Review:
We attended a wedding at the Nero Balsamico Restaurant in Casinalbo with a group of about fifty people, but unfortunately, the event organization and management were decidedly disappointing.
Upon arrival, the welcome was completely lacking: no one told us where to go, leaving us confused until we discovered we had to go upstairs. This welcome was immediately uncomfortable, especially for those with small children.
Main points of criticism: Disappointing food and portions: The portions were truly meager and everything was minimal, completely unexpected for a wedding reception. Incredibly, even the baked potatoes ran out and we were told there were no more for everyone. Given the small portions, we, as guests, were forced to ask for extra food, paying for it separately. As guests, we don't know the total amount spent by the newlyweds to make a direct quality/price comparison, but the overall quality was unsatisfactory and meager. Furthermore, the wine selection was limited.
Missed cake cutting: A major disappointment and source of considerable embarrassment for all of us guests was the dessert service: there was no traditional cake cutting. We had the slices delivered pre-cut by the waiters directly to our table, which greatly annoyed the newlyweds as well.
Service and comfort: The only credit for the table goes to the young man who served us: despite the precarious service, he showed great willingness and was very helpful. The air conditioning inside was definitely too high. There was also no option to play music. Positive aspects:
The venue is well-maintained and has a beautiful outdoor garden.
Free and very convenient outdoor parking.
The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, although quite a distance from the upstairs dining room.
At the end of the day, following the inevitable complaints, the owner (or his representative) offered a discount to the newlyweds. However, the embarrassment and inconvenience lingered. For the management of such a significant event, I absolutely cannot recommend this venue.

15/05/2026: The price was very reasonable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical Italian with lots of sweets. The coffee was very good. We didn't visit the bistro. The room was functionally furnished and a little worn, but very clean.
The beds were comfortable. The walls are a bit thin. There was plenty of free parking. The hotel is somewhat secluded. The garden and terrace are very nice and well-maintained. Overall, the price/performance ratio is good. We'll be back.

19/12/2025: Truly excellent food, including tagliatelle with ragù, stewed meat (sausage and rib), cotechino with mashed potatoes, gnocchi, and crescentine with cured meats. Everything was delicious, and the service was friendly and welcoming. I don't know the price, as it was a free dinner.
27/11/2025: Here you can eat tigelle and gnocco fritto, all homemade according to the Modena tradition, simple and authentic.
You'll find a piece of the region's culinary soul.
If you're driving around here, stop here; there's also a parking lot, which is more convenient than driving into the city.
You won't regret it...!!!

27/11/2025: Given the reviews, expectations were high, so we decided to give it a try. My subjective opinion is more positive than negative, but not entirely positive. Let me explain, starting with the service: the owner's raucous laughter is disturbing and bursts out suddenly in the middle of a conversation (though it's still appreciated that he frequently stops by the tables); the recommended wine, a Ripasso, isn't up to par, alcoholic and dull, although the wine list is extensive and well-stocked, even though the prices are quite expensive. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant, and the shelf of quality spirits bodes well for the end of the meal. Let's move on to the menu: I chose tortellini in broth, which were truly delicious, though it's a shame the portion was so small (!). I then went on to a slice of supposed venison (I thought it was beef!!!), also a tiny portion. The dessert (pear with zabaglione) was excellent. For the other diners, risotto, dry passatelli, guinea fowl, and a selection of cheeses were all excellent. When it came to the bill, unfortunately, we weren't offered the hoped-for after-dinner drink, and this, in my opinion, is a flaw in such a renowned restaurant. November 27, addendum: seriously, you make me laugh, not even being able to express a technical reply using Italian, just smileys, like children 😂

27/05/2026: Excellent evening at 7 Club. A stylish cocktail bar and restaurant with a great atmosphere right in the center of Formigine, perfect for an evening drink and a relaxed dinner.
We started with a perfectly mixed Campari Spritz, refreshing and beautifully served. For food, we had a burger and crispy calamari with fries — everything was delicious, made with quality ingredients, and presented at a very high level.
The staff was friendly, professional, and the whole place had a very enjoyable vibe with good music and a modern interior design. 7 Club is a perfect spot for a chill evening, drinks with friends, or a casual Italian-style dinner.
