20/10/2025: I went to dinner with my family, but we weren't happy. I'll start by saying I'd been there before and had a positive opinion. The gnocchi were overcooked, and they forgot to ask how I wanted them cooked, as the meat was too rare. I asked for it to be cooked a bit more, but it came back the same and quite tough. The owners seemed tired, so not very friendly.

25/11/2025: I dined here on Saturday evening with four other friends. We left with a strange, almost jarring feeling, like when something isn't right, but it takes a moment to realize why. We'd ordered two grilled platters to share, instead of the usual individual main courses. The idea was simple: spend the right amount and eat in proportion. Too bad the portions weren't comparable to five main courses and the unjustifiable price tag was too high. In short, the portions weren't adequate and the quality/price ratio was hard to justify. The worst point came at the end of the evening: we all paid in cash and no one received a receipt. Without a tax statement, we couldn't even verify whether the price of the platters was consistent with the amount served. A restaurant can make a mistake with a dish, but transparency towards the customer is non-negotiable and fairness is not optional. They are the foundation of that unwritten pact that underpins the entire tradition of hospitality. It's not the dinner that disappoints, it's what remains afterward.

02/12/2025: Three of us went there for lunch on Sunday. We all had seafood. The ravioli filled with sea bass and scallop were absolutely superb and very delicate. The Vicenza-style cod was good, but average. The stewed eel was very good. Side dishes: excellent honey mushrooms. The ratatouille was decent and not too hot. Delicious desserts. We'll gladly return. The price is a bit high.

30/11/2025: Dinner with friends. Simple, ok place. 2 appetizers (1 fish, (sardines in saor, the other meat, 3 slices of soppressa fina and a slice of polenta.....) followed by a trio of cod and a tagliata (but in reality it was a thin steak.... Plus a side dish. Finally, 2 desserts, sgroppini. Cost 32.5 per person. You decide. Water and house wine (1/2). In my opinion, the quality was lower than the price paid.

22/10/2025: Fantastic beyond compare. We were doubly lucky: we found a table overlooking the canal, which is quite an experience because you can see the water changing colors. The service and food were phenomenal, and the Italian atmosphere was top-notch.

08/11/2025: The best place ever!!! Exceptional dishes made with love. Friendly, unobtrusive staff. Typical Venetian atmosphere, spotlessly clean and very welcoming. The owners, Marina and Maurizio, are one of a kind! When I decide to eat out, I either go to In Corte dal Capo or stay home!

09/12/2025: A typical Venetian trattoria. The food is truly excellent, especially the duck bigoli. The fillet steak is also incredibly tender. The service isn't fancy, but the entire staff is truly courteous and attentive. The restaurant itself has the look of a classic Paduan trattoria, with traditional touches and a decor that, while very classic, makes you feel at home and is in line with what you'd expect.

08/11/2025: Trattoria Monticelli is a place where you can eat well, savoring the atmosphere and flavors of times gone by. Since our last visit, it has been renovated and expanded, maintaining its rustic trattoria feel. The veranda area is lovely, with a burning stove to warmly welcome guests. The service is fast and friendly, everything is excellent, and the meat is top-quality. The stew with musso meat is a specialty, a dish rarely found at the restaurant and reminiscent of traditional dishes from the past. The desserts are also delicious and homemade, and worth sharing. My only complaint is that we were served a main course, but the side dishes were slow in arriving, which is why I took one star off the service.

30/11/2025: Wonderful experience! I went for lunch with a group of 20. Beautiful location, decorated for Christmas, warm and welcoming. They gave us a small room all to ourselves. The service was fast, punctual, and attentive. We had agreed on an interesting menu: risotto with prosecco and pork fillet, tirache with duck sauce, baked veal shoulder with potatoes and spinach, and a dessert. Excellent value and generous portions, with seconds available upon request. A very good prosecco to start. I really enjoyed it and recommend it.
