Zenchō Sushi In Ragusa

Good sushi, but some significant weaknesses in the rest We visited the restaurant with our children and wanted to try a variety of dishes. The sushi was really good – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A huge compliment to that! The service was also very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the rest of the offerings were disappointing: The Phad Thai unfortunately bore no resemblance to the original, and more than half of the alternative sushi dishes weren't available at all. That was a shame, especially when you're there with children and looking for something different. The drink selection was also very limited – there were only Coke and water as non-alcoholic options. A wider selection (e.g., juices, iced tea, or spritzers) would have been really welcome. Conclusion: If you want to eat good sushi, this is the place for you. Everything else needs to be urgently reworked – or the restaurant should focus entirely on what it does best: sushi.

Incredible sushi and wonderful staff!!

I had dinner with my girlfriend; the place was very small but well-kept. The staff were all very kind and helpful, and the service was excellent. I was a little disappointed with the food for the price; the sea bass and tuna were excellent, but the salmon was nothing special. The restaurant doesn't offer a wide selection of food. I recommend it, though, because overall I had a good time.

Disappointing compared to expectations based on other reviews. There are only a few uncomfortable tables, along the street with no separation. Service is slow due to the numerous takeaways, which penalizes those seated at the table. The food is of adequate quality, but the sushi is very Westernized and bears little resemblance to the original Japanese version. The soy is tasteless. Other similar establishments serve two types of soy (one more flavorful and the other more delicate), whasabi, and ginger, which were completely absent here.
