On vacation in Ascea Marina, my wife and I stopped at Vanilla ICE while walking along Corso Elea. I'd read they made artisanal gelato and Sicilian granitas, and as a Sicilian (but I've lived in Rome for over 40 years), I wanted to see if that was actually true. That evening, we had a brioche with gelato and a bowl of gelato, and I must say it was truly excellent. Over the next few days, I had the opportunity to try other gelato flavors and lemon, black mulberry, and strawberry granitas with cream, and everything was excellent. Kudos to the owner and his staff for their expertise, professionalism, and politeness. Highly recommended.

Even though it has two flavors, the ice cream is abundant and very rich in ingredients, e.g. pieces of chocolate or fruit.

We purchased two artisanal ice creams in tubs, intense in flavor and made with quality ingredients. There are tables and stools outside and two benches to sit on. Recommended.
