18/04/2025: I went to at least a dozen different all-you-can-eat sushi places here in Milan and the area, but this was without a doubt my best experience to date. Fish with above average quality, many options with tuna for dinner, well cooked and balanced rice, without just tasting like vinegar. Excellent sushi size in the formula, perfect hosomaki. Fried calamari are delicious and soft. I will definitely come back. Thank you!

16/02/2025: Nuova location in via melzo per un sushi che era già valido, ma il vecchio locale non era all altezza di cibo e servizio. Qui e’ stato creato invece un gradevolissimo ambiente con mattoni rossi alle pareti, arredi curati e specchi alle pareti, di impatto visivo piacevole. Servizio professionale e gentile, che ti fa sentire ben accolto. Uramaki molto molto buoni, yakimeshi altrettanto, anche gli altri antipasti tutti ottimi, solo i noodles udon in brodo unico piatto non riuscito e non di livello. Il menu’ dei piatti cucinati potrebbe essere leggermente ampliato, magari in futuro. Possibilità di bere anche dei cocktails, carta dei vini non enorme ma valida e con buone etichette. Bravi.

28/12/2024: Questo ristorante rimane una rarità a Milano. Dopo oltre 15 anni che lo frequento, i sapori, la qualità, il servizio sono rimasti integri ed eccellenti . Non scherzo nel dire che ogni volta che vi ritorno, i sapori mi catapultano nel 2007, quando mi trasferii a Milano e provai il mio primo sushi. Lo consiglio a tutti i giovani che pensano che il vero sushi sia quello dei molti AYCE sparsi per la città. Davvero COMPLIMENTI!!

26/05/2025: Authentic Japan, with character In a world of all-you-can-eat sushi and passing fads, this restaurant is a real gem. Here you can breathe in the real Japan, the one made of authentic flavors, respect for raw materials and attention to detail. The menu is well-curated, never banal: each dish is prepared with technique, passion and a pinch of personality that makes the experience unique. And speaking of personality... it's impossible not to mention the owner: eccentric, direct, perhaps a little over the top - but incredibly passionate. His love for Japanese cuisine can be felt in every word and in every dish that comes out of the kitchen. It's one of those places where you don't just come to eat, but to live an experience. Recommended for those looking for authenticity, quality and who aren't afraid of meeting a restaurateur with a lot, a lot of character.

30/04/2025: Sublime experience. I highly recommend it. Whenever I return to Milan I don't miss my appointment at Mookuzai. Michele explains each dish with love and professionalism and recommends what best suits your tastes. The fish is always very fresh and top quality. Unique and very creative dishes. Michele is always innovating, he is like the David Muñoz of Japanese cuisine in Milan. The restaurant is spacious and the atmosphere is very pleasant. As always it is a pleasure to return!!!

28/03/2025: I booked dinner at 9.07pm through Deliveroo as they gave a delivery time of 25-35 minutes. The rider arrives at 9.30pm to get the food but is not ready, waits an hour and at 10.45pm the food arrives. I try to call 15 times in the meantime and they don't even answer the phone. An hour and forty minutes late, he doesn't say, seems unacceptable to me. Not to mention that the fried food is cold and the wine hot

30/05/2025: Very poor food.. I had been there years ago.. and I couldn't wait to go back.. I had a pork cutlet that was hard and in my opinion reheated and dried out.. I recently returned from Japan and I know real Japanese cuisine well.. the accompanying rice was old.. hard on the surface.. and the seaweed was pre-packaged.. terrible experience.. very expensive prices for poor quality.. never again!

30/05/2025: But what happened to Poporoya, has it changed management?! I hadn't been back for a while and I was very disappointed by the quality of the food, which has clearly worsened!!! Its famous chirashi are now a distant memory. Tonight I had a Mezzodon, the rice was dry and parched, yakitori paid for and after not even 1 minute it was already served: obviously it was already ready and had been reheated: inedible skewers, cloying with hard parts of chicken (even with a piece of bone inside), they disgusted me so much that I left them on the plate. Dry and reheated tonkatsu, the meat not juicy at all. All the dishes had been prepared in advance and reheated, even the bowl of rice was dry. In Tokyo I ate amazing tonkantsu in unthinkable places! Exorbitant prices, for an almost non-existent service, plastic tables outside without even placemats. We are light years away from the authentic Japanese cuisine and the Poporoya of the past... deep disappointment. I will never set foot in there again. Those who frequented the place years ago will have noticed this change for the worse.

11/05/2025: We discovered Kokoro by chance and we were immediately intrigued. The experience confirmed our high expectations: the quality of the raw materials is perceived in every single dish, the workmanship and careful attention to flavor combinations makes every tasting unique. The intimate atmosphere and professional care of the service makes you feel at home. I recommend trying this authentic trip to Japan, we will definitely return in the future!

I reccomend for whom who want a good sushi at zone of Cadorna (2 min by walk from Station Cadorna). Good vibes and atmosphere. Design furniture are fusion beetwen vintage and modern with a little taste of exclusivity. Relaxing music.

28/05/2025: DO NOT GET THE VEGETARIAN RAMEN!! I ordered takeaway the only possible vegetarian ramen €16 for a broth of water with peppers, tomatoes, snow peas and PEACHES. How disgusting I have never eaten anything so shameful and tasteless for €16!! Not even a piece of Tofu or something normal to put in a vegetarian ramen? Pak choi? IMPROVE YOUR SELECTION and then maybe don't send in bowls that melt

07/05/2025: No taste. Asked for double meat and extra egg. There was 1 egg total (2 halves) and barely any meat. The whole thing tasted like plain water, despite having asked the spicy sauce. Very disappointing Ramen. Did not try anything else (desserts or starters). Waitress was very nice and I only waited for 5-7mins between ordering and having the meal served. Insanely expensive, paid 29€ for a water soup with some pasta and some pork meat. I went to another Ramen place right after to eat again. The other place was also disappointing, but that’s another story.

17/04/2025: 平日ランチに行きました。 開店前だったのですが入店はさせてくれましたが、中々オーダーを取りに来てくれませんでした。 ピザ屋と中国人の方が握る寿司屋の二刀流の様でした。 寿司はさすがに手が出せませんでした。 ピザは一枚10ユーロ以下でお得、味も美味しく満足でしたが一人当たり2ユーロのを取られたのはガッカリさせられた

13/04/2025: All very good! We got takeaway and the first thing is that the food arrived hot; apart from the tartare (which wasn't really a tartare but almost a cream) the quality is very high and everything is good! (Spectacular rice with prawns and vegetables)!
