A short drive or walk will easily take you to the centers of Rotonda and Viggianello, two of Italy's most beautiful villages. The Masseria's restaurant is simply stunning, offering traditional dishes expertly prepared by Antonio, the chef and owner, with a simple and authentic approach, just like his dishes. Highly recommended.
02/01/2026: Dinner featuring local specialties, including cured meats, cheeses, meat, and truffles. Excellent and generous dishes at a truly fair price, and the staff is extremely friendly.

05/01/2026: We chose Acerenza as a base for our excursions. On our first night there, we decided to try the pizza at this restaurant, inspired by the reviews. It was a perfect choice...delicious pizza made by a skilled and certified pizza chef with undeniable talent: delicious pizzas!!!! We had reserved the B&B breakfasts at the bar in the same restaurant, where we met the delightful Donato, the waiter we had the pleasure of meeting the night before. We decided to return a couple of nights later to try the cuisine...the mixed roast was superb and superbly prepared! We highly recommend it... I forgot to mention the prices, absolutely in line with the excellent products offered.

19/01/2026: A stroll to discover the Lucanian villages, always rich in history and tradition. Looking for a place to taste typical dishes, we found ourselves in a family-run restaurant. A father, a mother, and Stefano, in love with their land and their business, delighted us with simple dishes yet rich in passion, history, flavors, and traditions. Our heartfelt congratulations, keep up the good work!
07/01/2026: Highly recommended!!! We went a few nights ago with our dog, and I have to say it was a real treat. The food was exceptional and authentic, made with top-quality local products. Kudos to the owner and all the staff!!! We'll be back to visit beautiful Basilicata and will definitely return to Piccolo Ristoro le Rocce!

11/01/2026: Today we had the pleasure of lunch at Sirtaki, a truly exceptional experience! We started with a delicious appetizer of cod and cruschi peppers, followed by a generous cheese platter and two first courses that won us over with their balanced flavors. The perfect finale was a melt-in-your-mouth Pizzo Calabro gelato. The service, from the incredibly sweet waitresses and the owner, was equally genuine and attentive, making us feel right at home. The location is wonderful, with an enchanting view of the lake, which makes everything even more special. Many compliments! We will definitely be back to discover other dishes from this restaurant that won us over. 🙏🏽🥰❤️ Highly recommended!
09/01/2026: It was my first time at SIRTAKI, and I have to thank some dear friends for it; otherwise, I wouldn't have discovered this restaurant. The food was excellent and very tasty, the staff was very kind and professional, and the location is truly charming. I will definitely return and recommend it.

Rocco and the waitress were impeccable, the place is amazing, and the owner and his magical cuisine captivated us. It would have been a real shame if, because of our delay, we'd missed out on an experience like this, which earned us a top rating. Wonderful.
24/01/2026: A tasteful and courteous experience. A lunch that fully deserves five stars; my choice fell on spaghetti with fondue and truffle and lamb Satrianese-style. What can I say, everything was excellent, from the taste to the presentation, not to mention the courtesy of the staff, who welcomed us and our dog into a comfortable and well-kept environment. I will be back, and with pleasure ✌️

22/09/2025: Spectacular food! Starting with the appetizers, featuring local, authentic Lucanian products, an endless variety that's already filling. The eggs with sausage and crusco peppers were an unforgettable dish! The first courses were also excellent, also prepared with local ingredients. Unfortunately, I was too full to try the meat-based main courses, but I'll definitely be back next time! The place is very cute, although a little hard to spot from the street because it's next to a gas station. Service was far too fast; I would have preferred a few minutes' pause between appetizers and first courses to better enjoy each course and prepare for another hearty meal.

The highlight is the chef's skill in harmonizing the ingredients used, all of which are of evident quality and freshness. Kudos to the chef and the entire team, efficient and friendly. Considering the quality, the value for money is also excellent. We'll definitely return and recommend it.
02/11/2025: 🗓️Last ​​weekend in Basilicata, we had dinner at the "Sotto la Torre" restaurant in Satriano di Lucania. 🤵‍♂️The hospitality and skill of the staff, both in serving and explaining the dishes served—all expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and with balanced flavors—made it a pleasant discovery. I think it deserves greater recognition, not only from locals but also from tourists like us. And why not, in my opinion, it also deserves some recognition. 🏆 Here's what we were delighted with. Welcome aperitif: Peperone crusco with ricotta mousse and duck speck. Paired with: Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. And from their bread: Peperone crusco, Sesame white bread, Turmeric and Ferrandina olives, Cuttlefish ink. Cuttlefish egg in a crust of its ink on a potato mousse, stracciatella, Stigliano pistachio, and a dusting of beetroot. Dry-marinated salmon with: Zucchini with mint, passion fruit dressing. Accompanied by: Watermelon sgroppino. Podolica beef tartare with: tuna sauce, almonds, capers, and balsamic vinegar. Slow-cooked egg on a cheese fondue, savory crumble, truffle, and cardoncelli mushrooms from the Lucanian mountains. Saffron Carnaroli rice with: Red shrimp tartare, buffalo mozzarella sauce, raspberry caviar, and parsley powder. Double-cooked octopus on a roasted pepper sauce, purple potato mousse, and sweet and sour Tropea onion. All accompanied by Verbo Bianco, from the cellars of Venosa. 2024 Small pastries with: Melon sphere, Pineapple, Carrot mousse, Creamy ricotta and mango. And to finish, Cheesecake mousse with berries. 🧳 If you're near Satriano di Lucania, you can't miss it. 😋 You won't regret it. 🤩

But Terranova is a perfect match for Federico and his Luna Rossa restaurant. Their unique restaurant offers cuisine based on appetizers and ancient recipes revisited by the chef's expert hand. Don't miss the "Cosciotto della sposa" (Bride's Leg).
