A welcoming place for those who want to escape tourist spots.
12/01/2026: Excellent lunch. Prices are a bit high, but justified by the attention to detail and the staff's expertise. We were looked after by a super-friendly woman. The music was perfect. The location isn't the best for Taormina, but it's worth it. The only thing I would have avoided was the presence of someone I believe to be the owner, who not-so-gently "works" from a table away, taking orders, talking on the phone, etc.

The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The ambiance invites you to relax and enjoy the evening, simply unwinding.
A place you'll gladly recommend and return to yourself.

Small place, but suitable for an intimate dinner.
The staff was attentive and friendly, but not "syrupy," as often happens in places like this. I'll be back.
Edit after years, I remember the last experience:
After numerous business dinners, on one private occasion, we were served an inedible tuna dish. Years later, I still can't understand why, nor did we get an explanation or an admission with an apology when we pointed it out. This is undeniable and can be reported by several people at the table.
The only ones who didn't smell the stench were the waiters.

03/11/2025: A charming place, with a beautiful panoramic view, which makes everything romantic and stunning. The food is excellent, the dishes have immense flavor and are cooked and presented with great care.
The entire staff is professional, kind, and attentive to the guests and their needs.
The place is also super clean, which in my opinion highlights all the positive aspects of this place even more.
Highly recommended.
23/10/2025: La Taverna dell'Etna is one of those places that captures your heart even before your palate. Situated in a breathtaking panoramic location, it offers a spectacular view of Mount Etna and the sea that alone is worth the visit. But it's when the food arrives that you realize you're in a truly special place.
The cuisine is authentic, carefully prepared, and based on excellent quality ingredients, carefully selected and treated with respect. The staff is extremely friendly. In short, La Taverna dell'Etna is a place where the view enchants, the cuisine excites, and the hospitality makes you want to return. A little gem at the foot of the volcano. 🌋🍷

02/02/2026: A group of 9 people, 5 of whom were sick. One vomited, unfortunately we didn't go to the hospital, but we should have. Two of us really enjoyed the food, but I personally smelled bad, so I threw it all away and stuffed myself with bread, thinking there was something wrong with me. The next day, talking among ourselves, we figured it out. Never again.
01/02/2026: I haven't eaten here in a while, and I'm not just keeping the full 5 stars because I can't give them 6.
Compared to the last time I ate here, I noticed a leap in quality, savoring everything that came.
Respectful and attentive customer service.

13/11/2025: My wife, I, and some friends went to Il Gabbiano restaurant.
We had dinner with various seafood dishes, all rigorously fresh and carefully prepared. The staff was polite and well-prepared, and the owner, Vittorio, and his wife, were truly knowledgeable and very professional.
When you're in Capo D'Orlando, go there. We highly recommend it.

Small criticism: The olive oil bottle was placed empty on our table 🤔 (it can happen). After informing the staff, we received salad oil in bags 😢 for our salad.

28/11/2025: Wasn’t going to book this because of the central location for fear of this being a tourist trap…I was proved completely wrong! Hands down our best meal during a weeks stay in Taormina. Food was superb, reasonably priced and the service was great. It was very quiet when we visited but I imagine the atmosphere will be phenomenal when it is fully booked. The walls are adorned with photos of famous faces who have ate here and I understand why! 100% recommend you to try here if you are in Taormina…you will NOT be disappointed!
23/10/2025: This restaurant is pure rip-off. Before you even read the menu, you're already served water at the table, the price of which is conflated with the wine. The menu is expensive, and although I don't know how it tastes, the way it's done is very bad. This is the only weak point of Taormina restaurants. It's a shame, because the rest of the restaurant is great.

09/12/2025: I only ate the arancini with ragù... which I found very good... the service was also discreet but ok... the prices were honest... on the negative side... the cleanliness... a little dirty... the bathrooms then... too dirty... with all the dirty people who pass by there... it needs more attention and a bit more cleaning...

17/07/2025: Siamo capitati per caso in questo locale mentre consigliatoci da alcuni ragazzi del luogo; abbiamo scoperto un posto davvero incantevole! La location è curata e trasmette un’atmosfera calda e accogliente. Il personale si è dimostrato estremamente gentile e disponibile, sempre pronto a farci sentire a nostro agio. La qualità della cucina è ottima, con piatti ben preparati e ricchi di sapore che hanno reso la nostra visita ancora più speciale. Un’esperienza che ci ha sorpreso piacevolmente e che sicuramente ripeteremo!
03/07/2025: Een aardige plek, buiten, maar de bediening was erg onbeleefd en ongeconcentreerd. Alsof we eigenlijk niet bestonden. We bestelden 2 glazen witte wijn, er werd er éen in geschonken. Het kostte veel moeite om aandacht van een andere ober te krijgen, deze schonk tweemaal zoveel in. Het eerste glas was dus maar de helft.
Ook was er een soort chef, in niet passende kleding( camouflage shirt)
Het eten ( ravioli en zwaardvis) was héerlijk, maar zó ontzettend weinig!
We hebben behoorlijk gelachen om hoe een en ander ging, maar zijn helaas ontevreden.

07/06/2025: Wir sind aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen im Arco Rosso gelandet und werden bis jetzt nicht enttäuscht. Alles was wir hier gegessen haben ( und das inzwischen quer durch die Speisekarte 😊) ist sehr, sehr lecker. So wie es aussieht, ist das hier ein reiner Familienbetrieb und wird auch gerne von Einheimischen besucht. Man sitzt direkt am Meer. Das ist Urlaubsfeeling pur. Von uns eine 100 % Empfehlung. !

10/07/2025: Cena al tramonto con vista mozzafiato: i tavoli fronte mare rendono l’esperienza già speciale di per sé. La cucina si distingue per l’approccio monoproteico per piatto, con sapori netti e ottimamente bilanciati. Menù degustazione (noi quello da 10 portate), accompagnato da bollicine siciliane. Piatti di carne e pesce tutti centrati. Finale sorprendente: il dessert si compone al momento, davanti al cliente, scegliendo tra vari ingredienti. Esperienza tecnica, elegante e coinvolgente.
