nonna’s. The freshest pastas and brightest flavors at great prices right at the port with the kindest, most friendly staff…what more could you ask for? Going back to Capri just for this spot!
