11/04/2026: Terrible restaurant in every way. Tables practically crowded together, too crowded. I hate dining next to strangers, especially if they're as rude as we were... but the most unnerving thing is the food and the service. They brought a slice of bread with a strange sauce without asking, so I asked what it was and the answer was "Tuscan meat." I tasted it and literally felt like vomiting. It was liver with a very strong flavor, inedible! Saying it was liver, was it too expensive??? I have the right to know what I'm eating!!! The first course arrived, pappardelle with prawns and asparagus, a completely unseasoned dish with the asparagus literally tough and woody. I had to add oil twice to eat the pasta, the whole thing was completely disjointed and tasteless. For the second course, we had pistachio salmon, which was a shame it was SPOILED. It stank terribly, and the water around it said it all. What can I say...they didn't even bother to apologize, and that makes me even more infuriating! It's been years since I've eaten so badly at a restaurant. Never again!

01/03/2026: We stopped in after a visit to the area. The place is rustic and charming. The staff was courteous and friendly, but the real highlight is the menu: the quality of the ingredients, fresh and flavorful, was evident right from the appetizers. The pappardelle and wild boar were excellent. We'll definitely be back!

08/01/2026: My husband and I stayed for New Year's Eve and left on January 2nd. We both stayed and dined at the Locanda, and it was a wonderful experience! Everyone was very kind, and the dinner was superb! Breakfast was meticulously prepared, with a different dessert made every day by the owner of the Locanda! Highly recommended! We'll be back soon! 15/03/2026: I returned to this restaurant after many years to spend Christmas Eve with my family. What a tragedy!! The food was so inedible that we got up and left halfway through the first course, causing a huge inconvenience in finding an alternative place, given that it was the evening of December 24th. Having reported this to the staff, we were still given the full bill, without even deducting the cost of the first courses, which we left in full. I should add that we were freezing cold because the wind was blowing through the closed windows. What a disappointment. I RESPOND TO YOUR RESPONSE THAT IT WAS NOT ONLY RUDE BUT COMPLETELY MADE UP. Furthermore, if you read carefully, I wrote "we got up halfway through the first course," so we did have full bellies, thanks to the place that miraculously opened, "Grano e Sale," which was not only open but also good. THE QUARREL WITH THE NEIGHBORS IS YOUR sad invention. I enclose the payment to prove that we then went to dinner, with half-empty bellies (it was 1 appetizer shared among the 3 we ordered).

15/03/2026: Bad experience... we had to ask for bread several times, the appetizer was barely 30 euros... the meat seemed good... but you can't stay 2 hours to eat something... the gluten-free pasta was raw and very salty... I don't recommend too much smoke and no roast... I understand why I found a place at the last minute

26/12/2025: Today we had the pleasure of lunch at this truly unique restaurant, located inside a charming cave. The staff was immediately friendly and welcoming, especially the owner Fabio, who made us feel right at home. If you're a meat lover, this is definitely the place for you.

23/02/2026: We were visiting Perugia and found ourselves in the square around dinner time. We approached the restaurant and asked if they had room for three. The owner, a bit blunt but still kind, told us that all the tables were booked, but some reservations were after 9:30 PM. So, if we agreed to leave by 9:30/9:45 PM, he'd find us a place. It wasn't even 8:00 PM yet, so we accepted without hesitation and sat down at a nice table next to the French doors overlooking the square. We ordered three appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, and three desserts. Everything was quite good, the battered artichokes were truly remarkable. Once we'd finished the first course, we ordered a second course. In the end, everything went well, and we even had time for coffee and an amaro. The waiter was really kind, but the person at the cash register had a bit of a rude attitude. That's all, if we ever pass through Perugia again, we'll go there again.

26/01/2026: Terrible. A platter with four slices of prosciutto, four slices of capocollo, and two pieces of cheese with honey and mustard, 27 euros...kudos to you for the theft. Never again. Plus, the waitresses were incredibly rude.

01/01/2026: Good food, top-notch service, a welcoming but chilly atmosphere (from the cold). Unfortunately, lunch wasn't at all peaceful; in fact, it was downright annoying, as the door to the dining room (which led outside, where it was about 2°C) was left wide open by almost all the waitresses. Even though every time they passed, whether entering or leaving, I got up to close it and asked them to do the same, there was no way we could eat without freezing or having to run after them to close the door. Between my partner and I, we got up to close it dozens of times. But the thing that bothered us most was something else: when we got to the cashier to pay, we asked if everything was okay. When we mentioned the problem, we were told that since the kitchens are outside, it's normal for the door to be open to get through. After clarifying that it wasn't the crowds that were bothering us, but the fact that the door was left wide open all the time, we weren't offered any apologies; in fact, the girl at the register seemed almost annoyed by our observation. A word of advice: if you really want to eat here when it's cold outside, make sure you stay well away from the front door.
