06/07/2025: We had lunch at the Foyer des Guides on a beautiful summer day and were thrilled. The location is truly priceless: a postcard view of the mountains of Valtournenche that alone is worth the visit. The cuisine is authentic and tasty, I had tasty polenta concia and tagliatelle with venison ragù. Also ideal for families: outside there is a nice playground with ping pong and trampolines, where children can have fun safely while parents relax in the sun.

29/07/2025: Always available and very attentive to customers, the food is always excellent. Here, as throughout the valley, be careful with the wines! Excellent as always.

27/07/2025: The atmosphere is delightful, with well-spaced tables and not too noisy, perfect for a relaxing dinner. The food and wine were excellent, and we appreciated the vegetarian and vegan options. The service was courteous and discreet.

06/07/2025: Searched on Google, driven by the more than positive reviews, we stopped for a lunch as a couple and I must say that expectations were not disappointed: excellent dishes cooked with quality ingredients, trained and friendly staff, attention to the customer and promptness in satisfying the different needs (for example, sharing a dish that arrives already plated separately, or bringing the meat with different cooking methods according to personal taste ...). Not least the location immersed in the greenery of a small village ... Highly recommended restaurant 😊

14/06/2025: When entering this classical Italian eatery to enjoy a Valdostano menu you feel like being transferred some fifty years back in time, not only by the interior decoration but also by the soft jazz being played over the loud speakers and the strict black and white outfit of your fun English speaking waitress. It was only the white apron that was missing. I had the best polenta ever and wines by the glass were excellent. Overall good value for money!

06/08/2025: Excellent welcome and they speak French! Extraordinary generous dishes. We had the beef fillet with local blue cheese and the meat was super tender with a sauce to die for. Really don't hesitate to come and book because at 8 p.m. it was full. Fast service with a smile and really highly recommended. We'll be back as soon as we're back in the area.

13/07/2025: A fantastic surprise. Delicious and plentiful food. Super friendly and helpful staff. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by. The prices are very fair considering the quantity and, above all, the quality of the food. The cotechino is superb.

15/08/2025: Excellent! The food was good (to say the least). The portions were more than generous. The atmosphere was wonderful (see photo). The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. We had various appetizers, cured meats and cheeses, risottos (the chef's was recommended), and venison fillet. Every dish was excellent, plentiful, and beautifully presented. The children's menu was very varied (my daughter had pasta with venison ragù). In short, if you're passing through or staying in Cogne, you have to try it. 5 well-deserved stars.

The atmosphere is meticulously maintained, and the staff strives to make guests feel truly pampered. Kindness, courtesy, and expertise are evident throughout. Highly recommended!!! 29/07/2025: We booked on the recommendation of our hotel—a perfect choice! The waiters were knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive, both in service and customer service. We had a great time. The food was very good and freshly prepared. The first courses and the fondue with polenta were delicious. Average prices.

10/08/2025: There were four of us: some very good dishes. Some things to keep in mind: poor organization (is the family-run business partly to blame?); the Valdostan soup here is prepared without cabbage. I ordered a Valdostan-style rib steak: it's not specified that the size of the rib steak can vary greatly (but the price doesn't). Always ask: you risk overpaying for a dish or wasting food.

03/06/2025: Purtroppo questa volta hanno toppato. Ho scelto questo ristorante perché lo reputo fra i migliori in zona e lo frequeto volentieri non solo per il buon cibo la anche per la gentilezza del servizio e la posizione. Il menù è prettamente valdostano. Fra i piatti tradizionali io scelgo sempre quelli basici ed in particolare la zuppa valtellinese che qui ho sempre trovato buona. Questa volta però sono rimasto deluso in quanto se pur gli ingredienti c'erano mancava completamente il brodo. Così la zuppa era un mappazzone asciutto, da mangiarsi con la forchetta e poco piacevole. Fatto presente al cameriere, mi riferiva dalla cucina che il problema era derivanto dal diverso pane utilizzato che avrebbe assorbito il brodo.....beh, non mi sembra una buona giustificazione e sarebbe bastato ritirarmi il piatto, aggiungere un po' di brodo caldo e tutto risolto. Così non è stato ed il sono rimasto con il mio deludente mappazzone. Fra le altre portate una tagliata non era granché....carne un pò dura; lo Spezzatino così così. Buone ed abbondanti le tagliatelle al ragù, buono il lardo sul tagliere. Abbiamo anche bevuto un buon vino locale consigliato dal gestore sommelier. Buono il servizio, prezzi nella media, peccato per quella zuppa. Spero di ritrovarla buona la prossima volta.

19/08/2025: I didn't stay at this hotel, but I had a pleasant time there. It's very welcoming and in a beautiful location, offering excellent local cuisine and friendly, efficient service. I'd just suggest the owners install a fan in the dining room, as it's a real shame to be enjoying excellent food and feeling so hot! The common areas are very well-kept and attractive, especially the downstairs room, which is very welcoming and overlooks a small garden with a hot tub. Its central location makes it easy to reach the lovely lake and surrounding lawn. Ideal for a relaxing holiday. Special thanks to the kind owner and the friendly and professional receptionist Carola. I will gladly return.

15/08/2025: We had dinner at this agriturismo just outside Aosta; the menu is varied and interesting, with several dishes and some "daily" options (gnocchi, crepes, roasts). You can choose one of three set menus ranging from around €30 to €35: an appetizer-only menu, a full menu, and a vegetarian menu. We opted for the à la carte menu, and everything was well-cooked and delicious. The ingredients are excellent—I especially remember the very tender roast beef—and the home-cooked cuisine exudes tradition. The prices are more than fair, the service is friendly and quick, despite the dining room being full, and the staff is just one very capable woman. I highly recommend it!
