22/12/2025: The place is truly unique, but I have to admit that the occasional hope of seeing an ant crawling on my chair doesn't make me jump for joy. The food is good, although the ghioza were not very flavorful and the ramen was a bit too sweet. Otherwise, everything was perfect, especially the very helpful staff.

10/04/2026: Tonight we tried a sushi restaurant recommended by some friends... and what can I say: everything was impeccable! 🍣 From the quality of the fish, incredibly fresh, to the courtesy and attentiveness of the staff, to the master chef (originally Japanese!) who prepared true masterpieces before our eyes. A perfect experience in every way... in fact, even better than we expected!

03/05/2026: Dishonest experience. Recommended checking your order and the receipt before paying. Some friends and I realized we'd eaten a dish we hadn't ordered, but only after paying the bill. The staff didn't inform us they'd given us an extra dish, and after pointing it out, they told us it was our mistake because we'd eaten it, not theirs for serving it. I believe good service is, above all, honest. Mistakes can happen, but communicating them can prevent customer dissatisfaction. If the customer is truly at the center of the service, then it's a good idea. If we'd been told before paying or during the meal that we'd been given an extra dish by mistake, I wouldn't have felt it was a problem to pay for it. But denying, hiding the mistake, and accusing a customer when they ask for clarification is a bit strange. I would also advise the restaurant staff to inform customers in such situations. Inconvenient allergies and intolerances could arise, and that would go far beyond the "I didn't order this dish, why should I pay for it?" argument. We paid, but we won't be returning. We hope you take customer reviews seriously and improve the service. PS: Poor service aside, I don't recommend the sushi here. It's a fusion that covers the flavor of the fish. For Sicily, I expect fresher, more flavorful fish.

23/04/2026: Highly not recommended. The food used to be good. Not anymore; they've significantly lowered the quality and raised the prices. The staff was friendly, but the management was completely rude and impolite. I don't recommend it.

25/04/2026: Questionable service, excellent staff, but too long waiting times, I was swamped by websites, 40 minutes for water, pasta was almost ncuppulau, and I won't add anything else. The pieces were a bit too large, but it almost burned. Nothing, nothing, it won't be here again. P.S. You'll find a happy photo of me with water after a 40-minute wait.

I can say with absolute certainty that I've eaten some of the best à la carte sushi in the entire city here. Forget all-you-can-eat options: at Aiko, every piece is a small masterpiece. You immediately sense that all the ingredients are of the highest quality, incredibly fresh, and expertly crafted, elevating dinner to a truly exquisite gastronomic experience. The careful pairings and presentation of the dishes confirm that this isn't just a simple dinner, but a sensory journey. The restaurant is extremely welcoming and intimate, perfect for a special evening or a quiet dinner away from the hustle and bustle. Kudos to the staff: they were friendly and very helpful, guiding us through our selection of dishes with great professionalism. The wine selection also deserves a special mention: they have a very well-curated list that allows you to pair your raw fish with premium labels, completing the experience impeccably. In short: A must-visit for Japanese cuisine lovers in Palermo. I'll definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I went to Aiko for the first time, and we were immediately greeted with kindness and courtesy by the waiter who seated us. What immediately struck us was the atmosphere: the setting resembled that of a Japanese Zen temple, soothing music, and a clean environment. The young man serving the tables was noteworthy, with his attentive and professional manners. Let's move on to the star of the evening: superb sushi, aromas and flavors carefully crafted by the chef, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, for a truly remarkable multisensory experience. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, as was the preparation process described by the owner, Gabriele, whom we had the opportunity to meet and who helped complete our experience, also explaining the true essence of the dishes. In conclusion, we can consider ourselves completely satisfied and happy to have immersed ourselves in this oriental journey. Highly recommended.
