18/11/2025: A wonderful place immersed in the greenery of Lucania. Meticulously cared for down to the smallest detail and committed to exceeding guests' expectations, the Campolerose farmhouse is one of the few examples of pure beauty and immense care for its guests. A perfect place for those who want to escape the city and retreat to a quiet, unspoiled haven. I stayed there for five days, and Antonio, with his passion and expertise, delighted me with his house specialties: delicious and abundant, locally sourced dishes. On nice days, you can also dine outside, surrounded by greenery. The room was comfortable and clean, equipped with everything you need. I thank Antonio and his staff for their kindness and professionalism! We'll definitely be back. I highly recommend it.

06/10/2025: A regular stop when we go to Venosa, a very beautiful town with lots to see, and strolling through the center is relaxing. The restaurant is very well decorated for my taste, the ingredients are top-quality, the chef puts them together very well, the wine cellar is well-stocked, and the price is average. I recommend it.

28/09/2025: Recommended by a friend, I decided to try it, so on Thursday, September 25, my wife and I went there. It is located in a historic corner of the city of ACERENZA, behind the beautiful Duomo. We found a very comfortable and elegant environment, as well as clean and well-ordered. The welcome was very elegant, with extreme kindness and availability. Our choice was already oriented towards a good pizza. Browsing the menu, there was a wide choice from classics to homemade creations, as well as various appetizers. I don't want to go on too long, so I'll conclude by saying that I found a pizzeria that can be classified among the best, with top-notch taste. We also decided to try the restaurant, which already looks inviting from the photos. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, perhaps as a refreshment point after a nice walk in this historic village of ours, and especially after a visit to the cathedral, which is stunning. THANK YOU FOR THIS ADDED VALUE TO OUR LAND.

27/11/2025: Found by chance and forever in our hearts. We had lunch at this small but great restaurant, and what can I say...a gem. A quaint, welcoming place with a family atmosphere. The owners are incredibly kind and passionate about what they do, and they manage to convey it through their dishes. Authentic ingredients with authentic flavors; the macaroni with crusco peppers is a delight for the palate, an explosion of well-balanced flavors. The appetizers, made with local products, and the desserts are excellent. It's truly a pleasure to see that places like this still exist, carrying on traditions for generations and truly knowing how to do it well. Congratulations. Highly recommended.

22/09/2025: Spectacular food! Starting with the appetizers, featuring local, authentic Lucanian products, an endless variety that's already filling. The eggs with sausage and crusco peppers were an unforgettable dish! The first courses were also excellent, also prepared with local ingredients. Unfortunately, I was too full to try the meat-based main courses, but I'll definitely be back next time! The place is very cute, although a little hard to spot from the street because it's next to a gas station. Service was far too fast; I would have preferred a few minutes' pause between appetizers and first courses to better enjoy each course and prepare for another hearty meal.

27/10/2025: I was there yesterday, October 26, 2025, with a group. From the phone calls, I had a pleasant response to what others had told me, and it was all confirmed at lunch. The portions were generous (the appetizers were endless), and all the other dishes were truly delicious. They were accommodating to requests for changes. The price was fair for the dishes and portions. And then you could see all their cows grazing, a true immersion in nature! I highly recommend it.

04/11/2025: A truly fantastic discovery in Satriano di Lucania! At Caluale, everything is simply perfect: a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and dishes that captivate from the first bite. The appetizers are rich and delicious, with many unique options... but the fried arugula deserves a special mention: an incredible surprise, wow! 🤩 The first courses are a triumph of flavors: the spaghetti with fossa cheese and truffle is truly heavenly, a combination that will leave you speechless. The second course is also excellent, the lamb Satriano-style, tender and flavorful to perfection. And the crusco pepper...it's truly crusco! A culinary experience you absolutely must repeat! 👏❤️

02/11/2025: 🗓️Last ​​weekend in Basilicata, we had dinner at the "Sotto la Torre" restaurant in Satriano di Lucania. 🤵‍♂️The hospitality and skill of the staff, both in serving and explaining the dishes served—all expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and with balanced flavors—made it a pleasant discovery. I think it deserves greater recognition, not only from locals but also from tourists like us. And why not, in my opinion, it also deserves some recognition. 🏆 Here's what we were delighted with. Welcome aperitif: Peperone crusco with ricotta mousse and duck speck. Paired with: Prosecco di Valdobbiadene. And from their bread: Peperone crusco, Sesame white bread, Turmeric and Ferrandina olives, Cuttlefish ink. Cuttlefish egg in a crust of its ink on a potato mousse, stracciatella, Stigliano pistachio, and a dusting of beetroot. Dry-marinated salmon with: Zucchini with mint, passion fruit dressing. Accompanied by: Watermelon sgroppino. Podolica beef tartare with: tuna sauce, almonds, capers, and balsamic vinegar. Slow-cooked egg on a cheese fondue, savory crumble, truffle, and cardoncelli mushrooms from the Lucanian mountains. Saffron Carnaroli rice with: Red shrimp tartare, buffalo mozzarella sauce, raspberry caviar, and parsley powder. Double-cooked octopus on a roasted pepper sauce, purple potato mousse, and sweet and sour Tropea onion. All accompanied by Verbo Bianco, from the cellars of Venosa. 2024 Small pastries with: Melon sphere, Pineapple, Carrot mousse, Creamy ricotta and mango. And to finish, Cheesecake mousse with berries. 🧳 If you're near Satriano di Lucania, you can't miss it. 😋 You won't regret it. 🤩

15/11/2025: Restaurant in the historic center of Rotonda. Very refined, intimate, and welcoming atmosphere. Quick and competent service. The dishes are very carefully prepared and tasty, a gastronomic experience through special flavors and textures! The highest-quality ingredients are expertly prepared with love, evident in every dish. Every bite is an explosion of flavors. I was hesitant to visit this restaurant, given other reviews that mentioned small portions and high prices, but now I wonder how some people can write such things?! Quality and expertise come at a price! It's certainly not a restaurant with large portions, but the flavors and quality of certain typical dishes leave you feeling satisfied and contented! Even though we're far away, we absolutely must return to try other dishes! If you want to experience a truly unique dining experience without overindulging, it's highly recommended.
