26/07/2026: Fantastic! Tonight we were passing through Trieste and accidentally discovered this traditional, home-style trattoria serving regional specialties. The food was divine: generous portions, everything was delicious and flavorful, and you could tell it was made with love. The pappardelle with sausage and pork cheek was truly out of this world. Special mention for the kindness of the owner and the rustic yet welcoming atmosphere, which makes you feel at home. The prices are super fair.

30/06/2026: Relaxing hillside view. We had a plate of frico, served both classic and crispy, both very tasty. A warm mushroom and cheese tart, very flavorful. The gnocchi with game were excellent and plentiful. A mascarpone dessert and two coffees. Total €60. I'd say that's fair, considering everything was excellent and the location was beautiful and romantic! Well done!

02/07/2026: A beautiful summer evening at Antico Leon d’Oro in Cividale del Friuli. The romantic courtyard creates a truly special atmosphere and invites you to linger. Even the appetizers were outstanding – we were particularly impressed by the baked escargots and the delicate vitello tonnato. The rabbit with creamy mashed potatoes was incredibly tender and delicious. The meal was accompanied by a wonderfully chilled Ribolla Gialla sparkling wine, which paired perfectly with the dishes. A real highlight was the homemade fior di latte ice cream, freshly prepared and served right at our table – a special and delightful finale. The service was attentive, warm, and professional. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening with excellent cuisine, a great ambiance, and genuine hospitality. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Friuli! 🍾🐌🐇🍨

30/06/2026: Had dinner with friends here and it was incredibile. The outside seating area was beautiful, the service was great and so was the food. Some antipasti, a primo, and two secondi all great. Ended with the ice cream which was wonderful. Elena and all the people were so nice. Will definitely go back again!

24/07/2026: It's a place dear to my heart. I did my military service here and used to have lunch there with my parents when they came to visit. Every time I pass by, it's a must-see. They're very kind and the food is excellent Friulian.

19/06/2026: Last night we had an institutional dinner with inspectors from outside. The service was distinguished by its professionalism, attentiveness, and punctuality. The elegant, well-kept atmosphere perfectly suited to the institutional context, combining sobriety and refinement. Special praise goes to the courtesy and kindness of the staff, especially the owner Anna, who helped create a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for everyone in attendance. Finally, the food was excellent: beautifully presented and plentiful. Excellent value for money. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I'm happy that there are still people who know what "UNION" means: TO BE A TEAM, BUT FIRST AND FOREMOST, A FAMILY. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STAFF AND EVERYONE. THE PROPERTY IS EXCELLENT, EVEN FOR ITS LOCATION FOR GETTING AROUND THE CITY CENTER WITH A STOP RIGHT UNDER THE HOTEL.

11/07/2026: We went yesterday for dinner and had a wonderful time. A quaint, historic place, with attention to every detail. Attentive, friendly service. Delicious food; we had risotto with burrata and lemon and tagliolini with San Daniele ham. The tiramisu was incredible. We recommend it in Udine.

29/03/2026: We stopped for lunch after a walk and were amazed by the beautiful location of the place where we could eat. The dishes are very good. Obviously, quality comes at a price, but in this case the prices are in line with the quality. Another plus is that you can bring your dog, although we ate outside because there was no seating inside. A positive experience.

Friendly staff, beautiful interior... then we had a long wait between the first and second courses... forgotten? So much so that the table next to ours complained about it. The desserts were on a trolley, right in the middle of the room, warm and without any covering... I might add, an entrecote of maybe 100/130g... €35. Not good enough!
