10/11/2025: As soon as you sit down, you know you're in a temple of fine dining! Niko Romito is a genius in the kitchen! His sister in the dining room is his right hand! One waiter, however, was particularly arrogant...and a three-star establishment can't afford that! A customer has the right to eat as many dishes as he wants...after all, we traveled 800 km...just for dinner! It's a shame...but I also understand that trained staff aren't easy to find! Still, one of the best three-star establishments ever! Worth the trip!

13/09/2025: If you come to Castel di Sangro, you absolutely have to stop and eat here.
A very well-kept restaurant, with attentive and fast staff, and excellent food. Excellent value. My partner and I (we're parents, so we came with our young daughter) split a €24 appetizer and then ordered two first courses. My pappardelle with porcini mushrooms were spectacular. Finally, a lemon sorbet to refresh the palate.
A highly recommended place for new parents. The bathroom also has a changing table for emergencies.

04/11/2025: We dined at this gourmet restaurant with a lakeside terrace. All the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented.
The service was attentive but at times a bit rushed.
The location is worth it, although upon entering the room, there was a lingering cooking smell that shouldn't be noticeable.
The prices are decidedly high for the experience.
20/10/2025: Always top-quality. Excellent, well-balanced food with the right balance of tradition and innovation. The dining room is always impeccable. The wine selection is excellent, with a truly interesting selection of sparkling wines and champagnes.

A traditional experience built on passion, attention to raw materials, dedication, and love for your work.
Handmade tortelli, perfectly cooked grilled meats, mouth-watering first courses (literally).
All accompanied by the professionalism of the staff. Vincenzo: competent, welcoming; Lorenzo: a young, passionate, and capable chef.
The smiles of owner Angelo and his wife are a must for a memorable dinner.
Everyone was good, everything was excellent.
A highly recommended experience.

We were a group of nine and thoroughly enjoyed dining here. We tried a bit of everything: appetizers, first courses, second courses, and side dishes, and found every dish truly delicious and well-portioned.
The staff was extremely courteous and helpful: special thanks to Vincenzo and the head waiter (whose name we unfortunately don't know) for their professionalism and kindness.
If we ever return to the area, we'll definitely stop here again!

We enjoyed a varied selection of appetizers, first courses, and meat-based second courses, prepared with the highest-quality ingredients and meat from select regional farms. Each course stood out for its meticulous presentation and balanced flavors, highlighting the passion and expertise of the kitchen, accompanied by a wide selection of wines. The attention to detail and the exquisite courtesy of the staff, always helpful and professional, were particularly commendable. An excellent gastronomic experience that fully deserves to be recommended—sorry... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Special thanks to Chef Piero and Concezio for the service.

04/09/2025: If you're looking for an authentic place to enjoy authentic Abruzzo cuisine, made with love and without frills, this is a must-see. The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming: rustic tables, friendly staff, and a genuine warmth that makes you feel more like a guest than a customer.
The menu features the great regional classics, but the real star is undoubtedly the cazzarielli. Fresh, handmade pasta, tender and perfectly firm, served with a rich, fragrant, and flavorful sauce. It's a dish that tastes of home, of family Sundays, of timeless traditions. It's precisely for the cazzarielli that I've been coming here for years, and every time I find the same unique flavor and the same care in preparation.
The portions never disappoint, the main courses—like the grilled lamb—confirm the solidity of the cuisine, while the homemade desserts round out every meal with simplicity and sweetness. The cellar offers a limited but well-chosen selection of local wines, perfect to accompany these authentic flavors.
In short: a sincere trattoria, built on substance and tradition, that deserves all four stars. You come, you return, and you return again... especially for the cazzarielli.

29/04/2025: Un'ottima pizza 🍕 quella offerta da La Lanterna. Base ampia e sottile, impasto leggero e digeribile, condimento adeguato. Di qualità anche i dolci 🍮.
Bello il locale, comode le sedie e ampi i tavoli tondi. Un'arma a doppio taglio la presenza dell'area cucina e forno ♨️ a vista che rende l'ambiente piacevole d'inverno, caldo d'estate.
Bene il servizio, prezzi abbastanza in linea con i tempi; difficile ormai uscire con meno di 30€ anche da una pizzeria (bruschette divise, pizza, birra 🍺 e dolce).

09/11/2025: A small but very welcoming place, decorated with photos of the old Castello. The staff is friendly and ready to explain the various dishes on the menu. The chef is friendly and skilled. There's a wide selection of appetizers, including the cheese and egg balls. The menu also offers a decent selection of first courses, main courses, and side dishes. The wine list is good, especially the Montepulciano di Abruzzo, and the prices are average.
14/10/2025: A welcoming, rustic-style restaurant with beautiful photos and reproductions of paintings by Teofilo Patini. The food was well-prepared. The appetizers and arrosticini were excellent, but everything was delicious.

01/09/2025: This piadina shop was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel where we stayed. The piadina is excellent, prepared by the owner, who is truly talented. We also had amatriciana and carbonara, both freshly prepared and the best we've ever had. The charcuterie board was also delicious. The owner and his two daughters were incredibly welcoming. Excellent value for money. We'll be back!

03/11/2025: Welcoming place in the center. Then a stroll. The food in the square is excellent. Friendly owner. Quiet and friendly. Average prices. Added value. Fan. Napoli. With photos and flags. Inside the restaurant. I recommend it; it also makes excellent pizza.
03/11/2025: A place without too many expectations. Classic home cooking, everything well-cooked: fresh pasta made on the spot, cheese and egg ballotte (perhaps more bread and egg), good grilled caciocavallo, average arrosticini, and dessert: a classic crunchy parfait.
A positive note was that they kindly seated us at 2:45 PM without a reservation and with two small dogs, which is not something you'd find at many restaurants in the area. Recommended!

09/02/2025: La nuova gestione del ristorante, già conosciuto come Antica Neviera, si pone in primo piano nel panorama gastronomico della valle del Sangro. In un contesto dove l’offerta della ristorazione tipica è molteplice e di gusto, la mancanza di una realtà che tratti anche le specialità di mare con armonia e competenza era evidente. L’Antica Neviera sopperisce a questa mancanza con amore e innovazione, integrando con piatti ricercati di specialità di mare il menù tipico abruzzese. Accoglienza amichevole e attenta in un contesto ben curato, servizio veloce e professionale. Buona cantina dei vini e dolci di produzione propria. Rapporto qualità prezzo giusta, proseguite così!!!
