04/08/2025: What can I say: arriving at the sources of the Clitunno River and enjoying delicious seafood dishes requires two considerations. The first, ethical, is that you can enjoy seafood dishes that are only dreamed of in renowned seaside resorts, or worse, passed off as such. The second, historical, is that the ancient Romans were truly a great people and it was no coincidence that they chose places like this. Thanks also for the discount. PS: I've added a photo of the Temple, because I didn't have time to photograph the food.

03/08/2025: This review is for the restaurant. The quality-price ratio is decidedly high. It's inexcusable in any way. It's not that the food isn't good, but a portion of eel was skewered on the plate. Three tiny pieces lined up. They must have weighed 100g for the modest price of €25. I don't know how much eel costs per kg. You can argue all you want, but not all customers are ignorant. It's a shame because the place is worth it.

04/08/2025: Carino più per la vista che per il cibo. Menù e locale un po’ old style, manca quel guizzo di modernità che renderebbe il tutto più appetibile. Il cibo l’ho trovato un po’ piatto, senza infamia e senza lode. Da rivedere.

26/07/2025: La vista che offre la terrazza è meravigliosa. Ma non è l’unico motivo per mangiare qui. Il cibo, infatti, è eccellente! Ragù di lepre e stufato di capriolo mi hanno conquistato. Il personale è gentile e preparato. Tutto questo ha reso la nostra cena una meravigliosa esperienza. Consigliato vivamente!

23/07/2025: I came back after a year and nothing doing, it's always a joy to eat here.... Thank you Monica and Mariano, you pampered us, filling us with spectacular local food, all fresh and authentic, with super generous portions, so much so that we almost couldn't get up from the table. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

06/07/2025: Pizzeria, restaurant, grill. Good meats and cheeses. Good arrosticini. Neat and clean environment. Too bad it faces the road and is a bit noisy. Prices in line. (8 arrosticini 11€, salad 5€, appetizer of meats and cheeses 9.5€)

18/07/2025: Il ristorante ha, dei tavoli all' aperto, il menù non è ampio ma con prodotti di qualità. Gli affettati, e la guancia molto erano buoni. Bisogna prenotare specialmente quando ci sono feste a Spello.

06/08/2025: Restaurants complain that they can't find the staff, that the kids don't want to work!!! But when you find the kids who are willing, you treat them badly, you yell at them, you humiliate them... you should just be ashamed of yourself.

05/08/2025: The one-star reduction is due to a delay in service, an unfortunate circumstance for which the staff apologized. We tried the pasta dishes (passatelli, bucatini, tagliatelle), which were good and substantial. Both the side dish and dessert were delicious.

29/07/2025: Ottima accoglienza, servizio celere, attento e reattivo ad ogni richiesta, piatti gustosi che hanno soddisfatto le nostre aspettative. Tagliere di salumi, formaggi e torta al testo buonissimo; il miele 🍯 in accompagnamento era ottimo, i salumi sembravano caserecci La carne di manzo e di agnello era molto tenera e saporita. Le verdure grigliate, sembravano fatte al momento: il radicchio arrostito così buono non l"ho mai mangiato. Forse nel tiramisù c'era troppo caffè, ma forse è un aspetto soggettivo.

24/07/2025: After reading the good reviews, we went here for dinner yesterday. It was an uninviting trattoria, and the food was just as uninviting. There was little flavor or experience. Unfortunately, we wouldn't choose this restaurant again.

24/07/2025: Chi dice di avere mangiato bene o aveva molta fame oppure non sa nemmeno lontanamente cosa vuol dire mangiare bene. Primi piatti: penne alla norcina ( condite con 2 pezzettini di salsiccia e un po' di panna con zafferano, sembrava uno di quei primi già pronti che trovi in busta al discount) Strangozzi alla spoletina: semplici spaghetti al sugo con aggiunta di un poco di aglio Secondi piatti: brasato al sagrantino (niente altro che qualche fetta di carne tipo roast beef troppo cotto farcito con una salsina al sagrantino) Pollo alla cacciatora: come sapore non è male ma è affogato nell' unto Contorni: insalata verde servita già condita a piacere loro e patate arrosto: buone e cotte il giusto. Dolce: mi sfugge il nome ma non era altro che un budino all'amaretto con un poco di caramello sopra però non male come gusto. Morale della favola: un mangiare normalissimo che puoi prepararti anche te stesso a casa e senza avere una gran esperienza culinaria e soprattutto senza spendere 55 euro....PS:la birra alla spina non esiste, o ti bevi la Peroni in bottiglia da 33cl o ti bevi la Peroni in bottiglia da 66cl

09/08/2025: We decided well in advance to have a reunion in Valsorda after many years of absence, and we chose the restaurant da Clelia even though we had never been there. I had an organizational discussion with the manager, a certain Mrs. Marianna, who recommended from the beginning that we order the set menu, but since there were 16 of us and not 160, I replied that we would do à la carte, and precisely for this reason I repeatedly asked for a reference menu, which never arrived. On the day of lunch, the place was certainly not crowded, and the friendly but rather brusque waiter practically forced us to choose the set menu with two first courses, which not everyone ordered due to conflicting tastes, and a second course. The red wine was warm, the white barely chilled, and there was no ice bucket. Finally, for dessert, they only brought one, which was passable, and when we asked for more desserts, the waiter replied that the kitchen was closed. For 16 of us, they could close the entire restaurant. Finally, when we asked for a proper receipt (€700) and not just the courtesy one... the wait was embarrassing. See you never again and good luck....you really need it

25/07/2025: If you're visiting Assisi, Hotel la Rocca is a strategic choice. It's located right at the top of the historic center, and since Assisi is a very steep city, you can easily explore it by walking downhill, passing all the points of interest, starting with the Duomo, which is just steps away, and then continuing down to the church of San Francesco. If you're lazy (like me), once you've explored the city, you can take the city bus C to the upper terminus, just steps from the hotel. The same bus also takes you to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the train station. Everything is within easy reach. The hotel is also close to the Rocca Maggiore, which can be reached via a short, pleasant, uphill walk. The restaurant is excellent, offering delicious, hearty lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. The restaurant terrace offers a breathtaking view. The staff is friendly and helpful.

18/06/2025: Out of all the places we stayed, this was the one we were most disappointed with. Bed was representative of the hotel's name. Staff was least welcoming and we had the most diffulty in communication at meals.

06/08/2025: Di passaggio a Fabro con la mia compagna, dopo il solito giro alla Pieve, ci siamo trovati in questo fantastico locale, consigliatissimo da molti commercianti e persone del posto. Ci sarebbe molto da dire.....mi limito alla gentilezza e professionalità della proprietaria che riesce a farti sentire a casa anche se a chilometri di distanza, al servizio veloce e preciso (addirittura un piccolo assaggio di sfiziosita interne prima di quello ordinato, a noi è toccata la pappa al pomodoro.....deliziosa), ai piatti fantastici e tipici, (non mancano i fuori menù del giorno)......locale con una storia epica e affascinante.....insomma....CONSIGLIATISSIMO.........TORNEREMO.....

29/07/2025: A trattoria-restaurant in the historic center of Carnaiola di Fabro. It's located in a medieval building, but it's very well-maintained. They serve all the traditional Umbrian dishes, prepared with care. The staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are a little higher than average, but the ingredients are top-quality. I highly recommend it.

26/04/2025: Un posto che ti porta indietro nel tempo! Caratteristica trattoria di una volta, sia negli spazi che nel menù! Piatti semplici e buonissim, da provare!
