15/02/2026: Good evening, I am writing because I am disappointed and saddened by our experience at the Mastin Vecchio restaurant, having come for dinner as part of a stay package with the hotel, with a reservation at 9:30 pm. We waited about 15 minutes for a table (but even though it was Valentine's Day, I understand completely). We sat down at the table, mentioning that my partner is celiac (something we have mentioned several times at the hotel), asking the waiter for advice on what she could eat. The response was "ah well, you certainly know better what you can eat." We ordered 3 courses (as per the package) and I would like to point out that the first thing we were served was 2 Entrecôte dishes (with gluten), so we pointed this out and it was replaced with a raw ham rolled around a slice of radicchio. The appetizer arrived after a while and wasn't bad. The first one served to us at 11 (while people who had arrived later than us were already eating) consisted of a saffron risotto (I don't remember the other ingredients), hard. but edible, as for my cappelletto in brodo, however, it was inedible to say the least, with broth that was more water than broth and tasteless on all sides, oh we had to stop the second courses because at 11:15 with the room half empty we realized the time, and forgive me, I understand Valentine's Day, the customers and the difficulty in preparing gluten-free dishes while paying attention, but such a long wait with such an empty room... well, when we got to the cash register we asked if we had to pay anything (we knew that drinks and cover charge were extra) but €10 as a bill was quite unexpected, especially since we didn't take advantage of the second courses, I expected at least a discount, I break a lance to the owner (I think, based on the dress) very competent and friendly, and to the very kind waiters even if some were not very attentive, I hope my review can help you improve, because that evening unfortunately I wasn't the only one with the same idea.

My compliments, as is everywhere in Romagna, you are always very welcoming, even to our four-legged friends. I highly recommend it.

08/03/2026: I was here for a Sunday lunch with friends. The restaurant is located in the heart of the village of Bertinoro, beneath a panoramic terrace, so you can enjoy a beautiful view from the restaurant! 🤩 The restaurant is typically Romagna-style, as you can see from the menu in dialect, which unfortunately has also been switched from paper to digital with a QR code. The pappardelle with duck sauce and the cheese tasting were very good. Unfortunately, I give the service a bad rating, because I was particularly annoyed by the waiter/head waiter who dared to sing "Hallelujah" as soon as we left the table because we were the last to leave! 👎🏼

17/01/2026: We just want to compliment the entire place, because as big meat lovers as we are, we have to say that the flavor, cooking, and quality here are all perfect. The piada is superb, as are the potatoes and grilled vegetables. The staff is helpful, thoughtful, attentive, courteous, and professional. They know how to make you feel at home, and for these reasons, we'll be back and recommending it to all our friends. Our compliments to all of you!

22/12/2025: We ended up at this restaurant in December for a trip to the nearby port. It's like many others from the outside, but the inside is the same: classic but welcoming. We were seated right away, and the menu was particularly extensive considering it was a midweek lunch. We initially ordered two different pasta dishes, and while they looked inviting, they didn't taste good. They were completely lacking. By adding lots of grated cheese, we managed to make up for it. The main course was fine.

16/11/2025: I've been going to this restaurant for at least 15 years! Truly exceptional! The first courses are all delicious, with a special mention for the tagliatelle with ragù, which are unique. The second courses are also delicious, including boiled meat, braised meat, and exceptional pork shank. The desserts are all delicious, with special snacks featuring zuppa inglese and mascarpone cream with chocolate chips. To make yourself even happier, head to the cashier, where the bill will be among the most honest in the area.

24/10/2025: Rustic but anonymous place, the food didn't match the quality/price ratio at all. We ordered two steaks that we wanted rare (€25, they weren't even 200g each), but they arrived cold and overcooked, tough and not at all easy to chew. We didn't send them back because we were three friends who, caught up in conversation, ate without much thought. The other had the cappelletti in brodo, which were good, but the broth was lukewarm and didn't give us a chance to fully enjoy them. The service was good, with good explanations and the ability to list the dishes from memory (perhaps I would have appreciated the dessert menu being brought to me, where I could have chosen differently). I'm sorry to have to write such a review because it seemed like a local giant that absolutely had to be tried; I was greatly disappointed.

28/12/2025: Last night, after a few years, we returned to this splendid osteria. It's like entering a fairytale house: it's an enchanting place that smells delicious. We were welcomed by a very kind young lady who was attentive to our every need. We ate homemade delicacies made by their hands, starting with the bread and focaccia. Top-quality ingredients and attention to every detail ❤️

02/01/2026: I'm sorry, but I don't consider this restaurant to be as 5-star as others have reviewed: the atmosphere is neglected, some chandeliers are missing, others are broken, the curtains are missing... it seems like there's a lack of desire to make the place look well-kept and well-maintained. The gentlemen who welcomed us were a bit dismissive when we arrived with our dog, even though we'd asked over the phone if we could bring him; however, the waitress was kind. Finally, the food, as they say, is neither good nor bad: generous portions (and lots of garlic!), of course, but not particularly high quality. The price is average.
