The only small complaint is that the _correct_ phone number was only found on the St. Martin's Day menu taped to the window (the friendly waiter found it right away behind the counter), so the website updates are lagging a bit behind. Go and try it - with time!

12/11/2025: It's a beautiful place, and you expect something special from it, but... the food is very mediocre: the beef, I asked for medium, was raw and rare, EVEN after cooking it a second time! The stewed duck was okay, but nothing special, and I didn't like the frika at all. And the vegetables baked in cheese were a nightmare: sour, bitter greens, carrots, and a bunch of cauliflower. Horrible!!! The presentation is okay, but the taste... in general, for charmed tourists and people who don't appreciate food. Never again!!! Bottom line: minus 82€ and a ruined mood.

09/11/2025: A lovely restaurant with typical Friulian osteria decor. Very friendly but attentive service. The only flaw is the menu, which isn't written down but is read, leaving you with no idea of ​​the price. I prefer the menu with prices to help you decide what to choose. The dishes were very generous, traditional, and delicious. I found the pork cutlet a bit too stringy, but both the tripe and the first courses with duck and venison ragù were excellent! They offer biscuits and greens with coffee, a lovely treat to end the meal! We'll definitely be back; it was a positive experience.

01/11/2025: We ate here for the first time four weeks ago (as backpackers) and were thrilled. The excellent food (including Polpette della Nonna), the incredibly warm and welcoming staff, and the unparalleled hospitality – we were back again today and everything was perfect once more. We'll definitely be back.

23/09/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times. The prosciutto is definitely top-notch, among the best in the area. Excellent first courses and exquisite desserts. Generous portions. Fast and courteous service. I've never used the rooms.

05/09/2025: We are so happy that we stopped at this place while driving from the Dolomites to Slovenia. Everything was great, but our favourites were the Smoked Black Angus and the Beef Tartare as appetizers. Very friendly people!

31/08/2025: In a sudden craving for frico, I started searching Google for a place to satisfy this pressing desire. I tried the frico with onions and strisulis, the classic frico, and of course the crispy frico, which took me back to my childhood in a nanosecond... Amazing. Must try.

02/11/2025: Great place with great owners and staff. Rooms were comfortable, with a nice terrace. Nice touch: heating on in the bathrooms when we arrived at the end of October. Great dinner in the restaurant, if you arrive on the days it's opened. We needed adjacent rooms, travelling with 3 kids, and the response was swift and much appreciated. Will come back again one day. If only to get some more wine...

01/11/2025: We were guests for a birthday, we didn't know the place and it was a pleasant discovery, the food was carefully prepared, good and well presented, the portions more than satisfying, highly recommended, the beautiful bright room is suitable for various occasions....

28/10/2025: During a short holiday in Cividale in June, I ate here almost every day, mostly for lunch but also dinner: the place, with its tables under old trees, is enchanting and irresistibly inviting, with very good food and exceptionally friendly staff (which is by no means a given when you come alone, especially with a dog). The lady in charge (the owner?) in particular made my visits even more enjoyable with her hospitality.

We ordered cured meats, a pumpkin pie, sausage, and frico: everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The place doesn't have private parking, but it's easy to find a spot nearby, just a few steps away. Recommended!
