06/01/2026: I made a reservation for lunch at this osteria, and I highly recommend doing so because you might not find a table! The waitress seated us and served us attentively throughout the meal. We had a house antipasto, with cured meats and pickled products (the menu also said "in oil," but I didn't taste it; they all looked pickled to me), and in my opinion, it was the only item on the menu that was overpriced for the quantity served. We then had bigoi with duck ragù, bigoi with pumpkin and speck, and minestrone of the day (creamed cabbage and potato soup). The first two courses were perfect, but the creamed soup had way too much pepper. Side dishes: parsley potatoes and cooked vegetables, all good. Desserts: chocolate salami (a favorite with the kids) and a delicious pumpkin and chocolate cake! Drinks: water, orange juice, and two glasses of red wine.

02/02/2026: How lovely to see all the staff in uniform and with a fabric tablecloth. A business lunch with a fixed menu featuring excellent quality products and typical Venetian dishes, from Venetian-style liver to game ragù, etc. Everything was delicious and plentiful, as per trattoria tradition. The staff were friendly and professional. The typical trattoria atmosphere, which I love so much, feels truly rustic and authentic. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

21/12/2025: A very intimate and cozy restaurant, the dishes are high quality and beautifully presented by chef Marco, the menu is very attentive to detail, absolutely recommended for a quiet dinner, attentive and non-invasive service, absolutely recommended for a pleasant evening, in our case an evening of Christmas greetings even if we suffered the absence of two people forced to stay home with seasonal flu.... we will definitely be back.

30/12/2025: Precise, attentive, and friendly service. The dishes were beautifully plated. The appetizers were well-made. The meatballs were very good. The macaroni with duck ragù was adequate. The meat wasn't very flavorful, and the herbs overpowered the flavor. Overall, however, they were good. The French ribs were good. The dessert was excellent. The value for money was excellent. Perhaps you could spend a little less. The atmosphere without tables would be very welcoming. Otherwise, it would be rather overwhelming.

10/12/2025: A truly excellent restaurant with a perfectly fitting name. Its menu features all the typical Venetian dishes (cod, tripe, musso, etc.) and much more. The half-portion option for many of their dishes is interesting, and they regularly offer themed dinners (pork, radicchio, etc.) and many other dishes in addition to their already extensive menu. The only downside is the deafening noise when the restaurant is full, but this is a problem that depends on the nature of the space and is not easily remedied.

28/12/2025: A small restaurant with excellent table and space arrangements, a very welcoming, well-maintained, and tidy atmosphere. The menu offers various meat specialties, from tartare to tagliata, as well as other very interesting dishes. All the courses were very satisfying, both in terms of presentation and the quality of the ingredients, which were top-notch.

02/01/2026: To be precise, it would be four and a half stars. Traditional cuisine with a remarkable focus on ingredients (the sopressa is excellent), a few dishes lack a certain edge to fully convince (the pasta e fagioli with radicchio), but overall, the food is decidedly good. The service was friendly and attentive; for two, we spent €110 for three dishes and three matching glasses each, a price I'd say in line with the quality offered. In central Treviso, definitely a place worth trying.

08/11/2025: Trattoria Monticelli is a place where you can eat well, savoring the atmosphere and flavors of times gone by. Since our last visit, it has been renovated and expanded, maintaining its rustic trattoria feel. The veranda area is lovely, with a burning stove to warmly welcome guests. The service is fast and friendly, everything is excellent, and the meat is top-quality. The stew with musso meat is a specialty, a dish rarely found at the restaurant and reminiscent of traditional dishes from the past. The desserts are also delicious and homemade, and worth sharing. My only complaint is that we were served a main course, but the side dishes were slow in arriving, which is why I took one star off the service.

29/12/2025: Christmas lunch with the final package… We booked for Christmas lunch, asking when we booked if there was a set menu or à la carte based on the restaurant's menu. The answer was à la carte, so we knew we'd find the usual menu… When we arrived at the restaurant, they presented us with a menu specially designed for Christmas, removing many dishes from the classic menu. We hadn't been told when we booked that we'd be served a special menu… The quality of the food was good, but the hardest thing to swallow was the obvious deception we saw at the cash register… Cocktail charge, €5 per person. An outrageous price for what is normal for this place, but up until this point it was a special day and that's understandable, and besides, it was correctly listed on the Christmas menu. We ordered coffees, which wasn't listed on the Christmas menus at €3 each. It practically felt like we were in Venice when the day before you pay at least half the price the next day at this place… Not to mention some dishes, like their macaroni. That's why the traditional menu costs €12, but the Christmas menu is inflated to €16, with no changes whatsoever in presentation or quantity compared to normal, but only because it's Christmas... Basically, transparency and honesty never pay again. I understand that you want to earn more. At least create a menu, set it at €60, and don't require reservations, saying you have the à la carte menu and then inflating all the prices.
