I recommend it if you want to eat something that truly reminds you of grandma's food.
Trattoria da nonna Clara, becomes one of my favorites!
16/08/2024: 4 of us had dinner at this restaurant, chosen based on the reviews. Great place. Different from the more "commercial" restaurants. Homemade pasta (linguine with wild boar a must try) and amazing Florentine steak. Staff who, despite being full, were always very attentive and available for a chat or advice.
To return.

06/07/2024: We were recommended to go to this restaurant by our apartment host. It was full the first night we attempted to dine, so had to book for the Friday. So glad we went back, the food was excellent, as was the service. The veal stew, sausages with beans, pork ribs with olives, and the "chicken roasted under a brick" (the English translation) were delicious. So were the sides and desserts, the prosecco and house red were tasty. And it was all very reasonable. The dining room is lovely, and the air conditioning welcome in the heat. Can definitely recommend, just wish it was closer to go more often!
22/06/2024: Come sempre una garanzia. Cibo ottimo, accoglienza cordiale, servizio rapido, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. D'estate nella zona all'aperto sotto le Mura c'è una deliziosa frescura.

Voortreffelijke service, heerlijk authentiek eten, Zeker niet duur. Gezellig, zeer gastvrij.

23/07/2024: Out of curiosity I ordered a typical dish from Lucca, Tardelli with ragù, well what can I say, a bomb of flavour, the filling nice and full, the ragù cooked well with good minced meat, the staff very friendly and nice, a good place to eat good pasta.

27/08/2024: Place located very centrally in Lucca with a (paid) car park nearby.
Really tasty food, portions well suited to the price with little choice for vegan/vegetarian friends. The only flaw was that it may have been a complicated evening (it happens to everyone) but the waiting times for the various dishes were well extended; the management of external spaces could be improved. If you're not in a hurry, a great place to eat mouth-watering dishes.

09/08/2024: Very particular place where Ca..o reigns supreme! Phallic-themed furniture and food with phallic-themed names.
It's immediately very unique and makes you laugh, then after a while it seems a bit forced to me.
However it is worth a visit

24/08/2024: Went with my parents. Our main courses came before our wine and when we asked the waiter for our wine we were treated with utter contempt and this continued for the rest of our meal. It is not ok for any customers to be treated like this. The food was very average and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

26/07/2024: Nothing to note negatively. It was not the first experience but nevertheless the first time of the evening (Thursday) exclusively Japanese cuisine. Knowing the chef from the other restaurant in Lucca, Nidia, which is only Japanese, we expected the confirmation which promptly arrived.
Particularly appreciated in summer since you dine outdoors.

17/08/2024: Finalmente un locale in cui il menu è scritto a chiare lettere sulla carta e non occorre fotografare quel grottesco e volgare quadratino fatto di quadratini.
Ambiente piacevole. Cena semplice ed eccellente a base di pesce. Servizio gentile ed efficiente. Conto onesto.
14/07/2024: Ristorante rilassante , si mangia all’aperto in estate e c’è un piccolo parco giochi molto utile se si hanno bambini . Cucina varia con un tocco di fantasia e molto ben eseguita . Ottime materie prime .. buonissimo rapporto qualità prezzo .. così buono che in un mese ci siamo stati già tre volte ..

17/08/2024: Nice place with quality Tuscan cuisine, definitely adequate prices, I agree with the choice of not having bulk wine but letting you drink the bottle of wine you want and paying only for what you consume to accompany excellent food.
We will definitely be back.

Returned again and again every year and I must say the quality pays off keep it up.

01/09/2024: Family restaurant in heart of Lucca. NO TOURISTS which made it so much nicer for us.
30/08/2024: It's a trattoria from times gone by. It must not have changed much in the last 50 years.
Happy, smiling staff and excellent food. The spelled soup was delicious, as was the fried chicken, which we also took home, the portions very generous.
Let's hope it doesn't change.

18/07/2024: Abbiamo mangiato da Alfredo oggi con una prenotazione. Naturalmente 10 minuti prima delle 19:00 sul posto. Ci hanno fatto aspettare fuori con la spiegazione che non aprivano fino alle 19:00. Poi siamo rimasti fuori per 25 minuti, a nessuno importava. Solo dopo ulteriori indagini hanno cercato la nostra prenotazione. Alla fine abbiamo ottenuto quello che probabilmente era il tavolo peggiore tra oltre 100 tavoli.... Poi il dramma è continuato.... Piaga di zanzare e formiche giganti sul nostro tavolo.... Anche ordinare il cibo ha richiesto molto tempo..... Ciò che poi mi ha colpito è che i prezzi nel ristorante erano notevolmente più alti che nella vetrina esterna. Poi è arrivato il cibo... Retrogusto insapore, bruciato, disgustoso. e nessuno era interessato a quel tavolo. Volevamo solo andarcene.

09/08/2024: What a great location with beautiful views. Lovely terrace and what a nice staff. The food is really delicious. You immediately feel welcome here. We are lucky that we can sleep a few nights at this beautiful location. Clean room and bathroom.
05/08/2024: The inside of this café is extremely inviting with ample seating and perfect atmosphere. At 420 meter the café also provides a stunning view of the mountains and the ocean in the distance. On a hot summer day the slight breeze on the terrace is perfect. Because of the altitude the terrace is anyway a couple of degrees cooler than nearby Lucca (30min) or Pisa (45min). They offer a simple menu with good food. Very pleasant service. And reasonable prices. Come to watch the beautiful sunset. Or, if you want during the day, time for ice cream, or an excellent coffee! Five stars it is.
