Twice I've received a booking confirmation, only to be called the next day to cancel with absurd excuses... I'm sorry, the old management would have been better, but you're not going to get very far with this approach. It's a shame, perhaps the name is all that attracts customers!

19/11/2025: A place we stumbled upon by chance, with an intimate, homey atmosphere. The creamed cod and Venetian-style cod are delicious. The bigoli in salsa are a must-try.

13/11/2025: These are my favorite places, quaint with local specialties. Both the pumpkin bigoi and the duck ragù bigoi are delicious. So is the cod and polenta we ordered for takeout that evening. Generous portions at a fair price.

14/11/2025: This restaurant offers a €26 fixed menu, including a first and second course from a selection of dishes (there are many traditional dishes). The dishes are excellent, and the portions are reasonable for the price. The staff is friendly and professional. The atmosphere is very homey, but the bathroom is the only downside, as it's small and poorly maintained.

11/11/2025: A must visit in Verona. It’s the city's oldest osteria, housed in a 13th-century palace where, legend says, Romeo lived! EUR26 for 2 courses. We tried donkey meat, hot pasta, horse steak and veal & mushrooms and all were great. We get the feeling they prefer to keep to locals only so don’t expect 5 star service but we were respectful and received lovely service & smiles. Don’t stay too long and book or go early because the place is packed. The toilet is a squat toilet so be warned it’s not fine dining. Very authentic and cheapest price for a very warm, hearty and homey meal in a historically significant place. We loved it.

31/08/2025: Unexpected and therefore a very pleasant surprise. Clean, tidy, with polite and precise service, but it's the cuisine that surprises: tasty, light, quality ingredients cooked with love. Nothing extravagant, tradition that doesn't mean ancien régime cuisine, on the contrary. Fresh and tender fish. Homemade desserts. Good wine selection. Finally, a cuisine that respects the product and the customer. Pleasantly polite atmosphere. Highly recommended.

14/08/2025: I don't like to give bad reviews... but I was disappointed. I've eaten there before and always had a good meal, but last Saturday I made a huge blunder with the person I brought to dinner that I can't help but mention. The cuttlefish was inedible (it had been cooked beforehand, if not defrosted, and had gone mushy in the sauce, which was tasteless and brown). The polenta was completely unsalted (I eat it with little salt, but there was none there). The fried cod was so full of breadcrumbs and hard that it couldn't be cut... I don't know what happened or if something changed in the kitchen, but I really didn't expect something like that.

25/11/2025: I dined here on Saturday evening with four other friends. We left with a strange, almost jarring feeling, like when something isn't right, but it takes a moment to realize why. We'd ordered two grilled platters to share, instead of the usual individual main courses. The idea was simple: spend the right amount and eat in proportion. Too bad the portions weren't comparable to five main courses and the unjustifiable price tag was too high. In short, the portions weren't adequate and the quality/price ratio was hard to justify. The worst point came at the end of the evening: we all paid in cash and no one received a receipt. Without a tax statement, we couldn't even verify whether the price of the platters was consistent with the amount served. A restaurant can make a mistake with a dish, but transparency towards the customer is non-negotiable and fairness is not optional. They are the foundation of that unwritten pact that underpins the entire tradition of hospitality. It's not the dinner that disappoints, it's what remains afterward.

02/11/2025: The quality and deliciousness of the dishes far exceeded my already high expectations. Everything was presented elegantly, but not pretentiously. Excellent wine list. The atmosphere was welcoming, as was the friendly and attentive service. A festive day made special by excellent food and wine.
