08/01/2026: My husband and I stayed for New Year's Eve and left on January 2nd. We both stayed and dined at the Locanda, and it was a wonderful experience! Everyone was very kind, and the dinner was superb! Breakfast was meticulously prepared, with a different dessert made every day by the owner of the Locanda! Highly recommended! We'll be back soon! 23/02/2026: We were visiting Perugia and found ourselves in the square around dinner time. We approached the restaurant and asked if they had room for three. The owner, a bit blunt but still kind, told us that all the tables were booked, but some reservations were after 9:30 PM. So, if we agreed to leave by 9:30/9:45 PM, he'd find us a place. It wasn't even 8:00 PM yet, so we accepted without hesitation and sat down at a nice table next to the French doors overlooking the square.
We ordered three appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, and three desserts. Everything was quite good, the battered artichokes were truly remarkable. Once we'd finished the first course, we ordered a second course. In the end, everything went well, and we even had time for coffee and an amaro. The waiter was really kind, but the person at the cash register had a bit of a rude attitude. That's all, if we ever pass through Perugia again, we'll go there again.

24/05/2026: We stopped here for a relaxed lunch. We sat outside, which was very nice. The dining room looked lovely. The waiter was super nice and helpful. We ordered a charcuterie plate and some wine. The plate was huge - very comfortably enough for two. The focaccia was really delicious. There were meats on the plate that I've never seen before, but would love to find again. I can't speak to what the pasta or main dishes are like, but based on our experience, I'd recommend this restaurant.

Well, I was driving immersed in great archetypes of beauty, goodness, and Umbrian wisdom.
At a certain point, a cool, shaded terrace materialized. It seemed suspended and floating and resonated with the most beautiful vibrations. Beauty, peace, and serenity.
Only those who are in tune with these frequencies and don't live in a rush will agree with me when I say that service, wait times, decor, etc., don't matter. When you're in a position of power, it's best to enjoy it. You sit back and listen to life spread like a slice of bacon on a hot bruschetta appetizer. You enjoy food you only dream of in the city.
In fact, I think it was a dream...
But I can't wait to have it rematerialized when I return to Umbertide.

14/06/2025: Se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino… non ero mai stato in Umbria e ho avuto la grande fortuna di trovare un posto come questo, dove la gentilezza la qualità dei prodotti e l’accoglienza di sicuro non sono mancati… Colazione strepitosa con torte fatte in casa… e tanta cortesia… ho letto recensioni che si lamentano della strada! Non riesco a capirlo, abitando in Piemonte per noi le strade così sono uno standard… ringrazio lo staff per l’ospitalità e non vedo l’ora di ritornarci… Grazie davvero ce ne vorrebbero tanti di ristoranti così…🧡🧡🧡🧡
