17/01/2025: To be honest I came here after recommendations from people I trust. Those same people told me about Antica Da Carmine which I have returned to 4 times. Antica Capri was full the first time I tried to come, but I managed to get a table the second time. The waiter was friendly and accomodating and recommended me a starter and a main. Starting with the starter: Mussels with breadcrumbs on top. To be 100% honest it was a rather flat dish, not really exciting and the breadcrumbs were soggy and gritty. Main course, their famous seafood pasta in a bowl with beans covered in dough. The waiter proudly cut the top off the dish and whistled as he walked away. Let me get this straight out, it was decent, but far from great. You know when seafood is too fishy? It sounds idiotic since it IS seafood, but there is that line where it becomes offputting because its too pungent. Well, the addition of beans and clams-mussels is definitely not one i'll go for again, perhaps this truly is a local delicacy and they crave it like I crave ramen but I'm on the outside here... I definitely won't say the dish tasted bad, it was just not to my taste. I'll skip this in the future and head back to Carmine where every dish I've tried has been exemplary. Perhaps Antica Capri used to be good and lost their way? I don't know.

07/12/2024: Personale gentile, ambiente piccolo ma carino, menù ricco di pizze con accostamento di gusti dolce / salato ed ingredienti di stagione proposti in maniera insolita. Impasto tradizionale. Abbiamo ordinato la pizza parmigiana scomposta , dolce salato ed una a base di zucca..tutte belle alla vista ed ottime al gusto. Il tutto accompagnato da birre servite fredde. Conto più che giusto. Da ritornare

22/12/2024: Very warm shop. Very friendly attitude from the guys working at the service. What we ate of meat and appetizers was great. His meats are very good and really cooked by an experienced person. You don't call it an expensive store. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is that the wife and I decided one day to order 2 burgers at home. And they were really useless. Burnt to the point of charring on bread and burger, and with a strong curry spice flavor... We couldn't tell... And this bad thing happened to both pieces. I will try again. Maybe it was the wrong time. Hope.....

30/11/2024: The pizza and all the offerings are truly excellent, I gave 4 stars to the atmosphere, just to tell you that you cannot have loud music, as there are so many people at the weekend, everything would be much nicer if we could also talk. After all, we go out to be together.

25/11/2024: Despite the restaurant being closed and preparing for a private event, they made an exception and welcomed us in. The staff was outstanding – even though they didn’t speak English, they were incredibly accommodating and attentive. The food was exceptional, prepared with fresh, local ingredients that truly made a difference. I highly recommend this place for both the warm hospitality and the fantastic dining experience!

25/09/2024: Location da sogno, con vista sul golfo. Servizio e qualità delle materie prime da stella Michelin. Da non perdere gli antipasti ed i crudi veramente eccellenti. Sofisticata cantina dei vini. Bellissima esperienza.

Homard pâtes desserts tout était délicieux et bien cuisiné Des difficultés pour se comprendre nous sommes français…. Nous aurions souhaité dîner devant La vue c’était complet mais personne n’est venu…. Et pas de carte Sinon un bon moment

06/11/2024: Really a great place! I trusted the reviews, as we are from Turin and I must say that we did bingo! We had dinner on September 13th, for my husband's birthday! Everything was delicious, the staff were excellent... friendly and helpful. Excellent food quality! The tuna steak... sublime! Ditto the desserts!!!! ❤️ It's a shame we couldn't use the terrace overlooking the sea due to the rain and cold! If you visit Palinuro it must be a "stop" you absolutely must do!!!!

30/09/2024: Locanda molto romantica con splendida vista su Palinuro, servizio accogliente e disponibile. Pasta fresca ottima, con un fuori menù ai porcini molto apprezzato.

06/12/2024: The hotel is not brand new but well maintained, the rooms are very clean and in line with a 3 star hotel. Courtesy is always present... the breakfast is super. Well done🔝🔝

14/07/2024: Last night, Saturday 13 July, my family and I decided to have sandwiches at this famous sandwich shop for dinner. It's not the first time we've had them here even though it's been a while since the last time. As soon as it arrived, I immediately ordered. I ordered 7 Alba (fries, sausage, ketchup and mayonnaise) and a fries and hamburger sandwich. The waiting time was very minimal, in about ten minutes I had my sandwiches. Compared to the past, the sandwich was much smaller, it's like a French sandwich (at home we all remembered it as bigger) but it was very crunchy, soft, you could see that it was fresh and it was nice and filled. For 8 sandwiches I paid 25 euros, 3 euros for the Alba, 4 euros for the one with hamburger and fries. The price has also increased compared to the past, the Alba sandwiches cost 2.50 so they have increased by 0.50 cents and the size has decreased but despite everything, the sandwich is good and tasty, with the most convenient quality/price ratio than Scafati.

Being midweek, the place was pleasantly quiet, allowing me to fully enjoy the atmosphere and chat amiably with Pio, who enthusiastically told me about his culinary philosophy, based on the search for fresh, seasonal ingredients. 02/09/2024: Ci siamo fermati per caso di passaggio, location non male, ma i latticini immangiabili, mozzarella la peggiore che io abbia mai mangiato, per non parlare della provola non riesco a trovare un termine per classificarla, ho paura che anche il peggior vocabolo possa essere poco per descriverla, mi spiace solo che tanta gente mangia solo per masticare ignorando il gusto e i sapori di qualità. Fate le merende ma non producete latticini, non è il vostro campo. È brutto fare una cattiva recensione ma qui ci vorrebbero i pacchetti come si suol dire, abbiamo dovuto gettare nell’umido tutto.

22/12/2024: We booked here to celebrate two graduations together that were held in the same month and it was a pleasure for us to discover this beautiful reality and let our friends discover it. Good food, good wine, beautiful atmosphere and exceptional service at truly honest prices. Giuliano is a great host and welcomed us right away, treating us with the utmost availability, responding positively to any of our requests or changes of ideas. I wish you more and more success because when you work well that's what you deserve. Compliments.

29/09/2024: We went for dinner...I don't judge the waiters because they were very good. I don't judge the wine because it's a good choice... but I judge the food for the paltry portions of potatoes which were cooked really badly. But you have a cost of 1 euro per kilo and add a few more potatoes. Maybe it was Saturday. And then I want to say something about the location, it's already a place that today with this seismic situation and various permits I wonder how it manages to exist, but the really absurd thing is that there is no air conditioning but fans, you couldn't breathe. We were underground at 37 38 degrees minimum, and without a way out if something happened. If you are claustrophobic this is not a suitable "cave" for you!!!
