01/04/2024: Terrible experience of an Easter Monday lunch. Terrible food, the only positive note was the guys who served the tables. Always friendly, they tried to recover the food they brought in every way possible back inedible and tasteless. After a buffet served without dishes but on paper napkins, based on pizza and focaccia, we started having lunch at 2.30pm with dishes that are not even worthy of comment compared to the price paid (60.00) per head. We left the place before we were even served the fruit and desserts. Sin! The place is very nice and the owner kind and helpful.

28/08/2024: we were guests of this structure in the week following August. I believe the location is strategic to be able to enjoy a cool climate and go on excursions in the Pollino park but at the same time be able to enjoy the sea. Unfortunately in the period we chose for our holiday (22/08-25/08) Scalea is impracticable for those who want to enjoy the wide Calabrian beaches without having to come across intrusive neighbors with umbrellas... too many people!! We solved it by moving to the seaside in Grisolia... large spaces and little Neapolitan tourism to the advantage of few locals. Definitely quieter and cleaner sea. Regarding the B&B, the rooms are clean, tidied up daily to the right size. There was no table or fridge and they are poorly soundproofed. Instead we had a small balcony with a drying rack for beach stuff... definitely useful. The breakfast included in the price was good but without the possibility of choice (in the sense that there was no buffet), which put us in the position of having to request some variations due to our habits which however were welcomed with availability and courtesy. We had dinner at the property one evening. Great price and good food. The staff was discreet and welcoming. The owner of the property was very kind and helpful. We didn't use the swimming pool, which I initially considered as an alternative to the sea. Small and overcrowded with guests from outside the B&B, but still a plus perhaps at other times of the summer season. Overall we had a good time. To get to the structure there is a small bridge over the river, very beautiful!! The car can be left before the bridge and then walk a few steps to enter the structure. I think we'll be back. The structure is on the path to then reach the river waterfall. It has agreements for rafting and other activities in the reserve. The town of Orsomarso is easily accessible from the property and is very characteristic. Excellent cured meats and cheeses. They accept electronic payments.

16/08/2024: New rooms, well kept and clean, (the only flaw is a fridge in the room)... quiet place away from the chaos... very kind and helpful owners... If I have to make a note I'll do it on breakfast... where you can't choose, but it's brought to you according to your taste... I would have preferred a small buffet where everyone can take what they like... with more fruit, maybe one all homemade etc...

22/08/2023: The only reason I would return to Villapiana is this restaurant. The gentleman who welcomed us and whose name I don't know, but who I will fondly call "the uncle", is very affable. Exquisite dishes (especially the first courses) and prices in line for a fish restaurant. Only advice: don't go at sunset because the mosquitoes will welcome you before your uncle.

20/08/2023: Locale molto carino e ottimi piatti di pesce. Piatti particolari e gustosi. Prezzi giusti. Da riprovare sicuramente per provare altri piatti del menu. Consigliato

09/07/2024: I went to this restaurant a few days ago. Fresh fish is not used in the most absolute way, on the contrary everything is frozen! Not to mention the pescotara risotto 😱 the oil was floating as well as being full of inedible pepper! FRESH fish doesn't need all that seasoning if it's FRESH... and there was nothing fresh about it. I will not return and will not recommend. P.s. friendly staff

08/04/2024: Ottimo pesce dal primo scialatielli alle vongole grandi, è squisito, alla frittura mista pesce e fritto di ottima qualità. Anche i contorni e la carne molto buona. Il servizio fantastico tutto il personale del locale gentilissimo disponibile. Qualità prezzo ottima .
