18/10/2025: We hosted a reception for 25 guests to celebrate our daughter's graduation thesis, and it was a real success. The quality of the food was excellent, both the savory and the desserts. The variety and quality of the cocktails were also remarkable. And the cake topping was a true masterpiece in its deliciousness and balance. All this was accompanied by attentive and courteous service in a quiet and private setting. Thanks to Bar Benaco for a wonderful evening on such an important day for us.

16/11/2025: The place is very nice, small and charming. The staff is polite and professional, too bad it is few. To have a drink there is a long line, to eat the same. Dulcis in fundo of the barbecue there is no longer meat for everyone in equal measure and not even the side dish.

16/11/2025: Terrible place. We arrived at 1:20 AM and they charged us full price without telling us, honestly, that the place would close in 20 minutes. Disgraceful!!! There are far better and more honest places. Avoid.

04/11/2025: I was in downtown Rome for work and decided to invite two American colleagues out for dinner. Not wanting to travel far, I chose this restaurant. I highly recommend it for its excellent food. Excellent service, especially the curly-haired waiter, who spoke excellent English and was able to recommend wine, food, and cocktail pairings, making the lunch very enjoyable.

22/05/2025: Very good dishes, I tried the amatrivegan which was excellent. Too bad for the plastic tables and the waiters a bit too insistent.

18/07/2025: I went to this restaurant with high expectations, especially because a friend had highly recommended the chicken cacciatore. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. For my appetizer, I ordered breaded zucchini flowers with anchovies. The breading was so thick and greasy that the zucchini flowers couldn't even be tasted. The chicken cacciatore was submerged in oil between the skin and bones, there was very little cacciatore, and it was all accompanied by fried toppings that looked like they came from McDonald's! I don't doubt that others have had better experiences, but mine was below expectations and certainly not in line with the reputation I had been told.

16/07/2025: ⸻ Sono andato in questo ristorante con aspettative alte, soprattutto perché un amico mi aveva vivamente consigliato il pollo alla cacciatora. Purtroppo, è stata una grande delusione. Come antipasto ho ordinato i fiori di zucca impanati con le alici , l’impanatua era talmente spessa e grassa che il fiore di zucca non si sentiva proprio, il pollo alla cacciatora era sommerso nel olio tra pelle e ossa, di cacciatora c’era ben poco e il tutto accompagnato da patine fritte che sembravano uscite dal Mc Donald !! Non metto in dubbio che altri abbiano avuto esperienze migliori, ma la mia è stata sotto le aspettative e sicuramente non in linea con la reputazione che mi era stata descritta.

19/08/2025: There's nothing to complain about the food, given the quality and the enormous amount of work behind the scenes that justifies the expense. A sore point, since I won't be returning, is the fact that after requesting an invoice twice on different evenings, it never arrived. The worst thing is that I pointed out the failure of the first invoice on the second evening, and after being reassured that they would arrange for both invoices to be sent... after over a year, nothing has arrived in my tax drawer. It's a shame, truly a shame, that all this hard work has been wasted in such a petty way, even after payments were made using a traceable method.

25/05/2025: May 2025 I'm revising my 1-star review. Disappointed. The restaurant is closed... May 2024, I'm revising my review. I'm leaving the 2-year-old one. The staff isn't very attentive when serving food; I think they panic when the restaurant is a bit crowded. I'm giving 5 stars for the location, which is very welcoming, even reserved. In my review, I evaluate what I ate based on taste and price. 5 stars for the osteria's appetizer, which is very good, rich, and varied. 5 stars for the pinsa, which is very good and rich. 4 stars for the first courses, all good, but for my tastes, they're very salty. I recommend letting the chef know if you don't eat salt. 4 stars for the tiramisu they make, which is very good. Prices are normal compared to other restaurants I've been to.

22/10/2025: Expectations were high, but the reality wasn't. The dish was cooked as I would at home, and the quality of the ingredients was mediocre. The gruff host is a recurring character in Roman tradition, but a little attention, friendliness, and hospitality wouldn't hurt.

25/04/2025: Per quanto riguarda il cibo ed il servizio nulla da eccepire. Il problema sorge quando si arriva alla cassa dove la proprietaria calca la mano sul conto in maniera vergognosa...4 fettine di pane da 1 cm ciascuna 6 Euro...una grappa 9 euro...una liquirizia 5 euro . Vino che puoi acquistare a 9 euro te lo fanno pagare 24 euro...X me questo si chiama furto...Non mi vedrete mai più..

14/04/2025: Cibo di buona qualità, servizio cortese ma prezzi davvero esagerati. Il caffè costa 4 euro ed il pane 3...da lì si parte.

02/11/2025: By chance, we ended up at the restaurant Crispi19 on our way to Villa Borghese. At first glance, everything seemed fine - a nice terrace, comfortable chairs, and a friendly welcome from the staff. We decided to stop by for a quick bite and a drink - just a starter and some wine. We asked for a recommendation for an appetizer to share between three people. The waiter said he would prepare some artichokes, bruschetta, cheese, prosciutto, salami, and chorizo for us. In the end, the food was of poor quality - the artichokes were bitter and fibrous (at another table, the waiter claimed they were in season, which I highly doubt). The cold cuts were dry. To sum up, we got three bruschettas, two artichokes, four slices of salami, three slices of prosciutto, three slices of another ham, three slices of chorizo, and four small pieces of cheese. Two glasses of Pinot Grigio. The bill came to 115 euros… At no point were we informed about what exactly would be included in the set or how much it would cost - I admit that I should have asked. Still, in my opinion, this place is a scam, and if they sense they can rip you off, they will. In terms of hygiene it’s not an A as well - instead off cleaning, wiping the dining mats they just turn them over on the other side. Don’t stop, Pass by.

13/06/2025: There was 4 of us looking for a nice restaurant for our last night in Rome. I found this one - excellent rating. When we eventually found it, we had to queue for about 10 minutes, then seated down the side of the restaurant (first reaction was that it seemed out of the way). We all ordered our meals and drinks, my husband got his first (a pizza), then about a minute or two later, spaghetti bolognese arrived for one of our friends. About 2 minutes more, my mushroom ravoli appeared. We were still waiting for one meal (beef steak strips) - that appeared 12 minutes after the first dish had arrived at the table. The steak was requested to be medium, and it appeared to be rare to medium rare - accompaniments of potatoes and rice were cold. My husband complained a couple of times and the wait staff seemed afraid of confront. But after asking for the bill, we noticed that the steak and a dessert had been comped. Definitely won't be going back, if we go back to Rome.

13/06/2025: Who’s writing these reviews?! Did we go to the same place? This is essentially Olive Garden in Italy. Have you Alfredo pasta and baked potatoes surrounded by zero Italians. The service is bad. The food is very bad. The drinks are tasty but this isn’t a bar. There’s so many other places to eat in Rome, let this be the review you believe

07/07/2025: Vine a Italia de vacaciones. Vine a este restaurante para tener una agradable cena junto con mi familia. Pedí una pizza Margherita y para mi sorpresa su presentación fue un desastre. Tenía muy poca cantidad de mozzarella y algunos quesos normales. Su base no estaba bien cocinada como otros restaurantes Italiano . Otro miembro de la familia tomó lasaña. La porción era más pequeña de lo normal y no contenía muchos ingredientes. ¡Qué experiencia tan desastrosa! Cuando fui a pagar y mi tarjeta fue rechazada, los camareros se miraron entre sí y se quejaron (fue solo un error de PIN) ¡Éste no es un auténtico restaurante romano! Esto es una falsificación.

03/07/2025: Lindo y pequeño lugar al lado de Piazza Del Popolo. Precio medio y menú extenso. El minestrone era generoso y fresco. La pizza tiene una auténtica corteza fina y crujiente. El personal fue muy amable e hizo todo lo posible para que nos sintiéramos bienvenidos y cómodos.
