Antica Pesa In Roma

My boyfriend and I had a good experience here for dinner on our last night in Rome! We enjoyed our cocktails and the bread was very tasty. My boyfriend especially recommends the duck appetizer which was presented in a cool way. Service was great and we would recommend!

Traditional Roman recipes re-interpreted. A very good place to make a slightly special dinner and get out of the pizza pasta routine in Rome. It is a very product-based meal but prepared with great detail. What fails, in my opinion, is the staff, a little dry and distant and perhaps a bit off in price for some of the dishes, I suppose that is the reason why you hear more English than Italian in the room between diners. Recommended to try traditional Roman cuisine, but I would be careful with the choice!

This establishment is widely recognized and well-regarded, offering the pinnacle of service accompanied by an exquisite selection of wines. However, it is noteworthy that for me the culinary offerings do not quite live up to the initial impression they present.

Welcoming and refined, friendly and professional staff. The cuisine is very good with dishes well prepared in the Roman tradition. the carbonara and the tagliatelle with anchovy butter were very good. To be honest, even the amatriciana-style slaps. Restaurant prices, as they actually are.

The absolute best place for dinner in Roma. Went for a date night and had a nice bottle of wine which was poured into a decanter 👌 We live in NYC and will be visiting their Brooklyn location soon!

Very good, I went there on the recommendation of a friend. I'm only sorry I didn't take photos. But we'll be back soon. We ate some first courses, which were excellent. It is located in Trastevere, organize yourself for parking. Advise

Ottimo ristorante che coniuga tradizione ed innovazione: piatti della tradizione romana rivisitati senza stravolgerli. Un ottimo tacos di trippa (molto buona al sapore di mentuccia), un assaggio di carbonara ottimamente cucinato ed una tartare di manzo con tartufo nero (in elevata quantità) molto godibile. Il tutto accompagnato da ottimi vini (lista di alta qualità) suggeriti dal cameriere e da pane caldo fatto in casa (da assaporare con dell’ottimo olio). Buono il servizio. L’antica pesa si trova a Trastevere nel luogo dove fino alla prima metà dell’800 sorgeva una dogana dello Stato Pontificio dove il grano veniva pesato per consentire la riscossione delle tasse e di fronte alla Caserma Podgora dove venne condotto Mussolini il 25 luglio 1943 dopo l’arresto. Il ristorante, frequentato spesso da celebrità del mondo del cinema, come Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro e George Clooney, e’ di proprietà da più di un secolo dalla famiglia Panella ed è gestita oggi dai fratelli Simone, a cui e’ affidata la cucina e Francesco, volto noto della tv, a cui e’ affidata la sala. La cucina è quella classica romana elaborata con materia prima di qualità e con pizzico di estro che la rende più attuale e leggera. Sfiziosi gli antipasti come la bufala calda in sfoglia croccante o il mini burger di salsiccia di San Biagio, provola, cicoria ripassata e l’ottimo ketchup di loro produzione o il carciofo in tre consistenze, mentre per i primi aldilà dei classici della cucina romana buone le conchiglie al nero di seppia con cozze e crema di patate. Semplici ma buoni i dolci e soprattutto il semifreddo di ricotta. Carta dei vini molto ampia grazie alla bellissima cantina che va visitata. Servizio attento e professionale.
