22/04/2025: Nice slopes and fantastic skiing

20/04/2025: Google showed this place opened until 6pm. Got there at 3pm and they said kitchen was closing at 3:30. We felt unwelcome and we were told they have VERY minimal selections during that time, even butter noodles will take them a lot of effort according to the hostess. Went to a restaurant called Le Moulin Valtournenche whose kitchen was also closing soon at the time but they accommodated us and made us THE BEST pasta and pizza we have ever had!! The whole pie cost €9 which was incredible value!

24/04/2025: Welcoming, very friendly staff, delicious food, excellent polenta, delicious game. Very careful for those who are gluten intolerant. For those who want to taste typical foods.

12/05/2025: Truly a magical place, made so both by the wonderful landscape of Piano Battaglia, and by the staff and above all thanks to Carmela and Carmelo, the owners. Really kind and helpful people. What great chats! I really recommend using the refuge in both winter and summer!

12/05/2025: After crossing the Quacella amphitheater we arrived at Piano Battaglia, we found the restaurant still open and we met Carmelo and Carmela. Two people who love and respect the mountains like few others, a very pleasant chat, an excellent beer and the altruism that only genuine mountain people can give you. Highly recommended!

07/05/2025: Lovely place, excellent food and service too. The managers are very friendly and welcoming. The wine list is excellent. I have to say that for now it is the best restaurant I have tried in the area.

05/05/2025: We found this place a bit by chance... after a long walk looking for a place to eat early (it was 7pm) I accidentally spotted the entrance to this magical place... Attentive, nice service, as if we had been welcomed by an aunt or a family member, we ate a first course each because we didn't have time to linger any longer, everything excellent and delicious, fair prices, charming and warm location, if we return to Saint Vincent it will definitely be a safe stop. Thank you!!

The quality-price ratio is excellent, with a truly impressive selection of wine labels. The food is sublime, prepared with great skill, combining the elegance of gourmet cuisine with abundant and generous portions. I have rarely found cuisine of this caliber in Cervinia. I highly recommend visiting it, because it has no comparison in the area. A true jewel for lovers of good food!"

18/04/2025: Really enjoy eating here. Always feel welcomed by the friendly warm staff. The food is excellent and highly recommend the pork shank and the chestnut dessert. Only disappointing thing was they were fully booked for the last day of our holiday. Will book in advance next year.

11/05/2025: Very nice characteristic Aosta Valley restaurant with phrases carved into the wood in Patois dialect. The owners are very very kind and helpful. The foods are of high quality and almost all rigorously prepared by them; from lime honey to lard, from chestnuts to cured meats. The polenta deserves a special mention as it was prepared and cooked in a copper cauldron over a wood fire by the grandfather who serves it with so much love and delicacy. I went for the first time with my family and I will definitely return very soon. A suggestion? Let us advise you in choosing the menu which will surely surprise you.... Platter of cold cuts, platter of cheeses, chestnuts with curls of butter, polenta with Fontina cheese. Booking recommended....

04/03/2025: Il locale è molto affollato, soprattutto nei weekend (giorni di maggiore afflusso sulle piste da sci). Siamo andati a pranzare più giorni! Cibo molto buono con pietanze locali! porzioni abbondanti! Dispongono menù riservato anche ai più piccoli! Personale gentile e servizio molto rapido! Unica pecca il fatto che non si possono richiedere e consumare all'interno panini e piadine (si possono consumare solo ai tavoli esterni) mentre in passato si potevano consumare anche nei tavoli interni!

04/05/2025: Nice experience at Sabot. Typical and super relaxing environment. Very kind staff and good Aosta Valley food. Everything perfect. We would have liked to do a double but the second time it was full. Let's go back!

27/03/2025: Unfortunately our Valle d'Aosta polenta had a minimum of cheese, (practically invisible) certainly not comparable to the classic ones that are always well mixed and with well-dissolved fontina! Without flavour. I can't recommend.

02/05/2025: Visited La Maison de Filippo in Entreves, Courmayeur, and it was a charming experience! This historic restaurant, open since 1965, has a cozy, rustic vibe with vintage decor that feels like stepping back in time. I tried the traditional Valdostan ravioli and polenta—tasty and authentic, though portions were smaller than expected. The staff was friendly but service slowed down when it got busy. Prices are on the higher side, but the Mont Blanc ice cream dessert was a highlight! Perfect for soaking up Aosta Valley’s atmosphere. Recommend for a unique dining experience!

29/03/2025: Ristorante valdostano caratteristico. Ambiente caldo, legno, luci soffuse e arredo rustico e di charme. Menù altalenante. Primi buoni, ma con qualcosa fuori posto (una polenta concia che, oltre alla fontina, è condita con un altro formaggio, e una zuppa alle cipolle poco brodosa, anzi quasi asciutta, e con cipolle molto caramellate). Eccellente carré di agnello. Valdostana buona ma fontina e prosciutto preponderanti sulla carne. Torna eccellente coi dolci (crema di cogne e la torta dei salassi al caramello col baffo di panna fatta in casa). Lista vini curata e varia. Servizio molto piacevole e in generale viene voglia di tornare. A presto!

27/04/2025: What can I say, we found ourselves in Cogne almost by chance and almost by chance we entered this restaurant. You can't imagine the service and courtesy being at the top and the food could only be super. Little red circle in my diary of restaurants to return to.

07/05/2025: Excellent restaurant. Good food and warm atmosphere. Given that the waitress was very kind to us, the only flaw is that when we were there there were many changes to the menu which were only verbally reported to us by the waitress, if there are a couple it's not a problem but when there are many it would be better to make a piece of paper to attach to the menu otherwise the customer will forget what he was told.

24/04/2025: I liked it. Small, family run environment. Few culinary choices but of quality. Some dishes were no longer available also because we were at the end of the season.
