04/01/2026: Excellent experience. It had been recommended to us for a while, but my husband and I hadn't had the chance to try it yet. Fresh, expertly prepared fish. Their mixed grill au gratin is fabulous, and the fritto misto is excellent. The steamed shellfish appetizer and the amberjack main course were also excellent. The service was impeccable and not at all intrusive. The quality/price ratio was also excellent. Overall, a place I'd recommend to everyone. We'll definitely be back.

The attention to detail in selecting the ingredients is clearly evident. Special praise goes to the staff, whose friendliness and professionalism helped make the experience even more positive. The service was quick, attentive, and always accompanied by a smile. 12/01/2026: We arrived almost at the end of the service, four of us plus our dog, without a reservation. They were very kind, and I had to wait a few minutes; they had our table ready right away. The place was busy on a Sunday lunch, but despite that, I didn't experience any inconvenience or delays, which I wouldn't have complained about given the situation. The food was good and, above all, plentiful—perhaps a little too much for us, but the waiter immediately prepared some takeaways for us, reducing waste. We reheated it that evening, and everything was still delicious the next day. The prices were normal, certainly offset by the quantity served. Highly recommended.

03/01/2026: La Prua Experience: Bad Embarrassment Due to Owner Jan 2026 • With Friends As a resident of Porto Garibaldi, I decided to take friends to La Prua restaurant. I arrived 15-20 minutes late compared to the 1:00 PM reservation, as evidenced by the last call made by the writer. Once inside, I wasn't even greeted with a good morning greeting, and was immediately reprimanded by the owner, who, in a very irritated manner, remarked that I was late and that I hadn't answered his phone calls. Given that the famous academic quarter of an hour exists and considering that my friends were from out of town, I thought it wasn't necessary to give 15 minutes' notice. I immediately apologized to the owner, who didn't even accept my excuses, being very rude. He continued to tell me that if I was another 5 minutes late, he would give the table away to other people. The service staff was very nice and kind, attentive to customer needs. Nothing to complain about on the matter. At the moment I'm informing the owner of the payment, apologizing again for the delay. It was absolutely not right to approach customers in this way, without even saying good morning or apologizing for the terrible approach. He, with a mocking and offensive tone, reiterates that I should have called. I think that in any restaurant within a quarter of an hour, if I had intended to cancel, I would have called. That said, if a business owner is unable to handle stress and treats customers this way, reiterating their payment terms, it's best for them to change their job. That said, for the unprofessional attitude, even though I live nearby, I will never go to La Prua again. Show less

02/11/2025: Let me start by saying that the staff is very polite and very committed. The owners did their best to provide us with a table even though the place was full and they could have paid us off, which we were very pleased about. We had a great time because the atmosphere is family-friendly, simple, and very clean. The food is good, and the fish is delicious. The place is located on Porto Garibaldi beach, so you can enjoy a nice stroll afterward, including the wine. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

10/01/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the two ladies in the dining room were kind. We chose eel risotto, which was good, although I was a bit disappointed. Knowing pasta with eel sauce is a good choice, I expected a different flavor. Then the grilled eel was good, although perhaps a little too dry. Prices were reasonable.

05/01/2026: We came here to try the eel and were very satisfied. We tried an excellent eel risotto, stewed eel, and grilled eel with polenta. All accompanied by a local red, as Artusi commands. A pleasant discovery.

18/09/2025: After finishing work at 10pm, we searched Google for an ice cream shop open in the area and, reading that this one was open until 12:30am, we went there, very hungry for ice cream, only to discover that it was all closed at 11pm... Everyone is allowed to close at any time they want, but they should let us know so as to avoid wasting time.

21/12/2025: Nice place, nothing exceptional about the food. Otherwise, a huge disappointment. In a simple sentence: Unfair. The menu has normal prices, then they offer you off-menu items (the prices of which you don't know), but what do you expect to be in line with the rest? Then the bill shows 23 euros for an appetizer: ONE... and I mean ONE... octopus tentacles cut into three pieces... as if it were a Michelin-starred restaurant. Huge disappointment.

14/10/2025: Terrible experience, rudeness and lack of helpfulness never seen in any restaurant in the world! We were a mixed table, adults and children, we asked to cook pasta for our daughter who is less than a year old and they refused. They told us it was Saturday and they couldn't because the kitchen was busy, the pasta was supposed to cook for 4 minutes or less. After we expressed disappointment towards the person who had taken our order, a young man, presumably Neapolitan, came over and told me that we had threatened the owner because we were a large table and to keep quiet because I couldn't expect such service on a Saturday! I told him he was leaving a small child to starve. This person raised his voice in front of our daughter who is less than a year old and in front of all the tables, telling us to leave if we didn't order! Which we promptly did!

15/08/2025: We spent some wonderful days at Kapogiro Beach, we felt at home. Vanessa and Gilberto (Gibi) are the owners, welcoming, always smiling, and genuine. They have all the comforts, including new and constantly sanitized bathrooms. Unforgettable aperitifs, dinners, and lunches with fresh fish delivered every morning and very fair prices. Highly recommended are the braziono or salmon ravioli handmade by Mamma Silva, the best I've ever eaten! Our go-to place at the Lido ❤️
