La Locanda di Desideria In Fabro

I stopped at this restaurant for lunch on Friday on my way to Tuscany. The atmosphere is truly refined and youthful (like the owner). They have a wide selection of excellent local wines, and the food is simply heavenly. I can say that the pici al aglione I ate here surpassed any I had in the Val d'Orcia. I highly recommend this restaurant, it's good value because you can taste the care they put into selecting the ingredients. We'll definitely be back.

Good ingredients. Beautiful, very charming location. Unfortunately, even though we arrived at 1 pm with only three tables occupied, we ordered right away so the kids could eat. We ate our appetizers right away, but we had to wait over an hour for our first and second courses because the place had already filled up. The service could be improved. Otherwise, it was okay.

We happened upon this place a few days ago. The food was truly excellent! Pappardelle with wild boar was delicious. And not to mention the pici with asparagus and truffle, which have become my favorite! The cheesecake was also truly excellent! And I'm one of those who judge cheesecake highly! This place is one of the best. I highly recommend this place, but she turns a blind eye to the person serving you. The black-haired girl who served us was a real disappointment. Let's start with the fact that she came to serve us in a snort. Between courses, she would even glare at us and even give us dirty looks. Never a polite smile. Only at the end (perhaps happy that we were leaving) did she give us a huge smile, and for the first time we actually felt her beg when we thanked her. Totally rude. Despite this, I highly recommend this place just for the food and the charming brick-built venue with soft lighting!

Excellent food, very friendly owner and staff. The place is beautiful! Special praise goes to the chef and his staff, who managed the delivery of the dishes in a synchronized manner and without long waits, despite the fact that there were a group of about fifty people in addition to the regular customers!

I stopped for lunch after visiting La Scarzuola without a reservation. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff despite the high workload.

A charming and unique location in a medieval area. Excellent welcome and service from a very nice and knowledgeable woman with excellent suggestions on local food and wines. From starters to desserts, everything was excellent... delicious homemade pasta... even the meat was perfect... impeccable timing and service...

An excellent experience at this restaurant, where the flavors of Umbrian and Tuscan cuisine take center stage. A true gem, offering authentic dishes, carefully prepared using quality ingredients. Many compliments to Desideria, the owner, and her father, who, with their kindness and professionalism, make the atmosphere even more pleasant. A welcoming place that I recommend to anyone who loves authentic traditional cuisine.

You only end up there if you know it or, like me, by lucky chance. But once you know it, you definitely want to go back. I think when a place is good, even the salad... but let's face it, you can taste that everything is carefully chosen. Be careful with the house wine because it goes down like a charm!
