09/06/2026: Spend 4 days in Ravenna pre cruise. The Hotel Bisanzio recommended the restaurant We ate there every night because the service was good, the food was good, I never repeated dinner choice although I would have reordered my first nights Pizza, it was that good. We ate outside, watched the swallows go into the tower and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was never inside so i was not aware of the size but I did wonder about some large groups that entered.

07/06/2026: I had a good and tasty experience here. I tried a dish with passatelli, which may not have been pretty, but was tasty. The location is good in the center of Ravenna, but does not offer any direct view or anything else that enhances the experience. The staff was nice and spoke both Italian and English. It was also easy to pay with cards. The prices are more on the expensive side than the other way around As a tourist, it may be good to know that the restaurant is closed for a while in the afternoon.

03/05/2026: A typical Romagna restaurant, with tasty dishes and generous portions. They don't normally serve fish, but from May onward, you'll also find dishes featuring mussels, clams, cod, and more, depending on their specials. I recommend following their profile to stay up-to-date. I was pleasantly surprised by their mussel day, which I particularly love. The lady (very kind and with an infectious smile) had reserved some for me and brought me a delicious pan-fried dish! She also accommodated my requests for vegetable accompaniments, and I recommend their vegetarian platter with plenty of oven-baked vegetables. If you prefer the Romagna menu, you'll find plenty of options, including mixed crostini, homemade first courses, and mouth-watering second courses, including many options with porcini mushrooms.

26/04/2026: Rustic place (rustichello), friendly and courteous people, very good mixed crostini, good meat as well, but in my opinion you have to try the first courses. We had to order them, and after the meat course, we shared a first course with ragù, very good. The homemade zuppa inglese was also very good. What can I say? If I have the chance, I'll be back to try other first courses and desserts. Highly recommended.

10/05/2026: We went today to celebrate my daughter Celeste's first communion. The food was excellent, and all the staff were great. I highly recommend it.

19/05/2026: I usually never write negative reviews; in fact, when I review a place, I almost always do so positively, appreciating the food and the service. This time, however, I feel reluctantly compelled to leave a negative review. After many years, we returned to this restaurant, where we always ate divinely, with quality and generous portions, without ever having anything to complain about. Unfortunately, this time, we really can't figure out what happened. The dishes were paltry, with prices decidedly exorbitant for what was served. I remembered abundant appetizers, each served in their own distinctive bowls and beautifully presented; this time, however, large, practically empty plates arrived, with almost invisible portions—a boo!! strategy. We know full well that the cost of living has risen and that many restaurants have had to adjust their prices, and that's understandable. However, if prices increase, at least the quantities should be maintained. Instead, here, we found both increased prices and reduced portions. Even their famous risotto, which we remembered as their true signature dish, arrived in a truly minimal quantity, served on a plate for two that almost looked like a single portion. We were honestly very disappointed, especially since we'd always had such fond memories of this place. I don't usually write negative reviews; in fact, when I review a place, I almost always do so positively, appreciating the food and the service.

09/05/2026: The food was really delicious, but the gentleman who showed us to the table had an unnecessary problem with us only having to sit where the table was set, as there were 6 of us on the tour, so there were a lot of people and we wanted to sit with someone somewhere that suited us.

05/06/2026: This is my third time here, thanks to the owners' friendliness and the excellent quality of the food. The first courses are delicious, carefully prepared, and everything is homemade. The meats are excellent, including rabbit, wild boar, and even the mixed grill. Highly recommended!

01/06/2026: The first time I ate here, we saw a mouse casually wandering around the sideboard. I should have avoided returning even then. Last night, however, the problem wasn't the food. While we were at the table, the owner turned to the person sitting with me and asked if she was "okay hanging around with a man like that," pointing at me. A question whose meaning or purpose, honestly, I didn't understand. When I pointed out that I found it inappropriate, I was told I was "a guilty conscience" and should remember that I was "very lucky." Again, I didn't understand the reason for these personal remarks, which had nothing to do with the context of a restaurant dinner. I found the whole thing inappropriate and unprofessional. I go to a restaurant to eat and have a pleasant evening, not to receive comments, judgments, or allusions to my private life. Informal hospitality is one thing. Allowing yourself to confide in and make personal observations about your guests is another.

10/05/2026: Finally, a true trattoria, in the truest sense of the word. As soon as you enter, the exposed grill awaits you, yet the air is clean, no heavy odors, no bothersome smoke. Just the scent of something slowly cooking. The wait was minimal, the service friendly without being overbearing. We were seated almost immediately, and from then on, it was a succession of dishes that spoke of the local area and respect for the raw ingredients. The tagliatelle were generous, carefully seasoned. The grilled meat, a massive rib-eye steak, arrived with that disarming simplicity typical of places that don't need to show off: arugula, lemon, and spices aside. The rest is up to the quality of the meat. The desserts weren't an afterthought: the caramel pannacotta was rich, anything but ordinary. The tart was a spectacle, crispy on top, soft on the inside. The price is fair, perhaps even generous considering the portions and quality. It's not a trattoria pretending to be a trattoria: it truly is, through and through. We'll definitely be back.
