09/05/2026: We ordered four coffees, an ice cream, and a babbà at the counter. The coffee, given the large number of coffees, came with a cup stained with drippings. No praise for the coffee; mine at home is better. We waited about 10-15 minutes for an ice cream; a woman asked the cashier for a refund and it was denied. The tall, thin waiter got into an argument with another Asian waiter. Arguments should be made after work, not in front of customers. This place has an average rating of 4 out of 5; most of the negative reviews are based on poor service.

04/04/2026: I went there on a Saturday night with friends. The green pepper fillet steak is highly recommended. The appetizers are also excellent, especially the meatballs and potato bomb.

20/02/2026: An unforgettable Valentine's Day at Macello! 🥩❤️ We decided to spend Valentine's Day here, and we couldn't have made a better choice. From the moment you enter, you can sense a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for a special dinner for two. 🌹✨ The real star, however, was the food. For our main course, we shared a meat dish: a superior-quality tagliata, tender as butter and cooked exactly as requested. 🥩🔥 To top it all off, we paired it with three sides: super-crispy baked potatoes and other expertly prepared vegetables. The portions are generous, and the ingredients are truly top-notch. 🍟😋 The whole experience was complemented by two excellent glasses of Moio, a wine that is an absolute guarantee with red meat, structured and enveloping. 🍷🍷 To end on a high note, we treated ourselves to a warm-hearted chocolate cake, decorated with sprinkles and powdered sugar: the perfect sweet ending to such a romantic evening. 🍫🍮 Praise also goes to the staff: kind, knowledgeable, and never intrusive, despite the restaurant being packed for the occasion. If you're looking for a place where meat is treated with respect and passion, "Il Macello" is a must-visit. 🔝👏 We'll definitely be back to try other specialties on the menu! But that's not all: pancakes, Sicilian granitas, crepes, churros, and the fantastic Ischian cornetto, not to mention the semifreddos, cups, and the legendary babà. Gaetano and his staff always have a smile on their faces and are incredibly friendly and helpful. Top!

06/12/2025: My group stumbled across the most unassuming little hole in the wall restaurant and ended up having the best pizza of my life. No exaggeration. From the moment I walked in, the place had that authentic, no frills charm that tells you they care more about flavour than flash. The aroma alone should win an award. The pizza was perfection. The crust had that rare balance of crisp on the outside and soft inside, the sauce tasted like it came straight from a family recipe that has been guarded for generations, and the toppings were fresh and thoughtfully layered. Every bite was the kind of moment that makes you pause and appreciate what real food is meant to taste like. What made it even better was the staff. Friendly, genuine, and proud of what they serve. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in every detail. If you ever want a reminder that the best meals often come from the most unexpected places, you need to visit this spot. Hidden gem does not even begin to describe it. I’m already planning my next trip back.

27/04/2026: Excellent food and service, and on Sundays they serve a set menu. The only downside, in my opinion, is the rather high price of €40 per person.

16/04/2026: We were there on Easter Monday. There's really nothing to complain about about the location or the service. I'd give it a 10/10 rating, especially considering the huge number of people. The only flaw is the food, which could definitely be improved. Perhaps it's better managed on a sporadic basis. Would I go back? Yes, but they definitely can improve, or maybe I was just in the middle of a boom.

08/11/2025: Simply WOW! 🤯 The cuzzetiello we tried here was a true revelation. The bread was marvelous: perfectly crunchy on the outside and incredibly soft on the inside, the perfect vessel for a filling of the freshest ingredients and authentic flavor. Every bite was a symphony of flavors that won you over instantly! 😋But the real added value are the owners.
