18/05/2026: My wife and I spent two glorious weeks in Ischia in late May, and this place quickly became our absolute go-to for morning coffees and pastries, and lazy evening drinks in their beautiful semi-covered seating area. Their coffee is amongst the best I've ever tasted, and their selection of pastries, cornetti, and cakes will blow your mind. Then there's the gelato... We did our best to sample all the flavours, but once we tried their signature 'Winner' we never looked back. All this comes with trademark Ischian hospitality, in beautiful surroundings. We'll definitely be back the next time we're on the island, senza dubbio.

03/09/2025: I hadn't dined at Borgo since it was renovated, so taking advantage of a quieter late-summer evening, I decided to try it with some friends. The location is very well-maintained, with wooden tables and benches giving way to more modern and elegant furnishings that blend perfectly with the splendid setting of Acciaroli's harbor. The new, fully open kitchen is also very attractive. I really enjoyed the appetizers, both raw and cooked, where I found great respect for the raw ingredients, which remain the protagonist even in the more elaborate dishes. For the first course, I opted for the linguine with prawns, a simple dish but truly excellent in flavor. The desserts also deserve special mention; we tried several, all very good (but if I could have, I would have eaten 12 ricotta flowers!). The value for money was good considering the location, service, and overall quality of the dinner.

21/04/2026: 4.5? But bought? HORRIBLE! Let's begin: Four of us arrived and were seated at a table for 12, set for 9, with tons of chairs arranged haphazardly, and very low ones at that. There's no menu, you have to eat whatever they have that day. Appetizer: 1 slice of salami, 1 slice of pancetta, 1 slice of prosciutto (obviously all of these were pre-packaged deli meats), pickled onions (NEVER SEEN THESE IN AN APPETIZER). Let's move on to the first course: We were told, "We have ragù, a LITTLE Genovese, and pacchero with pistachio pesto, chopped pistachios, crispy bacon, and burrata." What the hell does a little Genovese mean to me? You either keep it or you don't. Obviously, we choose the pacchero; it was anything but what was described to us. There was no burrata, the guanciale was the kind from the supermarket's plastic boxes and was also very soft, the pesto was regular pesto from a jar, and the sprinkles on top were obviously tasteless, being the sprinkles used for cakes. We wanted to leave at this point, but obviously we were very hungry and it was already past 10:30 PM, because they were obviously very slow, even though there was barely room for two tables. We continued with the meat, which was even asked to be cooked medium. We asked for it to be medium rare, and of course, it arrived completely rare. When we told the waitress we were going to continue with the main course, she gave us a look as if to say "C'mon." And nothing, we were there on a Saturday night, it's Tuesday and I'm still having a stomach ache. You have to be careful what you serve because you're harmful!

01/12/2025: There are four of us and we sit at a table set, as is often the case, with simple plastic placemats; we receive a single menu consisting of 3 or 4 crumpled and simply stapled A3 sheets. We can't figure out where the list of dishes is, then we realize they're on the first page, in 7-8 lines, all together, without spaces, with no distinction between appetizers, first courses, second courses, side dishes... I've never seen a more hastily put together and disorganized menu than this one. This leaves us very perplexed and, unfortunately, doesn't bode well; as they say: a good start to the day begins... and so it was throughout lunch! We are brought the usual filtered water, in an unlikely bottle. We order first courses: cicatelli with broccoli and mezze maniche with mixed fish, cuttlefish, and shrimp. The cicatelli are in broth, while the mezze maniche have been spotted with a telescope. When we complain, we are told that it was a "seafood ragù." The best, however, came with the main courses: a boneless shank, paradoxically reduced to a small piece of boiled, tasteless meat, and a boiled, tasteless, and smelly veal shoulder, accompanied by a salty sauce and two small, bland, flavorless side dishes. It's best to draw a veil over the desserts... Change your profession, this isn't for you!

30/11/2025: I first encountered Boda de Ciondro about 10 years ago, when I had the opportunity to appreciate their catering for two weddings. I was looking for a venue for my 40th birthday; I wanted a welcoming, refined yet bucolic atmosphere, and above all, one that offered unconventional cuisine, different from traditional restaurants or farmhouses. A few months ago, I happened to read an article about the restaurant, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, and it was a revelation. I contacted them, and after exchanging a few emails, we organized a Sunday lunch for 14 people. I trusted them and trusted them; ten years is a long time, and my memory of it could have been different from the current reality... Instead, it did not disappoint. I couldn't have made a better choice. Everything was perfect. Even though I didn't opt ​​for the "event" option, I still showed all the consideration due to those celebrating a special day. My guests appreciated and enjoyed all the dishes offered, which, as I hoped, reflected the soul of the restaurant: refined but without forgetting tradition.
